Some of the best service around. The staff is amazing you can always count on seeing the same people when you go. Food is absolutely amazing.

I ordered the night’s special: Burrito al Carbona with chicken. I made a mistake. I violated one of my first rules of eating out. «Never order the special.» I think it was a out $ 12 or $ 13. It was stuffed with rice and beans… and very little chicken. I’ll never eat here again.

First of all I chose this place cause friends recommend it. I am from outta town. I walk in and stand there waiting for the hostess to come… Nothing … A party of 3 come in and she walks directly up to them to go seat them while I’m standing there I look at her and she doesn’t say a word. Didn’t even asked if I was helped… She seats the party of 3 then comes back to me and says can I help you? I tell her I’d like to place the order to go she just gives me this look as if I bothered her. I order my food, gave her the money to pay for my food. she places the change on the counter. Not in my hand. Doesn’t even say nothing. She just walks away. Terrible service. I will never go there again. If I thought about it I should have just left and not ordered anything.

Not really my favorite place for Mexican food in the area. This is your run of the mill Tex-Mex chain restaurant. The food is just average and tends to be over priced. The service is always prompt and adequate. There are many other much more authentic places to enjoy in the area.

I have eaten here quite a bit and it has gone downhill since it first opened. It used to be my favorIte restaurant. I ordered a combination plate that included a chimichanga. When I cut into it it was oozing grease, maybe the oil wasn’t hot enough. Took a bite and the grease was rancid. I hate complaining but I couldn’t eat it and wasn’t willing to spend 15 dollars on something I’m not eating. When I told the waitress my chimichanga was greasy she tried to tell me that’s how they are supposed to be. At this point I’m irritated, I’m a waitress and have a lot of patience for long waits and other situations that arise, but telling me that that was normal was bullshit. So I picked up the chimichanga with my hand and literally, a half cup of grease leaks onto the plate. Still no response. I tell her it’s rancid and then she finally asks if I would like it remade. At that point I’ve lost my appetite and so I tell her no. She does not comp my meal yet I have eaten nothing or even offered to reduce it to a percentage. I won’t ever come back. Went to taco bell after and it beat the he’ll out of that place.

Came to visit a friend and stopped here because it was close to the hotel. Was very happy we did. The restaurant was clean. Really nice and friendly service. The food was delicious. The salsa was great and the chips warm. I had the chicken la crem. It was really good. Will come again next time in town

When we’re in Red Bluff we eat here at least twice a week. The food, service and atmosphere are always the best possible. They remember your name and how you like your drinks ! When we bring our toddler they make sure that she have something to nibble on right from the beginning. I’ve eaten at Casa Ramos hundreds of times, love it ! I’m picky with my food but never had anything to complain about, ever. Everything on the menu is awesome, whatever you order you can’t go wrong. They always have a spectacular special, every day. They ‘re just great !

We were staying at the Hampton Inn & the staff recommended Casa Ramos as a good place within walking distance where we could take a tired 4 year-old. The service was fast & friendly. Portions were generous. My husband was happy with his Macho Burrito, my sister & I were happy with our Mahi Mahi tostadas, my daughter loved her french fries, my mother ordered whatever the special was & loved it, my brother-in-law was only mildly satisfied with his hamburger.(but who orders a hamburger in a Mexican restaurant???) The chips & salsa were yummy. The salsa is extra chunky! The strawberry margaritas were delicious! We will probably come here again during our next trip to Red Bluff.

Awesome place! I love the veggie burritos. Salsa was a bit too spicy for me but they do offer mild salsa that is really good! I hear the margaritas are Amazing. Check out their 2 for $ 20 deal, they have a lot of good stuff!

While the food and margaritas were great, the service left us wanting. On a Friday night, it was not terribly busy and we were sat right away. In places I’ve never been, going with the recommendation is always helpful. This landed me with a huge burrito and a great find. It wasn’t the dry American-type burrito you’ll get elsewhere. This one was covered in sauce and felt more traditionally Mexican. After a long drive, the margarita was refreshing as well. More so toward the end of our meal, the service started getting noticeably slow. We weren’t checked on for nearly 25 minutes and at one point had to go up to the bar to ask for our waiter. Perhaps they might have been short staffed, but we really needed checked on more frequently.

Yes, I am a fan if giving a 4 star review is what that means. It is simoly good homestyle Mexican food and hits what Im craving when I am in N. California. I generally get the Carne Asada which is delicious however, I have tried their Fish tacos and they too are awesome! If your traveling along I-5 specifically north of Chico etc. and looking for a great place off Interstate in communities like Red Bluff, Redding, Willows, Corning or Yreka for instance(they have other locations I think) I recommend giving them a try. Great service, Great food and a good value.

Went in during happy hour yesterday. Got items off the happy hour menu and yet the bill at the end was still not reflecting happy hour prices… Food was good, service was ok, over all happy hour concept(needs improvement) might go back but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go during happy hour. You get screwed.

