Really disappointed in the professionalism and lack of knowledge…“because” isn’t a reason

Very poor service the young lady was rude and very short with me said they had a truck but wanted to charge me extra for the truck when all the other rental staff saying it would be the same price for the truck as the compact car I’m not going to recommend them.

I’ve always had great service renting from Enterprise, but unfortunately their reservation system doesn’t recognize that a person making a reservation expects to pick up a car. I had a reservation to pick up a car two hours ago and am sitting in the office with no car. Why did they even bother picking me up?
While waiting, I am having the experience of listening to four staff members discuss student loan debt, buying new cars, and engagement ring purchases. Not my idea of professional service.

Horrible service! Just picked up a car this morning. They gave me a Toyota camry that had not been cleaned at all. The floors were not vacuumed, dash was dusty, and the outside of the car was scratched and extremely dirty. I mentioned this to Brandon who was handling my paper work. He had someone go spray the car off with nothing but water. Which does not clean the car at all. And he didn’t even have it vacuumed out. He seemed very irritated when I asked him to make notes of all the issues with the car and argued with me, but finally ended up writing all the stuff down. I had to go to a car wash and spend $ 20 to wash and vacuum the car. This enterprise rental location is absolutely unprofessional and lazy!

I recommended Enterprise, particularly this location, to my coworker who has not rented a car in a long time and was a little nervous about the process. She just returned to the office and gave me a high five, saying «Thank you for suggesting Enterprise! Josh rented me a car and was very helpful. the price was great and the car is cute. I will be renting more often now I know it’s that easy!» I will continue to recommend Enterprise, because they have the best staff and really take care of customers.

I have used Enterprise Rent-​A-​Car several times in the past year. They have always been very friendly and professional. The wait time for the car is pretty slow but I attribute that to the many people reserving cars and coming in at the busiest time. I feel sad for the employees as, each time I am there, there are people who claim they «had no idea there would be a $ 200 deposit on my credit card.» It says that when you reserve the car and all over the place in the office! Wake up people. I also feel for the employees because I hear «how about a free upgrade». Listen, if you wanted a bigger car, you should have reserved a bigger car! Everybody seems to want something for nothing. I, personally, appreciate that they are always ready with a vehicle for me and are very nice people to work with. That’s all!

This place is full of noobs. Called to reserve my car and to set up a pick up at work. Man said no problem and even asked for my location address. Clock out at work a half hour later no one has showed up. Called to see what up and they said the were a little late on pick ups and that it could be another hour. I had a co worker give me a ride. I get there and people are already waiting for cars. I check in and they say it will be another hour. At this point people are getting restless including myself. They were telling people that they overbooked, and sorry and a rehersed apology was all you got. This place closes early on Sunday and I asked if I would be charged extra if I didn’t get back before the doors close. She said no. Almost two hours pass before I did a wallk through with an employee. This is the time they upsell you there insurance. I declined respectfully. The employee continued to tell me what a bad idea it was even though my credit card and personal insurance policy covered the rental.
I returned the car at the same time I got it Sunday. Monday morning I see that my card was charged an extra day. I go in to ask why and this employee said it was because I did come back before they closed. I said I specifically asked and was told I wouldn’t be charged and extra day. This employee proceeds to tell me I am wrong and for «future reference» I needed to be back before they close. He reluctantly refunded my card. I asked him how do you charge people 3 days when I have the car for less than 48 hours? Or why you don’t proactivaly discount a persons rental when they drop the ball and are late in getting a car but will charge people late fees for bring a car back. I’ve had great experiences renting cars from different companys and even other Enterprise locations. This locations will not get my business.

I rent from this enterprises pretty regularly for work and personal use. My recent experience is by far the worst customer service I have received since doing business here. I reserved a car four or five days prior to the day I needed it. I get there day I needed my rental and was told it would be ready in a few minutes. Well over an hour later with no status updates I watch a number of people who came in after me get there cars! Eventually I finally get my car! What’s the point of reservations if my car isn’t there when I come to pick it up!

