First time there. Eating a chicken crisp now… definitely going back. Awesome food, friendly staff and a nice updated dining area(flat screen TV and menus) awesome place!

As a new Unilocal user I thought it would be best to review my favorite place. Hansel ‘n griddle has the best food and variety around. my favorite thing is the spinach and chicken crisp! It has grilled chicken, onions, spinach, Swiss cheese, and garlic herb mayo. it comes like a quesadilla(which are crisps in hansel world) and has a side of their homemade balsamic for dipping. they also have awesome smoothies(my favorite is the banana flip)! everything comes out fresh and pretty fast. They deliver to my house in Middletown too which is awesome ! once they catered a party for my parents to and it was really good.

We’ve been ordering take out from Hansel and Griddle for a few months now and for a quick cheap place, they at very solid. It is nice that you can order online and that they deliver as long as you spend $ 8. This lets you get a lunch or breakfast for yourself without adding on things to get to the typical $ 10 minimum. For breakfast, the banana chocolate chip pancakes are divine. The eggs suck and we won’t order them. Have tried the regular breakfast platter and the wraps. Majorly overcooked and gross. The crisps are really tasty and huge(their version of a quesadilla), we also like their burgers. Will stay in our rotation. Good addition to town.

Credit is due when it’s deserved and this place is hands down not only a good value but good place in general. I had and Angus burger with tater tots, the place wasn’t busy so I didn’t assume the food would take long however it came sooner than I thought! Hot and fresh !! This place truly has 100% Angus beef. Don’t waste your time looking around for a god meal here. Red bank does have a variety of places but this is the easiest. They also have a selection of some cool drinks and smoothies. You won’t be disappointed here!

My son had the pancakes which where 3 large ones and he ate them all to our surprise. My wife had the breakfast crisp which had a nice spice to the potatoes and she liked it. I had the scrambled eggs… It was ok. My youngest had the burger and fries and was the only one to not finish — hence why the 4 stars

This place has pretty good simple food. The open early so it’s a great place to grab breakfast. I usually get an omelette for around four or five dollars and it comes with tater tots which is a great price for redbank. Every other place that is open for breakfast is much more expensive. You can make your own omelette too! The food is really basic and kind of plain which is why I gave it three stars. There is nothing really special about this place but it’s good if your trying to be a little healthy or if your in a rush.

Food was decent enough but the service was super slow and didnt really care for your presence if you catch my drift. Would not revisit if in the area.

Cheap prices for the sheer amount of food you get. We got the steak quesadillas(although they had a specialty name for them I don’t remember). Totally, completely, bland. It was like they put no spices in it what’s so ever. Will say, there was no reason to order two separate plates for two people. We could have shared the one. You do get A LOT. The woman next to me raved about the tater tots, so we got them, sans cheese(although maybe had we added the cheese it would have been better. We figured with the quesadilla it would be enough stuff with cheese on it). My mother liked the tater tots, I didn’t taste anything particularly amazing about them. Tasted to me like the same one’s I could fry from my grocery store.

My family and I love this place! We go for a casual dinner & it doesn’t break the bank. Good food, freshly made and they have free pickles which we all love. Owners and staff are really friendly and nice & clearly care about their customers! I also own a business around the block and often order breakfast or lunch for delivery. It’ been good every time.

Wow — this little place absolutely rocks! While traveling to Red Bank on business, I simply was not in the mood for a complicated sitdown dinner. Fellow Unilocalsters– thanks for helping me find this place! The counter service folks were very friendly, restaurant was quite clean with plenty of seating, and what an extensive menu! After being somewhat overwhelmed by the sheer array of menu choices, I chose the steak crisp(their version of a quesadilla). It was significantly larger than a normal quesadilla and filled with lots of goodies. I love their choices of sides — tater tots captured my interest! The prices at this establishment are ridiculously low. This dinner combo with a large soda cost me 10 bucks out the door. Dropped them at two dollar tip in the jar for good service and out I went, a happy man, guaranteed to return for a future visit someday. Best of luck to continued success for this restaurant; they deserve every ounce of it! P. S.: please open another location in Northern NJ close to Roseland!

Tasty, cheap, wide selection. Can’t go wrong! Hansel n Griddle is a locally run business originally based out of Rutgers. From there, the place has launched into a 3 restaurant chain that looks to me to be really successful. So you’re eating local and supporting local. The inside is always clean, and I’ve tried 5 things on a menu of close to 50 items and they were all delicious, hot and fresh. Sometimes the only complaint I have is that the portions are too big for one sitting! You’ve got quesadillas, burgers, paninis, salads, wraps, smoothies, the works. I’ve had one of each from these groups and they were always worth what I paid(Usually less than 10 $ per item) I took one star off because there is usually zero parking in the area and a few times have been tempted to go elsewhere because the walk was a little tough in the winter. Seriously, you cannot beat the price for this quality.

Ahhh, where do I start. I’m a H&G enthusiast who attended Rutgers. Love everything from all their locations up north. Glad they trickled down to RB because the quality and taste of the food is the best and transferred to this location as well. Can’t go wrong with: Buffalo Chicken Crisp Coco Crisp Lumberjack Horseradish Roastbeef Wrap(a special but PLEASE make this a regular menu item H&G. This is is top 3 sandwiches for me beside Brennan’s #11 and #5 from Elsie’s) Wedges(with or with cheese, or Buffalo Style) Smoothies(Banana Flip or Oreo Covered Strawberries) Always pick up or eat in so can’t speak about delivery. Keep doing what you’re doing Hansel n Griddle!

Food is always prepared fresh and quick. The prices compared to most places in Red Bank are great. The buffalo chicken crisp is a once a week lunch order. Their smoothies are great and they are open late on weekends. O yeah they deliver too.

Okay so we just went here for breakfast and omggggg I got the breakfast crisp which is totally out of this world! I’m on weight watchers and they were totally great about substitutions and using egg whites and lite On the cheese and omg it came out perfect exactly how I wanted it! My husband got the lumber jack and he really enjoyed it too Extremely affordable especially for the red bank area! Their coffee is also out it this world which you would never think right? I wish we lived closer!

I cannot begin to explain how excited I was when I saw that they were opening a Hansel in Red Bank! I loved it when I was at Rutgers and their new location does not disappoint. Their daily specials are fantastic, as is their all day breakfast, wraps, and sides.(The smoothies are awesome too!) Prices are very reasonable and the food is always ready quickly(if they say it will be done in 10 minutes, they actually mean it.) Staff is always friendly and smiling!

This place is the sickest! Fell in love with it at Rutgers and then broke my heart when I had to leave New Brunswick. Luckily, they just opened up! Unbelievable place! Highly suggest the buffalo chicken crisp with cheese and bacon wedges Promise you won’t regret it!
