Great omelettes, been coming here off and on for years. Only off sometimes due to distance. Always dependably good food. The crêpe style omelettes in particular, truly light and airy. They have some very interesting themes. Spanish, deli, etc… Very tasty. If your in the neighborhood due your buds a flavor… your taste buds that is… Heck if your not in the neighborhood, GET in the neighborhood.

There are a few times in my life that I just ate something because I was so famished from waiting for my food to arrive. This establishment has a great reputation… however I saw no such thing on my visit. This is a small quant diner and the limited square footage alone should push for timely service. The meal using lack of a better word was horrible and so was the service.

Can’t believe I found a new independent omelette shop I hadn’t heard of before! Became acquainted with Gest Omelettes with a little always insightful guidance from some of my fellow Unilocalers from the Metro area. Thank you so much! While sipping some hot coffee I reviewed the menu and confirmed what I learned on Unilocal — Gest offers omelette sin three different sizes. I was particularly drawn to the«crêpe» style(smallest) because I am more about the ingredients than I am the eggs themselves. After refilling my cup with a second cop of Joe from the pot they deliver to each table, I asked my server about the most popular omelette a on the menu. She quickly recited the Western, the Deli, the Southern and the Popeye. With a smile, I ordered the Polish complete with kielbasa, green onions, ‘shrooms and Swiss cheese. Hash brows come on the side along with the unique touch of shredded lettuce with sour cream. I went for the fence with additional sautéed onions and rye toast to fill up my table. Great B’fast! This place is pumping on all cylinders. The food rated a 9.5, the service a 9 and the overall atmosphere an 8-plus depending on which tunes were playing on the radio in the background during my visit… kick it up to 9.5 when Eric Clapton took over with a bluesy ballad. Nice…very nice experience on a sunny November morning.

Although the food is generally good, last Sunday, we were part of a group of six people. We gave our name and waited – and waited. It required two tables to be put together, but the hostess in at least three instances, ignored that requirement and kept giving the tables for four to people whom she addressed by name; I guess having returning customers has priority over a reasonably fair system. How insulting! Her attitude of ignoring us is demeaning to her and us. Mark H.

My girl friend & I wanted to meet up for lunch and she convinced me to try something other than the standard IHOP. This place was your typical mom & pop dive diner, décor is outdated menus are old but the food is delish! I got a mountain of real homemade hash browns, two large pancakes & two even larger sausages. My bill came out to a whopping $ 5.30, and yes I had to pay the $ 0.50 debit card use charge but so what, for the amount of food & friendly service is the $ 0.50 charge really going to kill you? No. You need to be able to appreciate the diner for what it is, the quality of service & portion sizes of food to enjoy yourself here. It’s not going to look like your Typical bob Evans or IHOP& if you ask me it’s better that way. The building has character & so did our waitress. We’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I stopped in here yesterday for breakfast because we were hungry and I didn’t want Burger King. I was scared to go in when I saw all the cooks and dishwasher outside picking up cigarette butts, and trash with their hands though. My husband convinced me anyways and we went inside. The first thing I smelled was old restaurant, you know the kind where a lot of people used to smoke inside and the smell still lingers years later. Everything was very outdated and just felt old. Oh and if you want to use a credit card you have to pay $.50, the sign on the counter says the policy was updated in 2008. We sat down and were brought the menus which I have to say, had some amazing breakfast specials. I got the French toast with bacon for $ 3.50 and my husband got some super breakfast for $ 5.95. The food was good, not life changing or even fantastic, but not good enough to give a rave review. I used the restroom before I left and the dark slasher movie feel I got had me knowing I would never return. I didn’t have high hopes for the place but was still disappointed. You won’t miss anything if you don’t stop.

I wasn’t sure what to expect given the mixed reviews, but this place was pretty good! I ordered the western crêpe style omelette(crêpe style comes with hashbrowns!) and coffee. The coffee came out in a carafe, which for those of you that like coffee as much as I do, you know how awesome that is. It wasn’t great coffee, but the fact that it was right there in mass quantities made up for that. The omelette came out quickly and I was happy with the thinness of it. I really dislike thick and fluffy omelettes because they typically are way too much food and don’t taste all that much like eggs. This was nice and thin and stuffed full of cheese, minced ham, peppers, mushrooms, and green onion. The sauce that came on it wasn’t to my liking, so I just scraped it off to the side. The hashbrowns on the side weren’t grated, but thinly sliced and nice and crispy like I requested. The rye bread was also pretty good and actually tasted like rye. My only complaint was actually my server. She didn’t come to my table for a while when I got there, and she never came to check on me, but it’s not a terribly big deal. One other thing that perturbed me slightly was the fact that they charge 50 cents to run a credit card. I guess I’ll remember to bring cash if I come back.

