Excellent, traditional style street tacos. Place your order at the counter, and they deliver your food to the table. Salsa bar has a good variety of options, and is fresh. Horchatta is good, and not gritty/powdery. My 2nd favorite place for tacos in Redding.

Thier vegetarian breakfast burrito is the most filling and satisfying vegetarian meal I have ever had. Their salsa bar with homemade relish and goodies is awesome too. Nice authentic food.

Absolutely delicious. My new go-to for Mexican food in Redding. Unfortunately, this place is very easy to miss. I’m so glad I finally checked it out. Very authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price.

Their California burrito is amazing! I get it with al pastor meat and it is to die for. I also have gotten their soft tacos al pastor and those were delicious as well. The food is great, but the prices are steep. It was $ 9 for my California burrito and the tacos are $ 2+! That’s ridiculous! I have found that tacos are very expensive up North. I don’t understand why. I’ve never seen them over $ 1.75 down South.

This little joint is amazing! Amazing food and the staff is so refreshingly friendly. I’ll be hitting this spot every time I come through Redding.

I just ate the yummiest burrito that I’ve had in a long time! To me, it was the perfect burrito. There were just the right amounts of all the ingredients. I got the super burrito with al pastor. Ooooh my gosh it was soooo good!!! The al pastor is bomb! They have a great salsa bar and all the salsas are good! The staff was friendly and even though it was busy they made our food quickly. I will definitely be coming back!

Food was pretty good, but not very hot/warm due to serving on plastic and not having preheated plates. Environment was disappointing. Servings could have included lighter items like lettuce and tomato and some guacamole and sour cream would have been nice. A side order of sour cream was over priced. The only salsa available was very spicy/hot; nothing available for those of us who cannot tolerate too much heat. We are not anticipating returning in the near future.

The carnitas tacos are amazing! I love all the different salsas they have as well. It’s always packed whenever I go, which is a great sign! Can’t beat the price either. The gals that work up front are always very nice as well!

The best carnitas tacos in town. I’ve tried EVERYWHERE. Seriously, these are the bomb. They have good hours, who doesn’t crave tacos at 9am?, they’re affordable and always super friendly. The salsa bar is amazing. I get my tacos without salsa and divvy up my own. Love the salsa verde on mine and half pico/half mild with my chips!

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Redding, we eat here 4 – 5 times a month. I wish they made sopes, but everything is excellent.

They make everything to order so they are very accommodating for dietary restrictions. Friendly staff. Don’t come here if you searching for beautiful décor or ambience, but the delicious food makes up for it!

I’m from Mexico City, so believe me when I say the food here is delicious! I had the chile relleno with beans, rice, tortillas and a natural watermelon agua fresca for $ 10 after tax. They also have a great selection of Mexican sodas.

Being from San Diego, I have very strong feelings on what a California burrito should be. I was tired and had checked in to the hotel across the street and decided I would settle for this because it was close. Wow! I was shocked to find the California burrito to be very solid. It had a little more cheese then I am used to, but it is the best Caius burrito I have had north of camp Pendleton. The girl behind the counter was also very friendly and helpful, which is always a plus. I would highly recommend this place!

I was on my way to the office and really wanted something to sustain me for the day. Thought I’d take a stop at a sandwich joint around the corner. Thank God they were closed because I finally got to try this little taste of heaven. I asked for a carne asada torta, a lovely and inventive sandwich that looks like the prima of a hamburger. I beheld her glory in all that she was, crispy melt-in-your-mouth potato bread with perfectly seasoned meat, crisp lettuce, fresh tomatoes, sour cream and guac. She was the size of my face(which is saying something) for around $ 7. I poured salsa all over her and then consumed that poor torta as though I would never eat again. I’m going to be dreaming of this delicious sammy for days. Just fantastic.

Their carne asada burritos seem to be their specialty… Don’t branch out. Clean friendly environment, great salsa bar.

I give both locations 5. These guys got it goin on for great mexican food in Redding… period. When my wife and I want mexican food, no matter where we are, we drive here. When someone asks me where to get good mexican food in town I send them here. I have had all kinds of items from there menu and they are all great, not all equally great to me, but great… My order religiously is: Three tacos(hefe style where they melt jack cheese in between the tortillas) 1 lengua(beef tongue) 1 el pastor(bbq pork) 1 polo esado(grilled chicken) The pickled veg is as fresh as it gets, the salsas are off the hook mixed together, the radish is much appreciated, lime if you want a squeeze and cold cerveza. It doesn’t get better in Redding. Go to Gordos when you want awsome mexican food. If you are like my family and I you will compare all other mexican restaurants to this one whenever you make a mistake and go elsewhere.

I’ve been driving by this hole-in-the-wall for years and finally went in and tried their food just the other day. Oh my gosh. This is by far the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten and I’ve eaten a lot of Mexican food. Favorite cuisine right here. I’m freaking hooked!!! I’m having cravings for Los Gordos day and night. I WANTITNOWBUTTHEY’RECLOSED(insert sad face here)!!! Try it, you’ll love it. They also have the best chips and verde salsa EVER! Nom, nom, nom.

It’s not rocket science. It’s a taco. And at Los Gordos, they are delicious. I hoped the tongue would be what tongue can be– tender, but no worries. People say the Churn Creek location is better. I, for one, have yet to determine why. I think they are equal.
