Patronize another nearby hotel that cares. Stayed in room 110 on a Saturday night and was waken up by the HVAC unit with a loud ticking noise at 5am! This lasted until about 6:30am. No other rooms left to transfer to, they gave me $ 10 off the rate. Should have been offered more as it completely disturbed our sleep. The unit was not even on and unplugging it did nothing. Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick… Manager stated $ 10 was all she could for me per the owners. I left my phone number for them to contact me direct, and no return call. It was the last room available, hmm I wonder why a first floor room was the last one available… They knew about it and gave no disclosure about it. Also not very clean rooms, not worth it considering the other nearby options. If nothing else available, do not accept room 110!

Unfriendly staff and filthy rundown rooms. The rooms they show on the site looked nothing like the one we were given. Ours was old, dirty and in need of remodeling. The furniture was old and stained, the wall and ceiling were coming down and there was hair on the bathtub and bathroom floor. I actually bought a pillow from the store to sleep on and throw away and even thought about sleeping in the car. Horrible stay.

While the location was nice, and the overall ambiance was pleasant, the beds and the customer service was lacking. The beds were hard and sunk in the middle… made for an interesting nights sleep. The customer service, well I can only scratch the surface on how they coordinated and misrepresented billing. My mother was double charged for her rooms and after 4 days, she is still trying to dispute the charges. Wish management was more effective.

Stayed one night but this is our 3rd or 4th visit over the years. This time the inn was full. We arrived unknowingly during a pottery convention. The hotel is well built. Even though the inn was full, I did not hear any of our neighbors. There were several construction trucks idling in the parking lot but I could not hear the with the window closed. Room was good sized and clean. The breakfast was below average for motel«free» breakfast. I would recommend this inn and will stay here again.

What to say, without totally ruining your trip. I would suggest arriving early, before they lock themselves out of the lobby and you have to wait 20 minutes, just to get into the lobby, after a long day of travel. Desk clerk could not get any of his keys to work to get himself back into the hotel after running over to the adjoining Amerinn. At one point we actually called another hotel to try to get in there, because it took so long for this guy to get into his own place of business. Once we got into the lobby, very clean, well lit, fast check in. Promised to reduce our bill for the Inconvenience, THATNEVERHAPPENED. Room was clean and in good repair. Nothing special, but it was only 94.00 a night. A refrigerator or microwave would have been nice, like other average hotels have. Don’t think I will be staying here again, especially if I arrive late in the day. When I say late, I am talking 10:30 p.m. folks! Internet access is spotty, it comes and goes, another feature I find necessary.

Just spent the weekend at Nichol’s Inn(Red Wing) and loved it! Very clean, friendly staff, AWESOME continental breakfast including waffle grills, fresh bagels, fresh fruit… Décor was up-to-date, rooms were spacious, and I was pleasently surprised to find my room had a fridge. My wife appreciated the bath & body works soaps and shampoo!
