Planet Fitness – Redford

This facility rocks! This location is huge, brand spanking new and sparkling. I love the layout very spacious and non cluttered. Seperate massage and tanning areas. I really love that they have mini lockers in the main foyer for those who don’t need to use the locker room and are just coming in for a quick workout.
This location also has a water bottle fill station which many locations do but not all. Tons of cardio equipment and weights as well as the thirty minute circuit. A super friendly staff, very welcoming.
I really like this facility. I’ve visited three times now and it’s never been very busy. A great addition to the area.

I love this location. Clean and friendly great equipment. Plus I can go in the middle of the night. They are 24 hours totally awesome.

First of all, I love new anything! As you enter it has a complete different feel, because everything is new, clean, unique floor plan layout and that modern feel. I was taken back by the new «black card» lounge, think it’s a great idea for the ones who usually sit around (in the way) and chat with friends or are on that annoying loud phone call. Its in a open room as you enter, followed by more secluded rooms, the tanning area and the «black card» massage area.
Not too many people were working out, I’m sure it’s because it was the second day it was open. It will be a matter of time before that place is packed! Roger the fitness instructor was helpful with anyone having questions on what machines are best for what you’re trying to improve on.
I downloaded the LFConnect app which is on every machine there, it logs your workout routine. It’s a great app to have when you have a goal to reach.
Let me finish by adding the staff were friendlier than the other locations I have attended. The downside, the tv/​radio remote on the treadmills, by circle and elliptical will be installed shortly. No complaints here because reading the captions definitely got my mind off the pain my body was in!

Well… well… it looks like I have a new favorite place now. And guess what — THEY ARE 24 HOURS location! Those moments you can’t seem to fall asleep — boom problem solved.
The place was very big with new machines available and customer service representative was very nice as well. I was already enrolled online so membership card only took 5 mins along with a quick picture for their computer system.
I did ask the question: if I’m not a black card holder, then I can I pay for the usage of message chairs only? I’ll follow up with the answer shortly.
