The Silver Spoon Cafe

This place is actually pretty good! We went for Father’s Day. Now, first off, they were a little flustered. It was a holiday, they were busy, I get it. But they really didn’t do that great a job working with people. They need a bit of work with that, but the food makes up for it.
I got a really nice Reuben, great fries and great dressing. The atmosphere is pretty casual. Storefront diner usual.
Check the place out! I think you’ll be surprised.

I moved to the Ravena area a year ago. I’ve tried all of the fast food in the area and I have to say The Silver Spoon Café is THE BEST FOOD in Ravena. It is only open for breakfast and lunch but its always a good meal. They give decent portions for very little money and compared to the other food places in the area it is always the best. The only down side to the place is the staff should be dressed a little better to represent the establishment, it doesn’t bother me, but it may give some the wrong impression as I have seen in previous comments. As far as the food goes, there is nothing bad I can say at all. Its a small space but its always busy so they must be doing something right. Their cups of soup are actually bowls and they are always fresh and good, my daughters favorite is the Reuben, its actually one of the best Reuben’s I’ve ever had and I’m originally from Brooklyn, they make THE BEST breakfast sandwiches in the upstate area and believe me, I’ve been trying for years to find something comparable to a Brooklyn Deli style breakfast sandwich and on Friday’s they have fish fry, and its absolutely delicious. I could go on but you get the point. If you want a satisfying meal, that tastes good and is very cheap then this is the place.

I had visited this restaurant in the past and did not find it up to par.
I chose to revisit after hearing it had made improvements in both food quality and staff. During this visit I had breakfast as it was 6:30am. I chose the country breakfast, which is country gravy and biscuits with two eggs any style.
They cooked the eggs perfect and gave a good portion of both biscuits and gravy. The staff is a little standoffish and the heat evidently doesn’t work as it was colder inside then it should have been.
Much improved over my first visit.
