I really enjoy the atmosphere of this place — especially for lunch or happy hour. Every time I’ve stopped, service has been great! They have an awesome bloody marry, too.

Great pasta and crunchy pizza if you’re into the think stuff! Bar help could be a little friendlier for 5 starts :)

I contacted The BrickHouse by phone 4 seperate times to ask to have them cater for my wedding next spring. I paced each call within reason 2day followup after initial call and then 1 week btwn each of the following calls, and always during different hours which were not peak business times. Each time someone wrote down my information. They did not return a single phone call. On the brightside, my fiancé and I will be supporting two brand new businesses that we had not heard of previously for food and alcohol instead. And working with them has been amazing. They return phone calls and emails immediately, and are flexible and friendly.

We stopped in around 6 p.m. The burgers and drinks were good. I would return for the food. The service was lacking. The hostess was unprofessional. The waitress we had was nice, but had not been properly trained in overall service skills. The other waitress was not engaged with the customers at all. The bar tender was nice, but not familiar with his products. With a little training in customer service, this place could be great. Nice atmosphere and clean.

Between the frantic waitress and the uncooked fries(after ordering 2 times) I will not be going back.

Our family of four stopped for dinner after hiking. food — some good and some not ambiance/atmosphere — pretty good. service — needs improvement, slow and forgetfull, poor reception. I’m not sure what else is available in the area, so this may be as good as it gets

I’ve been here twice now. Both times I had the thai peanut chicken wrap. It is quite good. The only thing I would say about this wrap is that it really should come with some kind of sauce that compliments the spiciness. It’s a little on the dry side. When I had it a couple weeks ago I had asked for ranch to dip it in. An odd flavor mix, but it cooled it a bit and added the sauciness it’s missing. My husband and I came here later on a Sunday night. They must have had a busy week because they were not stocked very well. Our server, the bartender, was very apologetic and accommodated where she could. Even gave us a drink on the house for our inconvenience. Out of fish, husband wanted the walleye, out of sweet potato puffs, I wanted that instead of fries, out of mushrooms, husbands 2nd choice was the mushroom sandwich. He ended up getting a pizza with his choice of ingredients. We had crossed our fingers that she wouldn’t come back from the kitchen and say they were out of something else. He very much enjoyed his pizza. I had ordered a drink that the bartender didn’t know how to make, and she asked around and looked it up in her bartender book instead of saying nope, can’t make it. Well, she made it very well. :-) All together we had a very nice time here, even after all the order adjustments.

Some of the worst food I’ve ever paid for. We stopped by after a nice fall drive to Red Wing for boots and to see some colorful trees. I promptly ordered a root beer, which was a watered down A&W unfortunately. I followed up with a tap beer I doubted they could mess up as bad as forgetting to replace the syrup on fountain pop. The first appetizer we tried was«pizza bites». It was literally 5 slices of French bread, with canned pizza sauce, salty sausage, and packaged shredded motz. It was freezing cold, had no seasoning beyond the ridiculous salt content of the sausage, and looked like something a 12 year old made for an after school snack. Terrible, terrible 0⁄5 star app. The entrée I ordered was just as bad, an open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. It was horrible, not even edible. Nothing had a bit of flavor whatsoever. The onions were dropping in sugar and tasted like syrup. Everything else was bland, cold, and had gross texture. I tried my wife’s steak salad, and the steak was so tough that you couldn’t even chew it. Beyond the terrible food, the ambiance is quite eclectic, but in a not so put together or thought out way. The staff was fast at first, but once we got our food was nowhere to be found while we tried to exit somewhat quickly with a hungry baby. Overall, there is nothing redeeming about this restaurant. I would never recommend visiting here unless you order a bottled beer and like food that comes straight out of the freezer.

Oh yea, a must stop in Red Wing. Outside patio in downtown! Good grub and people! A front row to main drag activity!

I had the club, my wife the bacon cheeseburger. Both were good. The fries, contrary to earlier reviews, were excellent. We waited a bit longer than expected for the food to arrive. The place was packed and only three girls were on staff but they did a great job. The manager needs to learn how to properly staff a restaurant for a holiday weekend. The décor could use some work though. I’d probably come here again.

Nice place… perfect for happy hour but may be best to grab dinner somewhere else. Great happy hour drink prices; $ 1.75 for a beer or rail drink. We tried one appetizer — sausage wontons — not good! They tasted like over priced pizza bites and they served them with ketchup and mayonnaise for sauces… seriously! But if you go for a drink or to sit on the patio you’ll probably be happy. Oh… try a raspberry lemonade and vodka… happy hour happiness!

