The Good Bar

Love this place. The drinks are craft cocktails: tasty and still strong; decent selection of beers. Interior décor is nice, there’s a pool table in an adjoining room. Seating is somewhat limited but theres a patio as well which is super nice & has fire heaters.
There are events going on here daily every week (you don’t need to be a hotel guest) so check their website. Staff is always very kind.
The restaurant has good food which you can eat in the restaurant or order and eat in the bar; delicious but a bit pricey. I love the brussel sprouts and their flat iron (although it is small for the price).

Was invited here to celebrate with friends and the atmosphere was of course nice. The food, great presentation, brussel sprouts too salty though (cook probably smoking).
Drinks were great. service started out okay… but once it got a little busier it took forever to get our next round.
When we asked for our server we were told we could order at the bar. Not sure what that means… is the server gone… or too busy to serve us.
We had to order our drinks at the bar for our entire table… all the other tables were being tended and ours seem to be the only ones not getting attention.
As designated driver I was the only one with no alcohol to deal with this awkwardness. Beautiful place… not the best service for the price.

A table had been reserved in the bar. This is something that they don’t even do. It was reserved for 7:00. The party wasn’t there by 7:20. After voicing this to the manager of the bar/​restaurant, and the bartenders, I was told ‘There’s nothing I can do. It’s the chef’s fiancé’ and ‘You have to sleep with the chef to get a reserved table in the bar.’ After my complaint, the manager went to the group — they were in the restaurant — and they speedily came to claim the table. Every restaurant I’ve ever been to in the world has a 15 minute forfeiture period for reservations. This bar at the Goodland isn’t even supposed to accept reservations, yet they make an exception for the chef’s fiancé? Unfortunately for the Goodland, they’ve lost my business, people I know, and any and all customers or vendors that I deal with on a daily basis. No apology from management and no effort to remedy the situation. Just a response of, ‘There’s nothing I can do.’ Not good business practice by any means. Truly abhorrent.

Goodbar is an awesome Thursday hang out!!! Music on the patio, awesome food. Korean wings are great! Ask Jacob to make a creat cocktail: «Blantons On the Rock». Best I have had. I will be back soon!
Food and drink is the best but the staff is what keeps me coming back…

Very cute décor. The drink I ordered was particularly delicious– Weapon of Choice– highly recommend. What I don’t recommend is any interaction with the bartender. She was serving us last Saturday night– talk about ice queen. No greeting, blank stare the entire time she served us. Learn some respect and how to be pleasant– especially if you’re going to be a bartender.

Awesome ambience, the olives are delish, yummy cocktails! The staff was very friendly and the outside patio is very inviting!

Ever since my first time, always greeted by enthusiasm and excellence by the people who work there. The cocktails are like a science fair in heaven!

This bar is great! It has a laid back chill vibe and even has a pool table! my favorite bar game. The drunks are reasonably priced and nicely strong. I love the fact that it’s attached to the hotel which makes it very convenient to stumble back to your room if you get a little too tipsy.

We came here for our date night & had an excellent time! We went to the bar/​lounge area which has a cool inviting décor & outdoor patio. The drinks were impressive! Well balanced & creative. The food was so good! We had the duck tacos, ceviche & the little dumpling sandwiches (Boa I think is the name) The service was excellent. The bartender Chris was very friendly & knew a lot about cocktails! Will be back here again for sure!

Nice little place with good brands. Delicious appetizers. Live music. The Portlandia ship ran aground here. Surfboards and beards. Sweet!
