Love the atmosphere of this place. They do pizza Thursdays which are great and have select beers on tap from local breweries apparently which comes and goes seasonally which is something I would recommend.

Not only the best baguette and ciabatta, but apparently the absolute vest macaroon I ever tasted. Who knew?

Great little place, salads and pizza are really good, more of a flatbread pizza but good, lots of flavors and fresh ingredients. Beer and wine selections are limited but good choices and fairly priced. Service we like, casual service but just right for the place, they don’t hover but do observe and arrive at the right time, plus they actually acknowledge that you’ve been there before and remember you, always a great touch,

Came here for lunch, we were the only 2 in the restaurant on arrival, and I can say well never come back again. Before menu arrived we were asked our drink order; my friend had a PInot Grigo and I asked for Cabernet Sauvignon. When the drinks arrived there must have been only 2 ounces in the glass, and mine cost $ 11.00(the Pinot was only $ 5 but again just about an ounce or two of wine). The menu was confusing: choice of 2.½ salad or soup and paninni. but not all listed paninnis were included. We just ordered 2 panninis and waited around 15 minutes(we were still the only ones there) while server/bartender was on the phone the whole time. Bread was so hard we just ate one side with our filling, which, I must say was very good. Cole slaw was inedible, don’t know what they use to make it. Would not recommend this place to anyone. I’m from NYC and understand the high price of drinks, but this was a bit much.

I really enjoy this place! Excellent personal pizzas, the margarita pie is my favorite, excellent wine and beer options, all reasonably priced.

We were passing through on our way upstate and the great smells from the baked bread intrigued us so we went in. The place was empty when we walked in. The décor was a bit odd and the music even odder. The menu looked amazing so we gave it a try. We ordered soups, paninis and pizza. The panini bread was really good as was the soup. The tomato sauce on the pizza and panini was just off. It lacked all flavor and almost didn’t even taste like tomato. There is no salt or pepper on the tables which was odd. I think they have potential with their bread but maybe step up on seasoning and use fresher, homemade foods. Prices were ok and service was okay.

Our family of four had dinner last Wednesday at Bread and Bottle. Alex, our waiter was warm, attentive and funny — we had a wonderful meal and great conversation with Jessica(one of the owners). We ordered two pies, one white and the other margherita along with salad and garlic bread. All delicious; so good that we returned on Sunday and ordered another white pizza to take home. Will definitely be repeat customers!

My boyfriend and I took a road trip down from Up north and came across this cute place… Exactly the type of thing we like. Wine, bread, cheese. But we were let down once we saw menu. The bread was great but that was about it. Meatballs didn’t taste homemade and neither did the marinara sauce. The back of the bar seemed very messy and the décor was a little strange. Not sure what their theme is but it’s a little confusing to me. The staff was very nice but unfortunately we won’t be back.

Awesome food, plus some great beer and wine. Nice and roomy; it’s one of my go-to spots to swing by for an interesting pint and/or glass of wine with a friend. One warning: I love Bread & Bottle, but it’s a terrible place to get a growler filled. I’ve tried three times, and each time I left with a foamy mess. They seem to have no fill tube, and no training on how to fill a growler. Thus, it becomes a comedy of errors as the growler approaches full, and the barkeeps don’t seem to notice that they’re handing over a growler full of foam to customers. Which is strange, since they do seem to know their way around beer otherwise. Ah well, no place is perfect, but this place comes close.

Recipe for a fantastic Sunday evening: 1) Assemble your trivia dream team. I gathered my music expert boyfriend, my 2 movie and tv expert friends, my dad the medical doctor, and my hyper-intelligent grandma. 3 generations of awesome knowledge. We were unstoppable. 2) Purchase various bottles of lovely wine off their lovely wine list and let the libations flow. 3) Get some of their excellent bread for the table and a few entrees to share. 4) Kick ass, win the trivia night, and enjoy. 5) Wait a week and repeat.(I can’t wait to do this step!)

Our favorite place to go! Cheese and wine… Add in homemade pizza. Doesn’t get any better. The owners and staff really know how to make you feel welcome.

This place wants to be exactly the kind of place I totally love. And I see a bunch of 5-star reviews, so maybe I was there on an off day. However. The white bean hummus that we ordered had clearly gone bad. We told our waiter and got a replacement(much better!) but there was no acknowledgement that rancid hummus is a problem. The crab cake sliders were salty and fishy-tasting. All the food that wasn’t noticeably wrong was forgettable. They were out of most of their on-tap beer when we got there, and quickly ran out of the one we were drinking. Through it all, our waiter had all the table-side manner of a kitchen appliance, and was nearly impossible to flag down when we wanted to order more. We ended up eating enough and drinking enough(and spending enough), but don’t feel inclined to go back.

If you check out my profile page you read that I like good spagheti, and this place has the real deal. The sauce is full of Italian-style spices and big chunks of meat, they pile on mountains of fluffy parmesaeno, and the salt proportions were accurate. Amore(Italian for«I Like»!)! They really know what their doing what with Italian Home-Style cooking and all. My experience is awarded a 3-Star Rating because of the dining area atmosphere. I went last sunday for a late dinner coming back from Home Depot but it was so loud I could hardly savor the tastes and scents of my steaming meal, but what with some nerd shouting out questions and everyone else running around like dummys trying to answer them. It was confusing and made me angry.

On any other night, this would be a great place for a glass of wine and a light meal. Tonight, we went for trivia. Trivia is advertised to start at 6PM. Tonight, it won’t be over before 9PM. The host appears to show no regard for those of us who don’t want to spend over 3 hours a dinner. We will be back for food and drink, but maybe not Sunday Night Trivia.

I have to say, this is one unique place for a beer and not your bud, coors or Miller beer. I had a great IPA and the list of choices looked good. I went with my wife and friends. We had a great relaxing evening with live acoustic music and one of the best pizzas I have ad in a long time. I will be back.

I really love this place. We’ve been coming here for the past yr or so and I buy the cheddar jalapeño loaf every time. We’ll sit down for some block 9 pinot noir or that fantastic Cabernet sav that they serve and order a bunch of small plates and watch their live music. on Sunday nights they have trivia night which is fun! The duck prosciutto which they’re known for, is especially good, I love the cheeses and fried artichoke too. Great place to hang out after paying a speeding ticket next door… and the staff is wonderful.

My husband and I stopped in for a couple of drinks this past Saturday night before we caught a show at the Fisher Center at Bard College. What a find! Lovely building, great staff, good prices, nice selection. We stopped in for just one drink at first, but we decided to stay for 2 hours because it was so inviting. At one point, some students from Bard set up in the corner and played a little jazz for us. I’d highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

Bread and Bottle serves quality comfort food in a very beautiful setting. The owners are so warm and friendly, and bake their own bread. Lots of the charcuterie selections are smoked and cured in-house! Must-try’s: lomo(cured pork loin), and the red dragon, a soft mustard infused English cheddar. I wasn’t drinking on this particular occasion, but next time I choose to partake, I’ll definitely hit up their excellent draft selection.

I came here opening night. I was pleased with the beers they had on tap-good choices, although I wish there was more variety. The wine selections were alright, but nothing too spectacular. I did have an excellent cheese plate. I liked that all the cheeses were fairly local. The service was okay, but it took a bit for the waitress to bring our drinks around, but they were just opening so I could let that slide. Overall I would say this place has the potential to become a great hang out spot for locals.
