Milagro Spa At the Atlantic Club

I am a regular at this spa. I have deep tissue massage and feel able to face the week with much better mobility and flexibility. My regular masseuse is Michelle. She specializes in clinical issues requiring massage and has the perfect generous and kindly empathetic personality.

I have to say my «person» who worked on me deserves five stars but this review is for the facility itself. I used to go to another salon and my girl left. Seeing as I moved, I decided to find a place similar closer to home. I tried this place for my friends wedding (I’m in it). I got there and the woman I was originally scheduled to be with told me she couldn’t do nail art (it wasn’t, it was a side French I later came to learn).
It became a whole thing but the manager was AWESOME and picked up in the lack the compatibility between me and that manicurist and switched me to a different one
Tracy was AWESOME. I mean hands down cool and the best manicure and pedicure I’ve ever had. The lines are perfect. My feet are looking really good. And again; the paint is perfect. I would recommend requesting Tracy if you go — she knows her s*^t.

I like this place. I’ve been coming here for quite a while, and I’ve gotten a variety of services.
FACIALS: I’ve gotten Hydra and the Signature. Hydra is expensive, but worth it for special occasions. The Signature is also very good. It’s relaxing, and I feel like the estheticians touch all of the bases when providing both services. I find that A LOT of upselling goes on when you get a facial. I’m clearly here for a 50 minute signature facial, I don’t want a Hydra, especially because it’s double the price. Overall, the upselling that occurs here is the worst part of coming– I literally dread it. Because both locations are in nice areas, I feel that some of the staff assumes that all clients have money to burn, and that’s not the case. To be fair, there are estheticians who do not do this at all, and ones who do it non-​stop. I prefer a less pushy esthetician, and that’s going to start being reflected in my tip. Let me enjoy my service in peace.
MASSAGE: Only gotten a massage here once, but no complaints. I didn’t come out with bruises, and they didn’t try to upsell me on anything.
MANI/​PEDI: Solid, old-​school services. The ladies love to chat you up and schmooze!

I love this spa. Mostly friendly staff, and Michelle has the magic touch. I’ve left extremely relaxed and pleased both visits here and will certainly be back. The cucumber water and lounge chairs afterwards truly complete the visit.

This spa has the loveliest staff. Services are excellent, all staff are very professional, they use the best products. They are extremely accommodating and always so warm and welcoming. Especially convenient if you work out at The Atlantic Club downstairs.

I love Milagro and have been coming here for 10+ years. Danielle is the absolute best for haircuts and updos! I also go to Nicolette for eye brow tweezing. Since the spa is expensive, I don’t use the other services that often. When I have been in for a mani/​pedi or a massage, it’s always been top notch. It’s a beautiful facility, and I love coming here for a treat! I am picky about my massages, and I’ve always had very good sport/​deep tissue massages.

I was given a full body massage as a gift and this was VERY GENEROUS because this place is super expensive and very frou-​frou. The gift-​giver wanted to pamper me, and indeed I was pampered when I went there. They give you sandals and a fluffy robe, and the facility is lovely, but I just found it to be a lot of fluff and not much substance when it got to what I came for. I have chronic neck/​shoulder pain and I asked the masseuse to concentrate on that. But she didn’t — it seemed it was just part of a regular whole body massage. The massage therapist was pleasant and friendly, but it was pretty much the most mediocre massage I think I’ve ever had. My 14 daughter actually does a better job for me. I wouldn’t recommend the place for massage, maybe facials or nails — but you can get better massages almost anywhere. And it’s very over-​priced, to boot.

Today’s experience at Milagro was not terrific. I made a last minute hair appointment and took the «designer» who was available even though I’ve had her before with just okay results. I saw her in the break room when I arrived on time for my appointment. Ten minutes later she walked me to the shampoo girl. She tried to coerce me into a much shorter cut than I wanted. I demonstrated the length I wanted with the sides longer than the back. The cut came out looking like a bowl was used as a guide. She spent at most 10 minutes on the cut and 5 minutes on the style. I left $ 69 plus tip poorer and looking like the Dutch Boy Paint logo. To me that’s a lot of money for lazy, inattentive service. Hope it grows fast!

