My ’87 Vanagon Westfalia Syncro had a fuel injection problem and wouldn’t start in Fall River Mills. I was having it towed down to Redding and called ahead to a few shops. After one shop didn’t call me back and another said he couldn’t work on my particular vehicle, Craig and I really hit it off on the phone and he told me to go ahead and have my car towed to his shop. He warned me I might have to spend the night in Redding.
After I got there (see my positive review of Mt. Burney Tow Service) Craig had it running in about an hour! He gave me an explanation of some things that needed attending to when I got back home, but assured me that he had done a fix that was adequate to get me home to the SF Bay area. There was another out-​of-​towner car in the shop that he had just gotten running when I was there. Craig is definitely the travelers’ live saver, being located where he is!

Great mechanic! Craig always knows what going on with my MB and takes care of it… at a reasonable cost.

Their prices are comparable to those in town, but when I take my car in, I don’t feel like I’m getting screwed!
Craig works primarily with mercedes, but I took my Toyota Prius in (after taking it into Lithia Toyota multiple times) to have him check out my headlights. My headlights kept burning out or dimming about a week after replacement. Toyota just kept replacing my headlights and said there was nothing wrong! Eventually I got smart and realized they weren’t really fixing the problem. I brought my car to Craig, and within a day he figured out that it wasn’t the headlights but an electrical unit that controls them. Yay!
He also does an amazing job on mercedes… sometimes I wish I still had mine!

Creller’s does very good work. He’s not cheap but his prices are comparable with any of the dealerships in town. Mercedes are his mainstay. He may be the best Mercedes mechanic in Redding.
