Meh — lackluster pizza, ok service, great location facing the red river mountain, prices are kinda overstated/tourist prices. Our sfl coal fired pizza blows this stuff to the ground.

We came to Red River NM to try out the cross country skiing but had to leave early because AMTRAK left our checked baggage(skiis and boots) in Los Angeles. What a lovely place, reminds us of Ketchum ID. This restaurant was recommended by the Best Western and we really liked the friendly atmosphere and good food after a long day on the train and driving up here. When plan to come back when I visit Albuqerque on business.

waited almost 45 minutes before being seated. We ordered pizza and it was Ok. Not likely to order from them again.

The food looked good, but all we got to do was see it. It was unbelievably slow service. We might have caught them on a bad night, maybe they were short handed?, but the reason for the one star is the staff are just so very awful. I’m so surprised that someone would run a business this way. The manager on duty or maybe the owner even was the rudest of all.

The only reason for 1 star is the wait staff. They were friendly and prompt. The food on the other hand was a different story. We had spaghetti with meat sauce and chicken parmigiana. Both were tasteless. We were here in the off season and there was not another place open at 6:00 p.m. will not eat here again. Very disappointing.

We ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and Alfredo. We also got a child’s pizza. When ordering the waitress took our drink order and came back with a different drink than what I ordered, and never came back with the right drink, we ended up flagging another waiter down. After waiting 35 mins for our food to come out, the food was warm. not hot like it had just got finished, the food had no flavor whatsoever, we’ve had store bought sauce that tasted better than this. Its a pricey place as well, for 2 adults and a child it was almost $ 50. I don’t recommend it at all. Very disappointed and unsatisfied. Left still hungry, didn’t even wanna finish the food.

Thin crust pizza was burnt black on the edges and slopped together. Kids lasagna was bad too. My son couldnt even chew the noodles they were so tough. It was $ 30 for the lasagna and med pizza too… Which is ok for a tourist town but it wasnt edible. So i reallly dont have anything good to say at all about this place…

We arrived at Red River for the first time and decided on trying Capos. Needless to say, the best part of dinner was my beer and the side salad. I had Seafood Linguini and my wife had the Bona Magiata, we each chose the minestrone, and we shared an order of artichoke hearts. The only food that seemed prepared was the side salad. The rest didn’t have any flavor, the hearts appeared to be from the freezer aisle, the minestrone tasted like it was fresh from the can, the sauces were bland, the eggplant was warm at best, and the seafood consisted of 3 small shrimp and a few pieces of imitation crab. The manager deducted one of our entrees, and the bill was still $ 45. Totally was not worth that, much less the $ 65 we would have paid had we not complained.

Their food is all mediocre. It isn’t horrible. If you are after pizza then go for Anchovies Pizzeria — it is much, much better pizza. If you are after other Italian then it is pretty good, but nothing amazing.

Had lunch here yesterday, and was fairly impressed. Some positives-they let you order off the kid’s menu(no age restriction). The kid’s portion was also a satisfactory smallish meal for an adult and a salad was included-a deal! I ordered the Italian meatball sandwich and split it with my husband. The meatballs were well seasoned with herbs, albeit a bit dry. The sauce and bread was good. Some negatives-the French fries were soggy(I didn’t even finish them, a shocker for me) and there is a $ 3 shared plate charge. However, it was nice that they portioned the meal out onto 2 plates for us. One thing that did impress me was how clean the high chair was that they brought for my 7 month old. Overall, pretty average-to-good Italian food.

Our waiter was very quiet, shy and not wanting to be there, also all the seats cracks where full of food… YUCK. One last thing with the seats… They felt like rocks…(-1 star) We waited not very long, and the pizza came. Its was alight, very little flavor, good portion but a HUGE price.(–1 star) Overall it was almost $ 60 for 3SMALL pizza’s.(–1 star) It was an average pizza place, that’s the reason for 2 stars. If our waiter was a bit better it would get a 3.

Order 2 pizzas for takeout. Service was fast and friendly. Pizzas were very good with a good ratio of sauce and toppings. Crust isn’t too thin more like hand tossed. Will order from here again.

It’s a bit more pricey than represented. Meals run $ 18, burger & sandwiches are $ 12. A featherduster would not be an unwelcome visitor. But the food was good. My daughter and I had the kid’s meals(no age restrictions!!) which was plenty of food. I had the manicotti, which was tasty. My daughter claimed it «was the best pizza ever!» Hubby enjoyed his calzone. All in all, good Italian food. Considering there are such few options for dining RR, we will come again.

Best place to eat in Red River. Very clean with a good verity of things to order! Great location 1 minute from the main ski lift and minutes from the best hotels in town. Service here rocks also!

We were there during Spring break(week of 3⁄10) and despite the negative reviews on here decided to check it out. We had a good sized party(4 adults, 4 kids) and got seated within 15 minutes(not bad for how busy this town is). I am not sure if the other reviewers on here had something tricked up but we stuck to the basics… pizza and calzones. The food was very good and the service was fantastic. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The salads that came with the meal were very good and much better than you get at other places. If you are there, give it a try!

TERRIBLE and ridiculously overpriced. For this quality of food everything should be $ 10 less than it is. I dont know how this place can stay in business. My spaghetti only came with a tiny bit of sauce and was so bland and dry. The fettucini had no flavor at all. Avoid this place at all costs.

We arrived just before the swarm of hungry tourists and our table of 16 was sat within 15 minutes. We were greeted quickly by our server and our drinks on the way. With 16 people sometimes ordering can be a bit challenging for us all. The menu had tons to choose from, we enjoyed chicken parmesan, lasagna, cannelloni, Italian meatballs, spaghetti and several pizzas(cheese, pepperoni & beef). We feasted and had a couple of slices left over for snack too! Yes the prices were a bit high, but well worth it for the food, service and ability to accommodate 16 without a reservation.
