Wilcox Oaks Golf Club

I scheduled the round with golf
. The course was in good shape. The restaurant was outstanding! The staff was awesome!!!

My cousin had her wedding and reception at this country club. It is a private club, but they allowed my family to reserve the grounds and the hall/​bar for usage by our group. The grounds are well maintained and green as far as the eye could see, with a few lovely ponds here and there. The marriage ceremony was performed out on the course under a large tree that provided a cool and shady area for the seated guests. My cousin got to utilize a «wedding» golf cart to transport her to the location where her vows were to take place. Then the traditional wedding began and finished with the happy couple united as husband and wife.
Then, we all trekked to the clubhouse for the reception. The hall was nicely arranged with the colors of the wedding used in the table settings. There was plenty of seating for all the guests. The buffet was the best! All of the food selections were getting lots of compliments! There was tri tip steak, stuffed chicken breasts, vegetarian spaghetti, fresh rolls, green salad, mashed potatoes & gravy and green beans. All cooked to perfection (except the beans could have bean cooked a little longer) — but crispy!
After dinner, some tables were moved to make room for the dance floor and an area where the DJ was located. The bar and lounge was right next to the dining room. The drinks were good and strong and the bartenders friendly. You could also go outside to the patio area to enjoy the view and fresh air.
The wedding turned out very nice and enjoyed by all. Great for the small to medium sized gatherings.

I went to a wedding this last weekend at WOGC and I was pretty impressed. I spent some time over a two day period at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were fairly heavy pours and theywere inexpensive.
Although I did not have a chance to play the course, it looked like it was in pretty good shape.
WOGC did an outstanding job catering the wedding reception. The staff was extremely helpful and the food was really good. They did a great job barbecuing the tri tip. The pasta was good as were the potatoes and green beans. I did not try the stuffed chicken breasts but the people around me seemed to enjoy them immensely.
The people that did the cake did a wonderful job as well.
If you live in the area and plan to get married, I would highly recommend Wilcox Oaks.
