My wife and I usually go to the Belmar location, but Red Bank is closer and way less Bennie Guido steroid freaks. The waitress was cool, food was great, and overall really good. My only gripe was that they ran out of Pacifico beer. Will def go here from now on…

Nice view of the water if you sit towards the back in the main dining room. Friendly wait staff. The guacamole was very good, better than most Mexican restaurants we have been to. Though, disappointed by the chips, we didn’t care for the taste and they were very brittle, letting us not dip it into the guacamole. Rest of the food was great. Chicken Tacos, Grilled Chicken Burrito, southwestern Burrito, Chicken Tortilla Soup.

I’m not sure what quite happened when they opened this place, but it has nothing on the Belmar location. The service is just poor and the vibe is way off. It’s more hipster meets«Jersey Shore». Could be the Urban Outfitters across the street… I’ll stick with Belmar.

Came here for drinks and dinner with friends. Chips and guac were delicious and highly recommended! So was my quesadilla! Definitely would come back here again to try something different, However the prices were a little high when there is a surf taco right down the street.

Sat at the bar because there was a wait for a table. Bar tender was was really friendly. Got the steak burrito which was just ok. Had some of a chicken burrito which was not good. The chicken was very bland. The rice in the burrito was undercooked and overall the burrito need to be smothered in salsa.

Noise just echoes off the hard walls and ceiling raising the decibel levels that much more. Great views of the Navesink River. Family & kid friendly for dinner, It gets funkier later in the evening with live music. Food is ok, not great. Red Bank prices. Big selection of drinks and tequilas. If u stick to the tacos and burritos you’ll be satisfied, knock back a marguerite or 2 and enjoy the view. 2 bars, it’s a popular place.

Great place with a great view! The pineapple salsa is delicious! I’m a vegetarian so I ended up getting the cheese enchiladas and it comes with a delicious corn/tomatoe/jalapeño dish!

Just ok! No kids menu was a bad starting point, food was mediocre and service was decent. We started with the pineapple habanero wings, I thought they would be better but lacked flavor and heat. For dinner I had the chicken enchiladas, rather dry for my liking. Beers were $ 5 a bottle and shot of tequila was $ 9. Wife had the skirt steak which she liked, but a small glass of sangria was $ 8 and was watered down. With better authenticated Mexican places in town, I will not be back here.

I stumbled across this place accidentally when me and my girlfriend were visiting Red Bank. From the outside looking in, it looks like a dingy burrito place with a bar. We walked in and to our surprise this places goes back deep. It wasn’t dingy at all, the atmosphere was pretty interesting and hip. The layout in the back had a back bar, benches, half booth tables with an entire stage window that overlooks the water. From a atmospheric perspective, think Brickhouse meets surf taco and fused it’s own baby. The service was spot on, we had a waitress named ‘Kerry’, and she was absolutely perfect. Attentive without pestering, offered insight on each menu option and gave her own thoughtful recommendations. Some servers just agree with you on ‘oh that’s a great seller here’ just to get you to shut up and order… But not here. Kerry literally was able to describe each dish when I kept annoyingly asking here because I couldn’t make up my mind. I’d like to think me and my girlfriend got special treatment from here… But we didn’t. She was on top of all here tables quickly helping people… It’s good to see servers that care. Looking around, I see all servers very attentive. Seems like they take alot of pride in what they do. As for the food, we had the wings, which were very crispy and delicious. A burrito(chicken mole), it was very flavorful without being overkill. Some burritos are so stuffed you never get a consistent flavor but this burrito got portion and flavor right. I ordered the tequila shrimp dish over rice. The flavor in this dish was superb. I feel like if this was on DDD, guy fieri would be saying something so corny about that dish coming from ‘flavor town’. I read some of the negative reviews here, and I don’t quite understand. Between the excellent service, great menu selection, awesome atmosphere and perfect execution of food… I really do love this place. Check it out

My boyfriend and I had immaculate service when we came here on a Saturday night. It wasn’t busy but filled up fast. Our waitress was phenomenal. She was attentive and gave great suggestions. She knew the menu inside and out. She really enhanced our experience at 10th Avenue Burrito. I was really craving a burrito when my boyfriend and I were in Red Bank. We walked around and came across this place. My boyfriend said, «Well, if you want burritos, you can’t get more burrito than this!» So we went in. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was spacey yet intimate. We had the wings for an appetizer. It was a bit too fried for my liking but it was nonetheless it was really yummy. I had the chicken mole burrito(of course) and my boyfriend had the tequila shrimp with rice. We were both very satisfied with our dishes. They also had a garage window which opens up to the water view. During the summer it would be such an amazing place to dine in the summer and we would definite come back.

I have gone to the Belmar location for a long time. I live near red bank and was so excited when this opened! I was sadly mistaken. The service here is terrible. The hostess girls are the rudest people ever. They are horrible. The food is tasteless. You know it’s sad when you would rather be at Surf Taco. Belmar for life.

