This has been my go to homebrew supply store for some years now. I’ve have always been impressed by the knowledgable staff and competitive prices. Jay builds some of the best false bottoms I have ever seen(check out jaybird false bottoms on homebrewtalk). Ingredients are fresh and well stocked. From the beginning I could rely on these guys to help me perfect my recipes and they always seem to have something tasty around to share with me. Recently I moved to the bay area and with more options at my grasp I have yet to be swayed(though I allowed a number of shops the opportunity). If you are considering jumping into the obsession of brewing beer there is no better place on the west coast than this shop(custom equipment, hardware, ingredients, books, advice, etc.)! Jay, Victor, and crew you are awesome. Consider me a loyal customer for life. Cheers

We are located over the hill on the coast, and we enjoy coming over to this brew shop. They always have what we need and the owners and staff are always helpful and knowledgable. It’s a great shop! They have a great assortment of pretty much everything you could be looking for. An awesome stop for any home brewer!

Just as an update… Citra hops are amazing, and they now have 2 ounce packets from freshops. Yuuum. Also, liquid malt, which i’m gonna use for a batch of stout.

As the only homebrew shop in Redding this place is nice. The owners and staff are very friendly and offered great advice about places to find beer around town. For the inexperienced homebrewer this is a great place to start, but for experienced homebrewers the selection of ingredients is limited. There are the usual supplies of bottles, hops, barley, carboy’s, etc. Where I find fault with this little shop is the fact that there is no liquid malts, only dry. While I understand that dry malt has a better self life and is cheaper in bulk, liquid malts are the preferred method of brewing beer. In fact in the last seven years of brewing beer, over eight different states and in two breweries, I have never been to a homebrew supply store and not found liquid malt. I hope that the homebrew store keeps up the good work and relax and have a homebrew.
