Great place! I would love it if you kept playing a lot of baseball on TV! I also love the BOGO on Tuesday nights, but wish you had more specials. I think the atmosphere is best in town, hands down. There’s also free popcorn, which is awesome.

If you are going to just drink this is a good place, but if you are going for food they don’t make there own. We saw the ad in travel brochure decided to go. Stood at the front five minutes bartender looked at is twice never said anything, finally asked he told sit where ever. Waiter came over handed menu for beer had to look up food on phone. Funny part is waiter and bartender are having conversation about getting more business. Someone should give them hint start with customer service

I dont know how anyone could hate it. Its cozy and friendly. If you sit at the bar the staff will chat you up and make for a good night. The food comes from many of the restaurants around it which are all quite tasty and fast

We arrived on a Wednesday late afternoon. Not too many folks there. Really liked the atmosphere and beverage choices. No band as advertised. The problem was the service. There was none although two people were on staff. We played some board games and wanted to order some food and additional beers. Nothing. No check back when your beverage was one third remaining. Nothing. It also appears there is no kitchen there. You order and they pick up from vendors close by the pub. Disappointing overall. We may give them another shot but most likely not.

Came in two nights in a row on a recent trip to Rapid. Great selection of beers and a laid back chill atmosphere. Would have gotten a 4 star rating except the bartender wouldn’t honor the buy one get one free Unilocal check in offer.

The entrance is in the alley so if you’re looking for it on Main street, you’re not going to find it. Plenty beer on tap to choose from.

Great bar. When I went there they had a great band playing bluegrass. They were jamin! I went I for a single beer but stayed over an hour. Very nice staff. Cute blonde violinist and local artists. Would recommend this to anyone

Went just for some drinks because the crowd in our hotel bar(Alex Johnson) was way too loud and rowdy). Walked over here, less crowded, more beer selection. So the 8 of us in our group order and then imagine my shock when the server sat two beers in front of me, and when my friend next to me said, «We didn’t order the same beer» the server said, «Oh, no, all drafts are two for one.» This was at like 9 pm on a Friday night. Suddenly we had a tableful of beer we weren’t expecting. So the four stars is simply for the selection and the great bargain we ended up with. My friend ended up paying for both of ours and when he came back to the table, he said, «$ 10 for four beers? You gotta be kidding me.»

Excellent beer selection. They actually had two Flemish sours on tap when I went in and that’s an unusual thing to find anywhere. The food menu is very limited as they only offer a few British pub classics.

This bar has quickly become our favorite in Rapid! We come here every Tuesday night for the Buy one, get one Free beers. The wait staff is very friendly and they’ve got to know us by name and bring our beers out for us right when we get there because they know know exactly what we want. Colin is an awesome server, definitely recommend requesting him. In my opinion, best bar in Rapid.

Cool to find a British pub in South Dakota. Came in on our first day in town for a light lunch and some beers. We found a good amount of taps and my buddy and I were able to easily find something we liked. The menu looked good, but we decided to just grab a couple if apps. The Devils on Horseback were amazing. I’ve had them before but in NY it’s bacon wrapped prunes, here it’s dates. They were absolutely wonderful, salty and sweet. We also got the Scottish eggs, which are hard boiled eggs covered in sausage. Usually I’m not a hard boiled fan, but the sausage was so tasty it made the whole dish work. After the great apps, we needed to try the stew in the bread bowl. We each got an order and it was worth it. The stew had a good amount of meat and veggies, the bread was good. The place looks great. The bartender was very attentive and it is a place I will highly recommend to friends traveling out there.

UK-esque food, but it doesn’t quite hit the mark. The atmosphere is not remotely British. The service is horrible — some of the rudest staff I’ve ever encountered anywhere… of course if I had to dress like I was in a 90’s Britney Spears video, perhaps I’d be a little crabby as well. Just not worth going. It’s a nice location right off the square, and there’s better seating than the Independent Ale House(probably because no ones there & seating is ample though), but it’s worth the walk to go elsewhere: P

Nice ambiance, pretty bartenders. Service was okay. Some rotound guy with a buzz cut lurks in the kitchen doorway, kind of weird.

If you’re looking for the ambiance of a British pub, look no further! Just don’t expect to get British pub fare. Only finger foods on the menu despite what they might sound like. The Cheese Chowder is just a plate of cheese dip and chips.

My husband and I went to grab a bite and some beer one night and were disappointed. We ordered the Stew in a bread bowl. It was only luke warm and obviously reheated. The beer selection was sad. They may have many beers on tap but most of them are domestic. I don’t think a pub can even start to consider themselves British without a good Speckled Hen or proper English cider on tap. The service was also poor. It took forever for someone to come and take our beer order and refill after the first were gone. Needless to say we will not be going back.

With a front entrance tucked in an alleyway near the downtown parking lot, the Wobbly Bobby is easy to overlook if you’re just driving past. Once you walk down the Main Street Square, just keep an eye out for the two gargoyles atop the building, heralding the entrance. The interior of the pub is beautiful, with elaborate tile work and dark wood trim. The booths are high backed and deep, giving an intimate feel. The bar itself is amazing to behold, with two figurehead maidens adorning the elaborate carvings. I like to go to «the Wob» when there aren’t a lot of people around, which is usually weekends between 7 and 11. During the week and late nights, it’s a nice place to chill out, eat peanuts, and drink some cold beer. For that reason It’s always the last place I hit before winding up an evening downtown. There is a large selection of beer(48 taps, if i’m not mistaken), including some offerings from their big brother pub down the street, the Firehouse. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive, and if you’ve ever been to a Tilted Kilt, then their attire will look somewhat familiar. ALLERGYWARNING: They do offer peanuts in the shell to patrons, so if you have peanut allergies, you might want to sit on the patio.

I recently tried the Tampanade, Hummus and the hard boiled eggs wrapped in sausage. The Tampanade might have been made from scratch. Could have used some capers and garlic, but it was good. The chips were not homemade, just sort of blah. The hummus was good, and since it was red, I gather is had roasted red pepper in it. It might have been homemade, too. The eggs, which I was VERY dubious about, were wonderful. The ground sausage was well seasoned then wrapped around the egg, the whole perhaps baked(but not baked so long that is was dry). The curry sauce was wonderful and reminded me of an aioli. Delish! My only concern is that you only get TWO eggs for just about $ 8 When you consider an egg only costs them about 15 cents and only about 75 cents worth of sausage, I think you should get THREE or maybe even FOUR eggs in an order. Still, it was unique and tasty.
