In town for a Christmas tree I ordered Petes to go. Awesome HUGE juicy burger with amazing cheese melting right off and the best Cajun mushrooms I can find above the mason Dixon line. The place is obviously a local hang out. Great price with awesome portions. This is seriously a no frill perfect the way it is monster burger. Will be back

I went to Pete’s with friends while out at the cabin. We didn’t want a heavy meal so came here for burgers and beer. Unfortunately, it wasnt good. The bartender was doing everything. He was going back and forth from cooking to bartending. It took forever to get our food and when it came, the deep fried mushrooms were burnt. The burgers were okay but the philly steak sandwich was so overcooked, it was actually crispy. After speaking with this friendly bartender, we found out why. They usually have a cook but this night there was no cook. The bartender tried his best at cooking. He apologized for the overcooked food and didn’t charge us for most of it. He even gave us complimentary drinks. We felt bad for him. I give him an A+ for his effort and customer service. I heard from the regulars at the bar that the burgers are usually delicious and very big. They only have bottled or canned beer here, nothing on tap. I guess these small towns do things differently.

Pete’s is pretty nice for a dive bar. I will say the beer selection is bad — I don’t think they had anything on tap or anything close to craft, but hey, it’s Randolph. The food, however, was good — and the bartender was doing the cooking. I think that a burger was about 7 bucks and was 12 ounces after cooking(~16 before)…legit. Fries were good, wings were good… and at 7 dollars for an enormous burger you can have keystone on tap for all I care.

On our way to chicago, we stopped over in this little town of Rundolph to grab some lunch. So glad we tried the barbecue chicken at Pete’s place — a tiny and unpretentious joint. They serve this on Thursdays and Sundays for lunch and we happened to be there at the right time! Half a barbecue chicken, two sides of mushrooms and baked beans and two drinks. All for just 13 dollars. the food was amazing. We heard that their burgers are delicious too.
