I would have left a 5 star review prior to this event due to my other visits to your restaurant and visits to your events. Your staff was extremely rude to me as all I needed was a soft drink after already purchasing 2 meals and drinks about an hour earlier. The lady working the cash wrap grabs my card and looks at me and says I can’t charge 1 soda to your card you need to spend more money… at that point I had spent $ 36 on meals and iced teas plus 2 other cans of coke from your booth. Not only did she toss my card back to me but cracked my credit/debt card in the process

One of the better Mongolian Bbq places I’ve been to. Especially liked the thick soba noodles and the variety of sauces. We’ll be back.

My husband and I have nothing we can complain about. The staff was extremely helpful, efficient and friendly, the food was great and everything was very clean. Add to these a very reasonable price, nice atmosphere and you have a restaurant worth going to over and over for a date, with friends or business associates. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Really great food, and fun to pick your own ingredients as well as watch it being cooked. Great service, the little you need. A bit pricey, but not too bad. Only downside is the wait when it’s busy, takes forever to get through the line.

We have eaten here six times over the last 12 months. The food has always been excellent and fresh. Staff is always welcoming and friendly.

This place is really nice for selection for different flavors, and it’s the only Mongolian BBQ in town. However, why is it that during dinner you can’t take your second bowl home with you once it’s been made? What a waste of food, and money!

The business has a great idea and food and the waitresses did a fantastic job. So you ask why I only put 1 star? We had a very large group and we made it in time for the lunch prices, which means you only get 1 plate instead of the 2 plates for the dinner price. That leads me into my 1 star, besides the 3 alcohol drinks my wife and I had($ 8.00 each) we had only got 1 plate to share because we were kind of full and for some reason the owner felt the need to tell us we could not share a plate ! Mind you the entire meal came to over $ 300.00 plus tips, why would anyone feel the need to say anything to us after that kind of bill? So neadless to say they lost future business with a large family that does everything together! I guess a small business in Redding can afford to lose future sales.

What can I say I like this place! I get to make my own bowl and have fun while doing it! The owner is usually around and is super engaging with his customers.

I love this place so much! A great little Mongolian BBQ place for Redding. It is fun and family friendly. You get seated, order drinks, say if you want brown or white rice, and get up to fill a bowl up with fresh and delicious food. You get to stack your bowl up as high and full as you want. Meat selections vary from shrimp, beef, chicken, muscles, lamb, and bacon. They have a wide selection of vegetables. The best part is all the sauces they have to put in your bowl. They say sauce it up to make it delicious and they are correct! Food is cooked in front of you and is VERY hot. The service is dependent on who you get. It seems to be all girls working in there. Every time I’ve been I have had to ask for refils on drinks and wave them down. Some of the girls in there are good at what they do. The servers bring the rice right when you order so when you get it, it’s cold and a little dried out on top, and very chewy. I would give them 5 stars, but am giving 2 only because of their ridiculous price of ice tea, their specialty flavored tea, and soda prices and the inconsistent service. I was shocked to pay over $ 2 for plain iced tea. I was even more shocked to pay $ 4.50 for a flavored ice tea. There are no refills for the specialty tea. They reccomend it, but there are no prices! Yikes. They charge more for a flavored ice tea than they do for a beer. The flavored teas are delicious, but for that price, not so much. Ice tea is a cheap thing to make. That is way too over peiced, in my opinion. Make some at home for way cheaper than here. Overall, the food is good and you decide on what portion you want. I forgot to mention that it is pretty pricey. A dinner date for two, after the recommended specialty tea(which they tell you no price) and a one time round(if you want to have some left overs) is around $ 45.00! That’s pretty pricy for a dinner date of two. This won’t be a goto place for dinner dates due to the pricy menu. They are also hard to get ahold of if you have questions or concerns.

Delicious! My wife and I have come here for our date night a few times and always leave happy and full. You take your bowl and fill it up with all the thin meats, vegetables, noodles, and sauce you can fit in the bowl to have it cooked in front of you by the happy bro cooks. We always have a good time.

Kahunas’s instantly became one of our very favorite restaurants due to the great food and the fun experience. Even the kids enjoy it. * You get in line with your bowl and fill it with your favorite vegetables, your preferred protein be it tofu, surf or turf, and the delicious noodles if you’re having them(white or brown rice comes free with your meal served at your table). * Next is the sauce bar with a large variety of sauces to ladle onto your food. You can follow one of the creative combo recipes posted on the wall or use your imagination. Don’t skimp on the sauces as some of the liquid evaporates and some cooks into the food. * Now you’re ready to hand it all over to the grill warriors who work their magic on the huge grill. We always have a good experience service-wise and the food is just terrific.

The owner of Kahunas is awesome! She messaged me a day after my review and was very helpful and fixed the problem! Me and my brother went for lunch today and had a great waitress! Thank you Nina for you kindness as well as your staff. Much much better experience today. I would recommend this place to everyone I know!

Great little place! I really like the food, mostly because I get to hold my own sauce. I’m told that noodles are made in the restaurant daily-they’re pretty good. The food has been great each of the two times I’ve gone and the staff genuinely seem cool– like they enjoy working there. Overall, good stuff. The only reason for the 4 stars is the décor and the space its self seems to be the same drab Asian feel you see in a million other places– kinda lame and lacking something original. I’ll def be back! Gonna try the spicy sauce next!

One word… wow. This place is off the hook amazing. The piled high bowls of food that get freshly sizzled up on a big 4 foot Mongolian hot table. So damn fresh. The warrior cooks are funny and cool as well as awesome. I had«Thor» aka CJ he was the man. My wife and I had the opportunity to be served by another extraordinary employee… Barbara was so knowledgeable, welcoming, and cheerful. She was perfect from start to finish. My wife and I had never been here but we have found a new favorite spot to eat. The atmosphere was so relaxing, we chatted with other patrons while waiting for our food and met a few good people tonight. So a chill relaxing setting, funny welcoming staff, and awesome food… go now… and enjoy.

Yum! Yum! Yum! I love this place when forced to dine in Redding. It has a great selection of meats, veggies, and sauces. I was so happy to see that they offered cracking an egg on the final product too! Don’t forget to tip the cuties working the grill. They work hard!

A reason to visit Redding! From LA, Redding is just a well endowed gas stop, but this place makes it a mandatory stop on any trip up or down I-5. Friendly helpful staff, Ample selection of meat and veg. HUGESELECTIONOFSAUCES!!! including juices, spiced powders, and after cooking toppings as well. The well stocked wine and beer bar is a welcome plus.

My first time trying mongolian bbq! Our server Barbara was so sweet and helpful explaining the deets on how to make a bowl. I spilled a bit pouring the sauces but overall the food was DELICIOUS and well-done. I loved how juicy the mushrooms were. I also got the infused iced teas(I picked peach and pineapple) which they are known for and it was just the right touch — not too sweet but fresh with a cute faux flower to top it off. Definitely recommend this place if you ever come to Redding!

This place is awesome. We had the lunch buffet, which is a single pass through. I eat pretty good, so I was a little nervous about paying $ 10.99 for one pass. However, there was more than enough food. In fact, I easily took home a carton of leftovers. 2nd meal indeed. My wife had the lavender infused tea, which was a nice treat. She said it was really good. The service was good. Food was fast, ingredients were top notch, the beef was super tender, and they had about 20 sauces to choose from and another 20 spices. You can get what you want here. Try it. You’ll like it.
