If you want quick, yummie, cheap Mexican food this is the place. The people who work there are so nice and always friendly. This is not fancy Mexican food but it does the job.

I was pretty grossed out when I saw an opened and used salsa package in our bag of food. I would almost give this place a 1 star but the lady that helped us was nice. The food was very mediocre when it comes to a Taco shop. I think Taco Bell would have been a better option if I wanted more authentic Mexican food.

Great Mexican fast food. No, you are not going to find authentic, taco truck style Mexican here… but this place far surpasses Taco Bell in every sense. Large portions and good for burrito cravings as they are yummy.

One star for convenience but the food is flavorless and out of the can type. Taco bell would be a huge upgrade or jack in the box’s tacos.

Manager and I got together and he assured me this is not how they do business. He will refund me and replace my meal. He’s a-ok. Thankyou for prompt responses and a quick fix.

My husband and I are addicted to their tacos! Real ingredients and taste like they’re home made!

I think I have an addiction to this place. It’s a far cry from authentic Mexican food but, when you’re on the hunt for some delicious and fast tacos, there’s no better place than the Taco Shop. The service here is always good and they usually get your food to you out pretty fast. My only gripe is the price. For as much business as they do, you’d think they could afford to match the price of other tacos in town. What are you waiting for?! Go grab a 10-pack of tacos.

Great people and great food. It is not a mexican restaurant, it just wholesome fresh food at a decent price. I have gotten sick each time I have ate at the Del Taco down the block, they are dirty. The taco shop food beats all fast food places on Cypress hands down. They make a very large veggie burrito for a $ 1.99! Their enchiladas have a savory flavored red sauce on them and they have a homemade hot sauce called rocket fuel. The crunchy chicken tacos with finely shredded cheese and lettuce are a hit with my family every time. It is fantastic food for the price and it’s not processed.

Good place to get regular tacos. Nothing fancy, just a good place to grab a 10 pack of tacos and for a fair price. Most places skimp on the meat and cheese, not here.

All the taco ships, this and Shasta lake are just not good. All the Mexican food in this town is white washed. Its just gross. The only thing I would get is a bean burrito. The tacos are too $$$. Go to del taco.

First time here. I was driving back home and wanted a taco. It is far from being authentic Mexican food, I’ve had much better. I paid $ 2.99 for a super soft taco with steak, which had lettuce, cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, olives, but hardly any steak. It was rather bland, needed some onions and cilantro and some decent salsa. The only hot sauce they have comes in little packets. If you are somebody who likes bland Americanized Mexican food, this is your place. I couldn’t imagine any self-respecting Latino eating here. P. S. — This is the first time I have ever been to a Mexican restaurant or taco place where every employee was white and spoke English. Kind of odd.

1st time here and feel they deserve a 5 on service alone! The young guy taking our order couldn’t have been nicer and the lady making our food took time to evenly distribute all the ingredients nicely: not thrown together like some Taco Bells do! The tacos are similar to a Taco Bell but with more of everything on them… and fresh cheese. They were very good :). Thank you for the great service & good, inexpensive tacos Not sure if this shop is owned by the same person as the one in Shasta Lake but couldn’t even get them to serve us at their drive thru there

I have no idea what these guys are talking about when they say the food is bland. These guys are the best fast food taco joint in Redding. I eat here about once a week. Their Chicken Taco Salad for around $ 6.00 is one of the best in town. The tacos are not spiced like a Taco Bell, but at least they don’t put saw dust in their meat like TB. The prices are pretty good. My 4 year old asks for Taco Shop by name and I don’t feel like I’m feeding him total garbage like they sell at TB. It may not be healthy, but it’s way healthier. Another great thing on the menu is the Chicken Quesadilla, which is really good and costs $ 3. If you go here, don’t get the sauce in the packets, they make their own hot sauce and it is the BOMB! If you try this sauce, I guarantee you will be back.
