I’m going to have to agree a bit with the previous reviewer. There were quite a few dusty shelves with items in a disarrayed state. I don’t need everything to be spic-​and-​span but it looked like one of those post-​holiday sales happened recently or something… or perhaps they just hadn’t had a chance to tidy up after the holidays yet.
However, I had a good time strolling through this huge store looking at random things. My mom found just about everything she was looking for minus an electronic can opener, and she was pleased with the low prices. Other than that, I’d say the service has improved since the last review as we found them to be friendly and attentive.

On cleanliness it would get one star. The staff is usually more occupied with restocking than even looking at you, much less moving out of the way. One staff member was restocking the cokes right by the register blocking it even after I stood here for 2 minutes and the cashier clearly stating I’ll get you on this register. Really? They need some help in customer service area.
Big Lots is a hit or miss. But I do enjoy their seasonal sections. And if your a 49ers or Radiers fan they always have cute themed Christmas stuff.
You can usually find a bargain on random things. It’s fun if your like strolling around a store.
