We had BLT on French roll, turkey on rye and a Reuben on rye. All were super fresh and tasty. Service was quick and pleasant. Atmosphere is casual, clean and comfortable. They sell meat to-go because it is a working smokehouse.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal here with my wife. The meat lovers pizza was very tasty having fresh sliced meats produced on site. The rueben sandwich met all expectations. The owner served us and we engaged in delightful coversation about the restaurant and their journies. Well worth visiting again.

Best pizza ever! My sister took me here for my birthday last year. Most of us had the pizza, but my brother in law had a sandwich. We were all pretty happy with full bellies. I’ve had the pizza several times since then. Every time I go in I say I’m going to try something different, but I can never resist the pizza.(Bacon and tomato one is my favorite!) They smoke their own meats here, so be sure to grab a pound, or 2 or 10, of their bacon from the case if you go in. And be prepared to stuff your face!

First off. My girlfriend likes it and she hates pizza. This place has the best pizza in town for sure. Now that I have tried the meat lovers and the chicken with white sauce I can confirm the first time was no fluke. This place is the real deal. Their jerky not sure what it’s really called is fire. Last time it wasn’t as dry. It was easier to eat, but this one it was really dry and was so flavorful. You got to at least try one. You won’t regret it. I’m excited to explore more of the menu and grab some stuff from the deli to eat at home.

This place is amazing! The pizza is made with fresh ingredients, even use their own smoked meats! The crust is just right. Not too thick, not too thin, and a bit crunchy. Love it and recommend it to all my friends. Way better than any other pizza place around here has even thought about being.

We recently made our first visit to Old World and it definitely won’t be our last. The pizza was outstanding. Made completely fresh. Nothing out of a can or the freezer. Home-made sauce and the meat toppings are sliced fresh from their own meat counter, which is worth a visit on its own.

Simply the best pizza I’ve had in a long long time maybe ever… The toppings were generous to say the least and fresh. The crust was baked to perfection. I haven’t been this satisfied with a pizza in a long long time and the staff is so professional and friendly… I would definitely recommend and I will definitely be going back!

Pizza the way it should be! Not only do they make all but 1 of their amazing meats in house, they also slice it all to order — even for the pizzas. The results are phenomenal. And they don’t just make awesome pizzas and sandwiches but you can get their amazing meats sliced to order or whole smoked hams, chickens and turkeys plus jerky, and cheeses like their smoked cheddar. The friendly staff is attentive and knowledgeable. It did take longer than your typical pizza shop but the additional few minutes were worth it. My second favorite part of our lunch at Old World Smokehouse were the prices: we picked up a few pounds of meat, a pound of smoked cheddar and some jerky to take home plus our pizza and drinks which in all were LESSEXPENSIVE than our last pizza we had delivered.

This pizza is proof that more isn’t better. The crust is so dry at the ends you just chew and chew and chew and the pizza is completely soggy in the middle. This is no surprise as there is pounds of toppings on the thing. And we waited for-ev-er, reassured over and over that it was worth it. The meats were pretty good(made in house — we were told a few times) but no one needs piles and piles of it. I don’t understand why they don’t balance out their toppings to avoid this mess. There was enough toppings for 2 – 3 pizzas. Veggies were undercooked and the center of the meat pile looked like the heat hadn’t even penetrated. I’m not surprised we were the only people eating. On a positive note, the ranch was good for dipping the crazy plethora of toppings into. The ones that seemed edible, at least…

Went there for the first time last night. Love this place and will definitely be back. Friendly staff, great pizza and assortment of meats and cheeses. The pizza takes a while to make because they slice the meat fresh for every order, well worth the wait. I’m going back to try some sandwiches soon. But the cracker like pizza crust is the best in town.

I passed this place a lot on Hartnell, one evening getting the urge for pizza I remember about this. Me and my mom go in and check out the deli case, get a good vibe from this place. But seeing everyone sitting around and then seeing the prices should have sent up a red flag right there. We ordered the large deluxe pizza, was informed it’s a 30 minute wait… uh ok. But are assured it’s worth it. So we take the plunge, while waiting the subject comes up about getting some soda and other grocery items to have with the pizza. To give you an idea how long the wait is I left and got everything at target went home and came back with normal Redding traffic, pizza still wasn’t done lol. So finally it’s done, by the time we get it home I’m famished. I try it and am left so unsatisfied, sauce has no real taste unless it’s tomato lol. So much meat and veggies stacked that the crust underneath becomes soggy greasy mess. The topping again no flavor at all. To put it bluntly it was a terrible expensive mistake, the cherry on top was that after reviewing the receipt they automatically add on a tip to your bill. WTF? Don’t even give me a choice, sounds shady to me. Conclusion another mediocre attempt at gourmet pizza.

There’s nothing to compare this establishment to. All of their meats are made in house with love by the owner and his wife. I don’t understand why more people don’t patronize this place. I read in a previous review that this place will be on the food network soon. I agree. I found a diamond in the rough in Redding, CA. I received hand to hand service. No number, name on a cup etc. This is the real deal! Food made with love for people who love food. I don’t understand why this day in age someone would rather go to a large chain restaurant/box store or deli and get a pile of large batch of corporately mass produced meats and cheeses. Check this place out as it is a jewel!

Wow. This place was great. We ordered the deluxe pizza and I’ve never seen any pizza piled that high. They cure most of their meats in house and they were all delicious. We ended up with a deluxe pizza, bacon, salami, beef jerky, and a homemade brownie and got out of there for $ 35.00. I was totally impressed and will be back

Wow! Been looking for a great pizza since wall street closed, and this is it. Got the deluxe and it didn’t disappoint. You can tell he takes great pride in every ingredient, and there is plenty! Great sauce with a tang. Also got the salad for 2, and it was well done. So happy this great place is right down the street. A++

After seeing pictures on Unilocal I was excited to try their meat lovers pizza. I called in our order to go and was told it would be 45 minutes which hey it’s Friday night that’s a long wait but no biggie. When we got there to pick it up we noticed a few tables who looked like they were really hungry and had been waiting awhile. Ours wasn’t ready either. Only two people working on a Friday night, yikes! When we did finally get our pizza I was disappointed to find the crust flavorless and the chicken ranch pizza to be very bland. The meat lovers pizza had so much on it you had to eat it with a fork. The meats were yummy but that’s about all the pizza had going for it. For 35 $ for a large pizza I think we will stick with our other favorite pizza place in town. Overall not super impressed.

Ordered hot sandwiches that came stuffed with meats and cheeses– sis had the pepperoni and I had the reuben. They were made on small pizza crusts and folded over like a calzone. They were really good. The meat in the reuben was a bit dry, but it had REALLYGOODFLAVOR! They pepperoni one was chock-full of pepperoni and cheese and they added a bit of pizza sauce to add to the yumminess. It was really nice because they asked me if I wanted mustard or 1000 island on the side of my reuben– that was nice. The saurkraut was really good and flavorful, too. We also ordered cobb salads(we hadn’t eaten since 8am that day, and it was already 5pm!) It was a large bowl filled with lettuce, ham, turkey, chunky cheeses, tomato, croutons and choice of dressing. This salad was kinda simple but really really good! The cheese was just chopped slices from the deli counter, but it was GOOD cheese! Everything together made for a filling salad. ended up taking ½ our sandwiches home! Recommended for good service, great stuffed sandwiches… and what we saw, the pizzas looked GREAT!(Piled high with toppings)
