While Unilocal and the website say open until 11 pm on Fridays they actually close at 10:00 pm. At least 15 people rolled up as we paused there.

Nice location, easy to park… Plenty of seats available Do they have the best ice cream and ices? Probably not but they were refreshing, reasonably priced and the portions are huge The kids cone is more than enough for most folks I sampled a few of their ices but elected to go with a small twist soft serve ice cream. Very good mix. Definitely will hit this location again when I am in red bank.

I work down the street at the Galleria and go once a week for the soft ice cream special flavor. Really good, dense soft serve. A small cup is an ample serving. So far, I’ve had strawberry, coconut and cheesecake. Coconut was by far the best. I went twice that week. I’m a coconut lover, but everyone there seemed to be ordering it and loving it. The cheesecake tasted more like vanilla cake batter, but still good. I look forward to finding out what the next week’s flavor will be. I’ve also had the Italian ice before and remember it being good and liking the soft serve texture of it. There’s always a special flavor of the week for that too, but haven’t been following it, I’m an ice cream girl. I love that the place is situated right by the bridge with traffic all around and that it’s just a walk up window. Being there brings back memories of my own days working summers at the old RJ’s in Belford on Route 36.

Ices are good, ice cream isn’t good at all. So if you go there do not get ice cream. Unless you like watered down and tasteless ice cream. Nice spot, good parking area, two tables outside to sit.

There was nothing not to love about Lighthouse Italian Ice. We had just finished a giant pasta filled dinner but once we drove passed the little hut-like shop we reversed right away to get back to the parking lot. That night we got the cherry and lemon flavored ices. After paying and almost walking away we noticed four more flavors. And I shouted«oh man there are more flavors I didn’t see» with disappointment, and the hope he wouldn’t be mad that I did not notice one of his favorites, coconut. The girl who helped me nicely asked if there was a flavor I would like to add on like this either happened all the time, or there was no problem. The customer service really left an imprint on me. It is apparent that they are community oriented and treat every customer like a regular. On top of that the ice flavors were delicious and refreshing; the cherry was sweet with just enough tart, and the lemon was tangy and adult with a little bitterness.

Best Italian Ice, and the best Strollo’s Lighthouse location. Unique and traditional flavors are all delicious. Pistachio, peanut butter, watermelon– all YUMMY!!! Fast and friendly service. Great location in Red Bank. This is a MUST every time we visit New Jersey!