GLUTENFREEREVIEW: Andale Celiacs! Get your butts into Casa Ramos!!! Safe Food: My safe item I order everytime is the enchilada combo with corn tortilla, pork/beef filling, and red sauce. Refried beans and mexican rice. Tricky Food: Chips are fried in the same fryer as items with flour — so i skip these. As always, please use your own judgement, and ask your own questions. The waitstaff is more than willing to navigate the menu with you. I hope this review gives you a starting place. SIDENOTE: If you go for just drinks — you will not be disappointed. Strong, cheap, and huge. The pictures speak for themselves!!!

Great Mexican food located in Red Bluff! They have a large menu with burritos, tacos, enchiladas, tamales, etc. The price is a little more expensive compared to Taquerias, since most dishes are $ 10 or up. The complimentary chips and salsa was very good and addicting. The chips was hot and crispy. The salsa had a little kick to it. I decided to order 2 pork enchiladas with mexican rice. The rice was very good. I was expecting the pork to be a bit crispy like carnitas, but it was very tender. Instead of the normal red enchilada sauce, my dish had the green sauce, which was still good. Overall, Casa Ramos has good food and service. I’d definitely recommend this place if you are craving Mexican food.

This place was recommended by a local when I told them I was spending the night in Red Bluff and was looking for a place for dinner. Kinda reminded me of an El Torito from the outside and the inside as well. I went to the bar area and looked over the menu. Entrees were averaged about $ 14. Seafood was a little more. I ordered the shrimp diabla or something like that. The waiter told me it was one of his favorites. While waiting for the food, I had a Dos Equis amber and complimentary chips and salsa. Food arrives and it’s on a huge plate with corn tortillas in a warmer. It came with rice, beans and shredded lettuce and a slice of tomato. The shrimp didn’t taste right. Like it was frozen too long or rinsed with bleach or something. The sauce was way too sweet. It was like a Chinese sweet and sour sauce. Service was very good. Waiter and server were attentive and personable. Next time I’m in Red Bluff, I’ll probably try something different.

Just a block walk from the Hampton Inn, makes it very convenient. Overall, good food, a little slow on the service, and the interior décor seems old, grungy. We had the $ 20.00 two person special, two entrees, two helpings of rice and beans, two helpings of tortillas, and one appetizer. Pretty good value I’d say. Pros: Good margaritas, plenty of tequila. Good salsa, but probably too hot for most people. Overall, food was good, the Arroz con Pollo was good, cheesy, a little bland however. The taquitos are good, a little greasy. The mahi mahi tacos are excellent! The rice and beans were very good too. Cons: The service was slow, we sat at the bar, and no bartender there to serve us. I had to flag down someone to get service. The bar itself felt a little sticky and dirty.

We are staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites which is walking distance from Casa Ramos. The hotel staff said that if we show the server our hotel key, we’d get 15% off our bill. I ordered a small combination plate. The beef tamal was good. Rice was good, beans very good. If you don’t like cheese on your beans, you might want to tell them to leave it off. The other people in my group were satisfied with the food. The special for the evening was Chicken Cazuela, or something like that. The amount of food was huge, the size of the dish was like a hubcab. Margaritas were very good and large. Service is very friendly and attentive. We did get 15% off of our bill.

We stopped by on our way passing from Seattle back home to L.A. and this was pretty much the only place to have a decent sit-down meal. We were quickly seated and you could easily see that this was a favorite place for locals. The food was standard Mexican with very fair prices. We had a party of 7 and we ordered a little bit of a variety. Most items were tasty with only a few being either standout or sub-par. The standout dish was the steak plate that was on special. The grilled flank steak was tender and served with whole grilled green onions(my favorite). The sub-par dish was the tostada as it was a little plain and seemed to have more lettuce than any other dish. The rest of my party said that their food was okay as well, while nothing to write how about. Not a bad place to find when you are road-weary, hungry and ready for sleep.

Been here a bunch… but discouraged as pretty darn pricey. Today I was reminded why I don’t go here that often: 11.00 for a salad at lunch: Lotsa chicken over iceberg and? not much else except some warm crunchy chips and salsa The more I go there, the more they are like a chain. Hey, wait a minute, they are!

Went for a late lunch on a sunday. Atmosphere: typical Mexican restaurant but clean, well kept, everything in working order Deep booths are great for conversations, can’t see your neighbors or hear what they are saying. Restaurant was not busy. Menu: very good. The special, today was chili verde with enchilada $ 11.95, was presented on a table at the front and looked fresh and tasty. I ordered it. Food: large portions. typical fare, nothing creative, just good simple food served up quickly. Service: good, fast, sometimes awkward but friendly. Drinks: Very large margaritas, well mixed, strong. Full bar. Overall, Casa Ramos offers family friendly atmosphere, large portions, good prices. Would go again for a good meal.
