Cranky Mike wasn’t that cranky but he gave my son(17) the best haircut he’d ever had(according to my son). He spent at least 45 minutes cutting and combing and clipping until Mike was satisfied that he had it just right. $ 17 for cut, $ 3 for tip = $ 20 and well worth it.

Best haircut in my life. Yes, the experience takes longer than a mall cut but Mike is an artist and a master at his craft. Great price, too!

Best place in town to get your ears lowered. This is the real deal — you could imagine Walt Kowalski or Popeye Doyle sitting down to wait while Mike finishes your haircut. Plus, Mike’s shop is so cool, I want to buy it «as is» and move in to use it as my office some day. If you get your haircuts at one of those discount shops in a strip mall, the experts advise you to get it done about a week ahead of any important bidness or social engagements that you might have on your Outlook calendar, so that that there’s time for your dome to recover from that«I-just-got-my-hair-butchered-by-a-retarded-crack-ho» look. But if that’s what you’re into, let the Jerry-Springer-Show reject at the strip mall hack at your hair with a hedge trimmer for five minutes, and spend the next few weeks looking like Jeff Daniels in «Dumb and Dumber.» With the $ 5 you save, you can ask your divorced-twice-with-three-kids-and-not-yet-25 haircutter out on a date to Hometown Buffet or Wal-Mart. Was that mean? Elitist, misogynistic, rabid-dog mean? Seriously, what the hell is wrong with me?
