Downtown Java and Cafe

I love this local coffee shop. You’ll find it tucked in the downtown promenade, walking distance from anywhere downtown. The ladies there always greet me with a smile and quick service. I’ve never been for breakfast, but I’ve gotten lunch here a few times and coffee on several occasions. The coffee is great and reasonably priced. Their sandwiches and salads come with quality, healthy ingredients and sides. I’m vegetarian, and it’s so nice to order here and have options (GOOD options at that). They have call-​in orders ready and waiting for you, which is great for shorter lunch periods. I so appreciate having a reliable, LOCAL place downtown.

Took some friends to go try this Coffee shop and WOW! Everything was sooooo good and the folks who work there are great and friendly and dealt with us for we are not a quite, or behaved group. The food was wonderful, coffee and smoothies taste to DIE FOR! We will be back! Support them 100%!!

Amazing staff and wonderful customer service!!! I’ve had every baked treat there basically. They are amazing! I love their Chai teas! Christmas time they have christmas chai!!!

I’ve found a place that can make a coffee strong enough to break through the thick nightmarish fog that is my every morning. Just when i think nothing can make a dent in my near comatose like sleep walking state these amazing providers of caffeine induced hope are here to save the day. Not to mention the awesome confectionary magic that is contained therein, I mean they have bacon and cheese scones for God’s sake, that alone should get you in there. My drink of choice is the mocha that they happily use almond milk in for me upon request, they have scrumptious substitute options if you’re like me whose won the genetic lottery and happen to be lactose intolerant.
Today i happened to try one of their salads, a chicken salad with Raspberry vinaigrette that was just as impressive as EVERYTHING else they do! So if you like a calm atmosphere with a professional and delicious talent for both breakfast foods and specialty items that are unique to this one in a million coffee shop that you need look no further than this place.

I see this establishment gets good reviews. I like the atmosphere and shop which is why I gave it two stars. However, I ordered the #1 breakfast bowl today and was highly disappointed. It left much to be desired. The potatoes were not cooked. Tasted raw. It consists on eggs, potatoes, cheese, sour cream, and salsa but with raw potatoes was not edible. I didn’t think it was possible to mess breakfast up but I was proved wrong. This place seems to get good reviews on their other food and the items I saw on display looked good so maybe just avoid the breakfast? Also, barista looked like she was in pajamas. Not sure I’d eat here again…

Got the «Jason’s Special,» for breakfast. I’m not much of a coffee drinker so I got the blended Chai Latte. Very good, ingredients were fresh. Service was nice, and relatively quick. They did a great job with the space they have (bit of a weird shape/​building) and the atmosphere is nice. My only thing is it was really hard to find! The entrance is on the parking lot side and the directions made it seem like it was on the mall/​alley side.

Good food, good coffee & good service. No complaints. Ditch the StarSchmucks and try this local spot!

I’m surprised how few Unilocal reviews this place has despite the good number of people I’ve seen shuffle in and out throughout the day. There is a decent-​sized dining area, but as there isn’t wifi available to customers, this probably isn’t the best place to study or do work. The staff are all very lovely and helpful, and the food is quite delicious. I particularly enjoy the breakfast burritos, of which I have eaten at least ten. I have had their sandwiches a couple of times and they seem to be a good deal for the price. I can’t really comment on the coffee due to a somewhat severe intolerance to caffeine, but they have a wide array of drink and food options. You should stop by to support a local coffee shop, catch up on the local news, and see what may be the largest collection of Torani syrups (I’m pretty sure they have every flavor).

You won’t be disappointed if you skip the big chain coffee places & come here. Their raspberry white chocolate mocha is amazing! Everyone I was with loved the food. The staff is extremely friendly. Support this local business & you won’t be sorry!

New owners at this Downtown Promenade location. I just had a great chicken tamale plate. Quite tasty. Come and support new owners. I think they’ll do well as customer service should be second to none.