Just as good as Belmar, if not better. I’ve been twice now, once for dinner with a beautiful view overlooking the Navesink River, and once to see a band play. Had a great time both times. For dinner, I can’t not get the wings. Love ‘em. And then a huge burrito. We also shared the muscles as an appetizer, and they were delicious. I would recommend. They’ve got a great selection of Beers. My friend spoke highly of the jalapeño margarita(had three of them, they were soo good). The service has been above average both times. And you can’t beat the atmosphere. My new fave in Red Bank.

The food here was really good however the staff still needs some work. It seemed like our waitress forgot about our drinks and then brought out the wrong order. It took so long for the right order to come out that my boyfriend ate half his meal without me. When we did finally get all our food it was delicious and so we’re the drinks. They have an awesome selection of tequila too!

It was okay. Negatives: sodas were flat, chips were shitty, enchiladas were small Positives: salsa + guac, helpful service(maybe too helpful, my mom asked what flavors of Mexican sodas they had and she started explaining what a soda is), tasty entrees. 3⁄5 from me.

Went here last night, and was super excited about this place opening up in Red Bank! I left super disappointing and with an upset stomach to boot! We ordered drinks, which were fine, I would probably come back again for the bar, but I’m staying FARAWAY from the food! The rice and beans that came with my tacos were horrendous! Bland, rock-hard cold rice that I couldn’t touch for fear of breaking a tooth, and soggy beans that looked like they had been sitting around all day. My taco was extremely basic, the«Dirty Hippie» which was veggies and tofu, but it was DRIPPING with grease! I don’t understand what method they used to cook it in order to produce so much grease, but it was all over my plate and hands and was not at all appetizing. The guacamole was good! At least there’s that!

I love the one in Belmar, so when it was time to try this one out, I was more than excited. Thankfully, the venue has been updated and I love the layout. There is a front bar with limited taps and a back bar with a much better selection. If you are a craft beer guy like I am, you might be slightly disappointed. Other than an offering here or there from breweries like Carton and Victory, it’s mostly no-frills pilsners and lagers. They do have an entire wall of tequilas and it looked like they have flights of tequila, but that’s definitely not my style. Now about my experience: I don’t know if there aren’t enough waiters or cook staff, but I walked in to a 25 minute wait for a table for 2. Normally, I would expect this from a new restaurant, but when we were walking to the back bar, we noticed quite a few empty tables for 2. I don’t mind a wait, but I’m guessing there wasn’t enough staff to accommodate all of the tables. While we waited, we ordered two beers and fortunately, a few people vacated the back bar area. We decided to just sit there and that was pretty much a mistake. If you plan to eat there, get a table. If you plan to drink, sit at the bar. Don’t try ordering food while you are at the bar. It’s a mess. Our chips with salsa came out immediately, but the couple next to us weren’t so lucky. They too had ordered food and their chips came out AFTER their main courses. Now, we ordered burritos and to be honest, I wasn’t impressed at all. I’ve probably had similar at Surf Taco. I will admit that at 10th Ave in Belmar, I always ordered the entrees so having the burritos were a first, and also a last. Next time, in a somewhat distant future when I can get seated, I’ll try an entrée. My experience was even further soured by the fact that our food took over 40 minutes to fulfill… for burritos. The miracle of the night happened when the bartender asked the bar manager for our order and as if I was attending a magic show, food suddenly appeared. Not a great start in my eyes, but I know I will be back and will give it another shot. It’s new and it’s working out a few kinks. I’ll give it some time though but for now, the disorganized mess and the very unimpressive burrito give this place three stars.

My only issue with 10th Ave is that it stands at the former epicenter of Red Bank d-baggery known as Fixx. Fixx was nice because it contained all the d-bags so that regular people could enjoy the other spots in town. I’m not sure Brannigans has the capacity to accommodate them all, so they’ll probably be making there way into Downtown, Robinson’s, Jamians etc. But I digress. I’ve been waiting(praying) for the day 10th Ave opened in Red Bank. I used to frequent the spot in Belmar when it was still on 10th Ave. They’ve come a long way since the hole-in-the-wall with a handful of employees and a few second-hand tables, partly because Guy Fieri decided to stick his neon head in, and partly because the food is fantastic and the quality has never taken a hit. My old favorite is just a basic chicken quesadilla and chips with the hot salsa. There’s plenty on the menu to explore. Personally, I think the tacos and burritos are good, but the rest of the menu is where 10th Ave shines. When you go out on a limb and order something like a Mexican hamburger(I’ve had it once, not sure if it’s still on the menu, but I’ve never forgotten it), you’ll come away very impressed. They’ve also got two bars and a great view of the waterfront. Keep in mind that this location just opened, so you’ve got new employees, a new buildings, etc. It seemed like they hit their stride just fine at last night’s(soft) opening, but they’ll probably need a bit of time to run on all cylinders. I’ll edit when I go back, which may just be today.