Have had a total of 7 deep tissue massages at Milagro. Of the 7 I would say 5 were actually deep tissue depending on the masseuse. Also if you schedule a 50 minute expect it to be in the neighborhood of 40 — 45 minutes. I go because I can use the childcare for the gym otherwise I wouldn’t waste a minute here!

I’ve never been here before & was using a gift card from my hubby. Made a same day appointment for a much-​needed facial. Amy was my facial use. She started with a short massage which was an amazing surprise! The facial was great and my skin looks gorgeous and refreshed. I’ll definitely be back.
The only negative was the changing room is way to small.

My sister and I had the best impromptu visit on a Saturday and alexia (spelling) helped me in the best way to get our appointments sync’d .
We had Rosalie for nice nails, Chelsea for the best facial ever and Christine for a great massage…
Then we decided to get out hair done by Dana and Bridgette .our first time seeing these ladies –it was awesome .
i had a gloss put on by Bridgette and it was the perfect way to enhance my face and a much needed trim.
We had a great day. And it was all bc of the people at the

I have been going to this lovely spa for many years and I have been extremely satisfied with their services including manicure, pedicure, facial, massage. The staff are very professional but my favorites are Donna and Tracy. It is always a pleasant and relaxing experience.

I recently came here for my bachelorette party that was setup with Christine at the other Milagro Spa in Manasquan. Let me just say from the start that the communication between the two spas is not good. We were told from Christine that we’d have our own private room to bring food and drinks to and hang out in. Once we arrived at Milagro in Red Bank, we were told that wasn’t the case. Instead, a small table in the middle of the spa surrounded by everyone going into the spa and into the gym area was «reserved» for us. What?! When I told the woman at the desk that Christine specifically told us we’d have our own room, she gave us a room where yoga clases were held, and setup a table for us. That was nice of her, but that’s not what we were told. The whole processes of checking in was now delayed because of this, and as a result we were late to our massages and lost time off of our services. The spa itself is nice and clean, and all my girls didn’t have a complaint about it. The only thing that peeved me and upset me is that Christine fed us false information. The woman at the front desk was so nice and tried to resolve our situation quickly. Thank god they didn’t have any other yoga classes scheduled for that day, otherwise I’d have 8 girls holding food and drinks with nowhere to put them. If I could I’d give Milagro 2 stars just based on this, but this isn’t this spa’s fault for the miscommunication since we had to book through Christine at the one in Manasquan. And, I can verify that at least three of my girls who contacted Christine about my bachelorette party heard the same exact thing from her, that we’d get our own private room for our own little party. But whatever. At least the staff at Red Bank got in under control and helped us out the best they could, which I appreciated. Maybe Christine should visit this spa and realize that they don’t offer private rooms for private parties.

The woman at the front desk was so rude that it made my whole facial experience go down the drain. Totally not worth it and will never come back. She is an older lady and didn’t even make eye contact with me when I first checked in and checked out. It seems like she Just had a scowl on her face the whole day.

Wow, I came here with a bridal party and what a disappointment! My hairdresser– Sharon– was rude and barely spoke to me. She made me feel very uncomfortable, on a day that should have felt special. Unfortunately most of the other bridesmaids echoed the same complaints. An hour later I had limp curls, for $ 115 (which included the tip, automatic 20%). I usually go to Depasquale in Morris Plains– what a difference. Thankfully, two of the girls in the bridal party were talented with hair and fixed all of our styles later! Would highly NOT recommend :-(

