Great little place with a view of Rangeley Lake! We liked this place so much that we went 3 times while we were there. Loved the fish & chips! The fish was excellent, as was the tarter sauce(and I don’t usually like tarter sauce)!! The fries weren’t the best but, okay. Excellent peanut butter cream cheese pie.

Really wanted this place to be good. Great location in town and easy seating with lots of tables open. Our waitress was friendly. Unfortunately, service was very slow. Apps took 20 min and arrived just before dinner. Staff handled a meal error in a professional manner and were very nice. Over all food quality was just lacking. $ 18 for a «coconut chicken with Thai peanut sauce» earned the 2 start review. Over priced, four slivers of squash and a frozen-to-over twice baked. Not bad for a quick weeknight burger, better options around for a «vacation dinner»

We were camping down in Oquossoc. Decided to go bowling and have dinner in Rangeley. Stopped in this place after driving up and down the Main Street multiple times trying to decide where to go. Five of us sat outside on the deck, has a decent view of the lake across the parking lot. Inside is nice and clean. Service is a bit slow. I didn’t think they were super busy but did have one large party outside on the deck. We ordered the haddock chowder — very good!!! They also serve bread at the start of the meal to snack on. It was excellent, nice and warm too. Dinners ordered were– Chef salad, Cesar salad, Burrito and Burger. No complaints from anyone. I can’t remember the name of my dish, but it was garlic mashed potatoes, fried fish, spinach, bacon, Parmesan cheese and a sauce. It was really good! I would return again on my next trip up to the area.

The weather was perfect for a delicious lunch on their outside deck overlooking Rangley Lake. The waitress was very accommodating with some special food requests and service was quick. We’d definitely visit again.

Ive eaten here many times, always a good experience. The foods on point 99% of the time and the grateful dead, willy nelson, johnny cash on the radio is a great treat for diners in a town usually playing«twangy» country music.

We have eaten here twice, once in August 2013 and once in August 2014. Each time the service was SO slow it was beyond belief. After 2013 we vowed never to return the ultimately convinced ourselves it was a fluke and tried it again. It took about an hour to get 2 grilled cheese sandwiches, a kid’s ravioli dinner, a house salad, dinner salad, and burger. At about 40 minutes into the wait, the server said it would be 4 more minutes but he’d try to get the kids’ meals out ASAP, and it was another 20 before we got our meal. I should note it was also early, and not busy. It’s really a shame because the meal was pretty tasty when it finally arrived! But NEVERAGAIN!!!

I would never go here again. The food was decent(not great), but the waitress was RUDE. Ate here with my husband and 2 other couples on Saturday night. There were a few other large tables when we arrived, but we were able to get a table right away. The Good: the salad was fresh. I tried the Haddock Oscar – I’ve had better, but this was good. My husbands steak tips were great. The Bad: for starters, our waitress didn’t take our drink order for over 5 minutes – and then she got it wrong. Once our food was FINALLY delivered(which took a LONG time, in spite of a simple order), our waitress asked if we needed anything else – by that point our drinks were empty, so we asked for refills, which she begrudgingly brought over. Not ONCE did anyone check on us while we were eating. Once we were finished, we sat at the table for about 15 minutes before my husband finally got up and asked for our checks and a box. After about 10 minutes more, the check, which we had asked to be split into 3, arrived as one. We asked the waitress to split it up, as none of us carry cash, and she was very rude about it. After she had, we waited several more minutes before she came back to take our payment. The restaurant was not at all busy at this point, so it’s not as though she was busy with other tables. I have never had worse service in my entire life. The food was definitely not good enough for me to try this place a second time.

My husband and I ate at Parkside & Main Street in late October 2013 for dinner. Atmosphere was very nice and service was great. We had the artichoke dip to start which was great. My husband had a fish dish and I had a burger. Both were very good. The sweet potato fries were AMAZING. We would definitely go back.

No reservations, but no worries… tables galore and food to match! Food is wholesome, yet only average in quality, but generous in quantity. Very reasonable pricing, with most entrees around $ 18. Wines are only fair, so best to order your beer here. Desserts looked good, and the blueberry pie was excellent. Service one night was good, and the next night, by a different server it was awful… he neglected to clean or set the table for us upon seating, hardly removed any dishes during dinner, and forgot to tell us any of the specials!!!

We visited on July and sat with out kids on the back deck over looking the lake. Our waitress was knowledgable and attentive and very accommodating to our toddlers. Food was great. Buffalo wings could not have been more perfect, homemade bleu cheese dressing was amazing. We got burgers and a buffalo chicken sandwich. Both perfect. The food was simple menu choices but they were delicious. They will not disappoint you. I can’t wait to go back…

Ate here 2x during my recent stay in ME. The house-made burgers(and veggie burgers!) are the way to go! The diverse, hand selected array of drafts will satisfy any beer lover. I personally really enjoyed the German Kolsch they had on draft, but I also had to have an Allagash Black(we don’t see that on draft in RI). Service was exceptional on both occasions! I was actually shocked at how well one of the servers was able to remember so many details from so many orders without writing anything down– and he pulled it off flawlessly! Beautiful back porch patio overlooks the Rangeley lake. Couldn’t think of a better place to end a long day of fly-fishing or checking out the local shops.

I would like to retract my review, I thought I was reviewing«The Corner Side». As far as Parkside and Main, one of our favorites. Always good, great bar, 5 Stars

My favorite place to grab a burger & beer and watch a game in Rangeley. Bar is smaller but usually availible during the day, it can get full at night. Some of the better service you will find in Rangeley. Very good burgers, soups and chilli. They also have large meals and they give a good portion. Some of the best desserts in the area.

I’ve been coming to Rangeley for a LONG time and have eaten at many restaurants at this particular location. Parkside & Main is GOOD. We ate there last night after hiking Saddleback. Our hostess seated us right away and our waiter was excellent. He had served us last summer and was very good then too – a full 20% for him. They have a great collection of beer on tap and plenty of beverages for the kids. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer. These were really delicious. The kids had chicken fingers and haddock. Both were nicely prepared and presented. Plenty of options besides fries for the the kids’ sides. I had the salmon and my husband had the chicken marsala. Both were tasty. You can see Rangeley Lake from the dining room and eat out on the deck as well. If you have little kids they’ll give you a bucket full of little toys to keep them entertained. We’ll be back next summer for sure.

Checked out Parkside & Main while vacationing with my in-laws in Maine. I had the lobster roll and a cup of haddock chowder — which wasn’t haddock chowder, it was clam chowder, no haddock. Good thing I’m not allergic to shellfish. Still, it was delicious! The lobster roll was also very good — that covers the food. The greeting hostess/waitress was dry and had no personality. The service after that from her younger co-worker was painful. Long, long wait every step of the way: ordering, receiving soups, food, etc. Tables around us were being served prior to us and we got there first. Additionally, in spite of my asking three times, the waitress never brought me, or my mother in-law refills on our sodas. I had to go tot he bar and get it myself — twice. It was your typical, «can we get this, can we have that, can we order, can we get our check, can you pick up the check…» It was unfortunate, because the food was quite tasty. The owners would be disappointed to know that the service would keep me from going back.

We were passing through town looking for a place for lunch when we noticed this restaurant with a view of the water from the dining room picture windows. A bowl of chili and a burger were very good. Good service, pleasant surroundings without awful background music. :-) Small, quiet bar in the front of the building.