We were a group of five coming in for lunch on a weekday as a part of riding the Cannon Valley Trail from Welch. We were greeted right away, the server was pleasant. It took us a few minutes to get organized and order, but most of us ordered the ½ sandwich and salad lunch special. Our order took an hour to arrive. We saw other people being served, and we lamented not ordering the Bloody Mary, as it appeared the bartender was able to crank them out and they looked good. We think we might have been able to make a meal of the Bloody Mary and NOT waited an hour for ½ sandwich and salad(straight out of the bag greens.) While our server apologized several times for the wait, we did not see a manager, or receive any explanation about what was taking SOOOOOOOO long. Our server did mention that since we were biking«at least we weren’t in a hurry to get back to work.» Maybe she could have mentioned that we could get a complimentary appetizer or perhaps comp one of the meals… but, no. Food was okay, although somewhat bland. Server was nice and perhaps there was a problem in the kitchen that we were not aware of, although other reviewers have mentioned slow. I would not return here or recommend it to anyone

Went there for lunch 2 days ago. I was hoping for their personal BBQ pizza or their taco pizza of yore. No longer on the menu the chef still made one up. Very good. Only 1 offering for dessert – disappointing since we were there Nice atmosphere and kind staff. Wouldn’t be on the top of my list to go back because there are better options in town. But good food – if more options if give it a higher star count.

I went here for dinner on a Monday night. The service was good. There is outdoor seating, but most of the tables are pretty close to the street. Happily, when it started raining, there were plenty of tables inside. My server was attentive and friendly, coming out to warn me when the rain was just starting. I got the burger with fries. The burger was juicy and clearly made with freshly ground beef. The bun was dinner roll sized, so the meat hung over the edge on most of the sides. I do not recommend the fries. They tasted like grocery store fries that had been baked(specifically Ore Ida Crispers). Maybe the standard chips are better. I am staying across the street all week, but I don’t plan to go back.

Food was decent(had an Inferno Burger, would probably give that 3 stars), but honestly, not very inferno-ish(and I have a fairly average tolerance for spice). But the service was pathetic. 1 star for that, bringing rating down to 2 overall. Waited 40 minutes on a slow night for food, with no apologies. The place was either seriously understaffed or they are just incompetent, cause it wasn’t very crowded. Even took 20 minutes just to get my check! All in all, was there for an hour for just a burger and a beer! Been here 2 times now, won’t be coming back.

Second time here in a year. We like to drive to Red Wing when the whether is good. I really enjoy the new beers they’ve featured here each time. The pizza is really good, as are the sandwiches and burgers. This place definitely feels like a must-eat place for us whenever we come to Red Wing. Friendly servers greet you when you come in(though you seat yourself), and they’re very attentive to our requests. The Turtle ice cream was great! We’ll be back!

Nested in the heart of Red Wing, this is a cute little restaurant. My Bloody Mary was incredible, highly recommend that. Got the bruised burger which was decent and the strawberry spinach salad which was great, especially with that goat cheese sprinkled on. Mmm :) The ambiance was nice but service was just ok. Given I live in Minneapolis, probably won’t return but if you’re in the area, it’s a nice spot to grab lunch and a drink.

They try to do the best with the space they have —as witnessed by the warmer colors and softer lighting. I sat in a booth on the side with the bar. We were the only people there having drinks for approx 1 hour so not very busy which is fine. The bartender did listen and prepare my drinks to order. I was shocked at the price here. 26.00 for two cosmos and a soda which was never refilled and we had to ask for water. We were the only people in there! It is not that classy of a joint! It just is lacking in appeal to me –I would choose another place next time.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Steak salad with bleu cheese and balsamic was great. Sweet potato puffs with the sweet(brown sugar based?) sauce were fabulous.

Although the waitress claimed it to be a «busy night», at least one or two tables remained open during my meal with my two guests. The service was very friendly, though very slow. They are lucky to have such great personnel because you will be lucky to get in and out in under 90 minutes. Bring some good company and you will be great. I STRONGLY recommend the bloody works. A feast of an appetizer in itself, the mountain of good and fresh additions help balance an otherwise strong Bloody Mary. My compliments to the bartenders. The food was good but nothing special. The burger I had(with peanut butter) was cooked precisely to my desiring and the final product tasted quite nice. My two guests thoroughly enjoyed their drinks and stuffed wonton appetizer as well as their salad and burgers. For the price, the experience was worth it. In a small town, the service was appropriate. That said, this establishment is aimed at the tourist and could stand to up their production times. Worth the visit. Will come eat here again with greater patience and understanding of their protocol. I recommend the Brickhouse Pub and Grille to any coming through town.