Consistently delicious. I’ve been going here since I was a kid and not much has changed. The food is always good. The«Popeye» omelette is my favorite. If you don’t like a big fluffy omelette make sure you order crêpe style. That is also the only way you get hash browns without ordering them on the side. Omelettes comes with lettuce on the side so if you don’t think that would be something you would like, you can order it without. The potatoes are really good and they have the best coffee around as far as diners go. My favorite waitress is Kari. She always has smile and is very friendly.

I hadn’t been to this restaurant in a few years. Unfortunately for the restaurant there are new owners who do not believe in customer service. I waited 45 minutes for my order…45 minutes!!! The food was not nearly as good as the previous owners, and when I complained about my food the owner told me their was nothing he could do for me. The previous owners were very kind, hard-working and it was always a pleasure to go there. Now, it is definitely not worth the drive. I would never go there again. There are plenty of other restaurants that care about their customers and cater to their satisfaction.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, Food is always great! I have noticed the last year that service has gone way down hill. I was there during the lunch hour and there were only a few people in the restaurant. I’m on a special diet for my health and requested a hamburger patty grilled on flat top(no oil), fresh tomato slices, and orange slices. I had an ice tea no sugar. Bill came to over $ 9.00. I could have a full dinner for less than that. If you are looking for good omelettes and service isn’t so important, this is your place. But I will never go back.

My husband and I used to visit this restaurant years ago. But we moved further away so we stopped going. He recently saw them listed on a top breakfast restuarants list, so we decided to go back. The food was the same. That’s a good thing. Consistent. I ordered the Popeye Omelete made with egg whites. This came with a side of Bearnaise sauce. I also ordered a side of crispy hashbrowns. And they were prefect! Even though it’s been years since we’ve eaten here, it would be that long before we return again.

Granted, I had a no cholesterol omelette, but it was crappy. This place is nothing special. Only reason I ate here is because I’ve been driving by it for years and had it on my «list».

The food here is great. Everything else leaves little to be desired. Unless you’re a regular do not expect a friendly greeting or any pleasantries. The lettuce on the side is weird, but sometimes you have to be unique. Then again if you’re going to do that, make sure the lettuce isn’t brown and soggy. WARNING: If you like cream in your coffee, be sure to ask for the creamer from the fridge!!! They keep real milk creamer warm and out on the tables and it is often spoiled!

I saw the sign and thought it read«Best Omelets». Then I thought to myself«wow that’s a bold proclamation». So my wife and I decided to give it a try. If the name of the business was actually«Best Omelettes», they would have been sadly mistaken. If they would’ve named the business«ehhh, that wasn’t the worst omelet I ever had but far from a good omelets«. That would be a more accurate name.

This is one of my go to breakfast spots whenever I’m in town to visit my family. There is only one dish I’ve ever had here, so I cannot comment on anything else, but the eggs and kielbasa are outstanding! I recommend getting 2 eggs over easy, so you can dip the kielbasa in the yolk. I love how they split the kielbasa in half and sear the insides. It brings out so much flavor! The staff is friendly and you get service with a smile.

Friend advised about the place so we decided to go. Surprised found a seat when walked in the door on a Sunday at 10 since it is known for breakfast. Place knows what they do and they so it well as theplace is not fancy but was clean. Ordered the southern omelette which was great. They do have 3 sizes and be aware for the medium is plenty big enough and that is the one I choose. The large I did see someone order and all can say is be prepared for a to go box. All in all everything was perfect and at under $ 10 with beverage value is great.

My parents were raving about this place so I had to check it out. The menu looked awesome and I was really excited about the Greek omelette because it came with gyro meat, feta and olives. When I got it it seemed like the meat was just ground beef. It was still really good, but I was kind of disappointed that it wasn’t what it said it would be. Their rye toast is excellent. The coffee was kind of cold. The hash browns were good. The service was fast and the waitress was attentive and she was funny.
