great selection! but the store is unbarably hot during the summer. i will not shop there during summer months, was there a few weeks ago and both cashiers were drenched in sweat it was so hot. also they never have enough cashiers, they are busy and ways long lines, if there are really long lines and i just set my stuff down and leave. the area, the parking is also very skechy, i get tired of all the people asking for money as you are walking in. its in a bad location. if this store was in a better location, turned up the a/c, and hired a couple more cashiers i would go there all the time. alot of friends of mine have said they completely stopped shopping there because of the long lines.

I live 9 miles away from this store, Yes I ride a bicycle. I left Bestbuy and was heading home and decided to stop by the 99 cents store on my way home and placed my backpack by the front of the store as says on the front door. «ATTENTIONNOBACKPACKSBIKESORSKATEBOARDS Allowed in the store, All BACKPACKS must be left by the door at all times Or you will be asked to leave the store this ISNOTNEGOTIABLE And Applies to EVERYONE. ** 99 Cent only store ISNOT Responsible for lost or stolen items. If you want to keep it Leave it at home. ** And my backpack and my portable Hard drive I just bought @ bestbuy for College and my battery back up to my phone were stolen and the store will not do anything about it, I called the cops and they said there was nothing they could do, they looked at the Store Security video’s. No one saw anything. WTF !!! NEVEREVERWILL I EVERGOBACKINTHISSTORE !!!

I’d give zero stars if I could. This store is run down and dirty all the time. There’s people hanging out drinking and doing drugs in the corner and starting fights out side. The cashiers are rude but I expect that because they don’t make enough. The management has changed! It says 99 cents only BUT now there are things that are higher. A Xmas decoration was $ 2.00? Really. I could have gone to Wal Mart. Milk is $ 4. Eggs are $ 2. So much over 99 cents. Is false advertising because the sign still says EVERYTHING99 cents or UNDER! I’ll be going to dollar tree. Way nice. Way note clean and better products!

Been here a few times and let me just say that this is a great place to pick up decorative items for the upcoming special occasions — Halloween, Christmas, etc. After all, especially for those of us who’re watching our spending, who wants to spend a ton on things that will only be used for a short span of time? This place has a great selection(from everyday necessities to groceries and food products). Today I was able to find some great Halloween-themed items for my nephews. As for the checkout lines, they aren’t short but the wait isn’t bad during non-peak shopping times. I came here on a weekday afternoon for instance and the wait was just a matter of minutes, though I know the line gets longer later in the evening when people come here after work.

Rude head checker. 2 lines open. 5 customers deep. Don’t mind waiting when customer service is good. Smile goes along way!

We noticed this place on our way to K-Mart. It’s in the same shopping plaza. It helps to know prices — everything is 99 cents or less, so somethings are cheaper at the Grocery Outlet — then again — some things are a third of Grocery Outlet prices(Watermelons for 99 cents!) We found Naked Nuts Korn Nutz there — only other place I’ve seen them is in a shop in John Day, OR. Unlike normal cornnuts they can be eaten without destroying teeth — don’t know how they get them that way… We bought a buncha bags… They have a big produce section — a lot of it is a bit old(one needs to be selective) but for 99 cents for grapes, good-sized eggplants, etc., still a good price. We are adding this to our list of places to shop when we are in the Redding area.