Very easy process when I logged in all my info online. Insurance covered it while my car was getting repaired. I was helped right away but didn’t end up liking the first car since the USB slot didn’t work. I went back and they gave me a different car without a problem. Staff is great to work with. Only complaint would be that the car stunk like someone had left food in it for a few days…

The regional manager, Ken, called me to talk about my previous Unilocal review and was very professional. He assured me that the folks at the Redding Enterprise are typically great and were having a difficult month being severely understaffed. I know what it’s like to work short-​handed, and surely we’re all human and have a finite amount of smiles per day. I still think that the lack of personal responsibility was a bit disappointing, but perhaps it was a one time thing. I’m willing to give them another shot in the future.

Horrible customer service! Everyone working there should be on the same page about what is needed to rent a car, sadly they are not. It was a waste of time and energy.

They were great to deal with! I had to rent a car after being involved in a car accident. Everyone at this branch was wonderful to work with. The car was great too!

Ok so when u overhear a clerk say they don’t want to be a car service in reference to picking up someone it is disturbing since their motto is we’ll pick you up. Every single time we rent from here they don’t require the gas tanks to be full. It is so irritating when you pick up a car and have to stop to fill it up just going to sacramento or Bay Area and you are on a tight early morning deadline.

I rented from them today… very professional and polite… got a ride back and forth to the auto shop very quickly… good rates… great place… very nice folks.

I’ve been using the Cypress Ave. location for years. They always take time to ensure that my discounts are in order so that I get the best rate. The cars are always clean and new. The staff there are professional and all pretty darn nice too. When on the east coast we have to use another company. They never compare to Enterprise.

Beware of Redding Enterprise. I had a reservation and when I arrived they did not have any car available in the class that I requested. When a car was ultimately located, the gas tank was on empty. I was told by the sales representative that they could fill it up and I could bring it back full or I could fill it myself and they would pay me back for any unused gas. When I returned the vehicle with ¼ tank of gas the representative gave me his business card and wrote «free ¼ tank.» I explained my desire to be reimbursed for the gasoline and he refused to do so. He was sorry but his policy did not allow for that. He went to his supervisor who confirmed his position. This was dishonest, beware.

Worst Enterprise I’ve ever dealt with. I rent all the time from Enterprise. It figures that my home branch is the worst. First, they didn’t have the car they rented me. That’s pretty normal for Enterprise, but they usually give you an upgrade and move you along. They tried to put me in a Kia Soul and tell me it’s an upgrade. In what universe? So, when I refused to drive their toaster/​go-​kart, they said they would find a car and wash it for me. 30 minutes later they produced a Jetta that was wet, but not even close to clean. It was filthy inside and out. They basically sprayed it with water and hoped I wouldn’t notice. I did.
Lastly, I returned the car at roughly the same time I rented it on a Saturday. They were not there, so I called it into the number and left the keys in the drop box. I do this all the time with Enterprise and it has never been a problem. Except for at this branch, they charged me for Sunday as well. When I called to complain, they said that because they weren’t open, they said they couldn’t «officially» check it in until they got there. Once again, I’ve never had a problem with it in the last 4 years and I rent a lot.
The assistant manager was not empathetic at all. Customer service is a foreign concept at the Redding branch. There are 3 other companies in Redding. I’m going to budget next time.

I rent cars from Enterprise on Cypress every couple of months. I’m always amazed at how quickly they move people through, and how streamlined the process is. I’ve never had a single problem — my car is always ready for me and I’ve never had any damage claims or hassles. I’ve always been treated with respect and kindness and the staff seems to go out of their way to be helpful.

I was not pleased with the service I received here. They were late to pick me up along with several other customers from Hild Collision. When renting my vehicle, the man behind the counter was neither friendly nor «enthusiastic» about his job. I paid for an upgrade to a Mid-​SUV just for the heck of it. When the salesman showed me my vehicle it wasn’t the model that I thought I was renting and it was pretty small for a mid-​suv. I told the man that I wasn’t thrilled, He looked at me like I was nuts and said that they have one other vehicle that would work (it was a POS in the corner of their lot). I was just ready to be done with the situation and took the feminine SUV that he gave me.
What made it worse was that I had just come from Hild where they have excellent customer service!
