Not open — only catering now per the sign on the door. Looks nice from outside though!

We usually go here on a Sunday for a late breakfast. The best eggs benedict around. A very nice atmosphere and friendly service. Prices are in line with other area prices for the same quality food. We have never been here for dinner; but acquaintances that have been have told me the food is great.

This was our first visit to «Off the Avenue» and I’m sure we’ll go back again. It was my birthday and we had a gift card so we went there to celebrate. I started out with the crab toast. I don’t think I’d order that again. Kind of bland. But my hubby had the tomato bruchsetta and that was delish. I ordered the filet medalions and horse radish. I could cut them with a fork and they melted in my mouth. My hubby ordered the apple and raisin pork loin and he would have licked the plate but he was behaving himself. The service was great considering there was one waitress doing it all. There was a party of 15 and three other tables that she was attending. No complaints except for the coffee after dinner. It wasn’t the greatest plus it wasn’t hot. Other than that, we had a great time and a fantastic meal.

Over priced and underwhelming. The food was tasteless and uninspired. We ordered the baguette, tomato and portobello appetizer. It came out with one slice of bread and half of a portobello with four slices of unripe tomato and plastic tasting mozzarella. There was no oil, vinegar or seasonings. It was very disappointing. The snow peas tasted like they had been cooked in margarine. The veal marsala was undercooked so that the sauce tasted more like booze than marsala. We watched a waiter for 2 minutes as he tried to get a fly out of the dessert case. The fly landed several on desserts before he succeeded in getting the fly out. On a Friday night, there was only one server. This resulted in slow inaccurate service. We were accidently served someone else’s food and had to ask for water refills.