Scheduled a last minute appointment for a Brazilian wax, seeing as I was down in NJ for the long weekend. I usually try several other places first (European Wax Center, Blue Mercury, Skin & Bones), but their available appointment times weren’t going to work for me… so I ended up at Milagro. Bad move.
The service only deserves one star. I added a second star because the spa has always had a nice ambiance and the beds are comfortable.
My appointment lasted about 12 minutes. Yes, 12. For a Brazilian. She stayed in the room the whole time while I changed, which I honestly don’t mind but this is not standard at other waxing places and makes the entire service feel rushed. There was absolutely NO attention to detail; clearly she must not have had any time for it… They only use soft wax and it was very messy and spots were missed. NO tweezers were used at the end to get what she missed. Also, she did not prep with baby powder, and afterwards there was no baby oil or hydro-​cortisone cream to help the redness, just some hand lotion! It had to be one of my worst waxing experiences ever, but I guess you could say it was on par with the cheap-​y NYC hole-​in-​the-​wall joints that you can go to for some ridiculously low Groupon price…
But now get this — Milagro charges $ 100!!! One hundred dollars. I’ve never even seen ANYONE charge this price before in my 8 or so years of waxing (at a wide variety of spas across multiple states). NOTE: the prices are NOT advertised on their website either!
I was not aware of this price until after the service was performed. Yes, I could have asked in advance, but is it not reasonable for me to have expected something around maybe $ 75 at the max??? Comparable spas like Exhale charge $ 80, but Milagro isn’t even in the city! Completely Bare, a place that uses both hard and soft wax, charges around $ 80 but the SERVICE ISN’T EVEN IN THE SAME BALL PARK as they take the time to make sure the client is satisfied with services performed. $ 100 for only soft wax is completely unacceptable. And then add in the 20% tip… I paid in full, but only after picking my jaw up off the floor. Will never go back for any kind of waxing again.

I usually don’t like to write negative reviews but I just feel I have too. I received makeup services here and was completely dissatisfied. First off, I am not a huge fan of bare minerals/​escentuals. It’s powder every thing and it doesn’t look good. I didn’t know that going in, so my bad.
Besides that, I am paying around 65 dollars plus tip (and I am a generous tipper) so I expect to AT LEAST sit in the chair for more than 30 minutes. Guess how long I sat in the chair? 15 – 20 minutes, 20 minutes if I’m being nice… which I’m not. She honestly made me look like a clown and it made it seem like she had no clue what she was doing. She made my eyes bright purple like I was going to a bad 80s prom. I specified I like lighter lipstick, she slaps dark plum on me. I just didn’t get it. (And when I went home I still didn’t get it so I wiped every thing off and was my own makeup artist)
I am a girl who is very into her makeup and even doing my makeup, I take probably 45 minutes on a night out. What she did made me look bad, she didn’t take her time and quite frankly she had no idea what she was doing. So needless, to say you probably shouldn’t go there for makeup services. 1 star seemed ruthless, so there… have 2 stars.

REVIEWING MASSAGE SERVICES ONLY
Milagro Spa is definitely my first-​choice in the area for a massage. I tend to go with the classic Swedish though they do have a very comprehensive menu of massage options. If you are not sure what you want or need you can ask the representative on the phone, they are happy to talk you through the menu and suggest the right massage for you.
I have been with several massage therapists and have found 2 notable favorites. All of the therapists are good but I like those who know how to understand and listen to what I’m requesting vis-​a-​vi my «problem areas,» and then execute accordingly. So, while I have never had a BAD therapist, I have certainly had those I prefer. That is the reason I have deducted one star, because for the same service their tends to be a slight lack of consistency across therapists.
Though I should I do not get weekly or biweekly massages. When I go it is a real treat and I want to feel relaxed and pampered. The spa setting where the massages take place is pristine. The temperature is always perfect the music always at the perfect volume. The refreshment bar is clean and stocked. The place smells fresh and clean and the bathroom, stocked with complimentary beauty supplies to sample, is cleaner than mine at home.
After the massage you are escorted to a chaise where water is waiting for you. They tuck you in with the softest blanket. You can stay as long as you like and watch the large salt water fish bowl in front of you. One thing that kind of annoyed me last time, I like to go at the end of the day so when I’m relaxing after my massage the girls are getting ready to leave so there is a bit of hustle and bustle as they clean and chatter. I can understand after a long day they want to get out quick but I do think they should behave as though the place is open until the last client leaves. I will consider going a bit earlier in the future.
You would think Milagro Spa would be overpriced but truly I find their massage packages to be extremely competitive. I would not sacrifice the quality and experience at Milagro to save $ 10 and maybe that is what you’d be looking at if you went somewhere else. I’ve taken advantage of some of their promotions too which are great. Look for them around the holidays and buy for yourself and save.
So, highly recommended. Have yet to find a better massage in the area!

I’ve been here only a handful of times for a «girl’s day» and have enjoyed every massage I’ve had. Today, I had the classic massage with Amy and she was an absolute dream. She asked me what needed work and then set about to do it without the chatter, and it was so relaxing. It was so great that I decided to buy their package.
I totally recommend to everyone.
