I saw a fly on the top donut tier so decided to skip that level. Saw a live pincher bug baby crawling around with other dead flying and crawling bugs. When I saw that I told him and he said sorry but the donuts were still there an hour later. Who knows what is going on in the back. This place needs some help it used to be so good idk what happened

Their breakfast sandwiches are SOYUMMY and the egg rolls are phenomenal for a snack, and a great deal! Our favorite spot in Redlands. And everyone is always very very friendly and welcoming. Love it here !

Came in for a afternoon snack. Tried the homemade eggrolls, they are huge & delicious. The buttermilk custard donut was the best ive ever had. Will definately be back.

I am a big fan of donuts. It seems like a lot of donut shops make a pretty generic similar donut. This place is much better than that. Donuts taste fresh. The people running it are friendly and prices are reasonable. The powdered sugar cream filled one is my favorite.

Good Bobba Thai ice tea and donuts. Staff is really friendly. Ham and cheese croissant is ok, I waited here while getting my pants tailored a few doors down and I would come back if I’m in the area.

This is probably my favorite donut shop, that’s because I’ve tried many but only go to Mr. j’s for over 20 years. I come from a family that owned snowflake donuts in Houston, Texas and can honestly say there’s nothing as great as a fresh donut in the morning with hot coffee. I can always ask and if he is out they will make it for me. Also they have the greatest egg rolls in the world home made if you haven’t tried them it’s a must. I would like to thank the owners for all they do for there customers, when you walk in it’s like walking into your home family, Thanks for all! Hope you stay another 20

Been coming for over a decade. Nothing’s perfect, but they’ll fix it if you tell them. Reviews above claiming that they’ve been coming for 20 years and complaining about one bad experience? Get real. That would be a False Flag. J’s the safest and most down to earth donut shop in the area.

We have been coming to this shop for 20+ years top three point where the owner know my name, remember my brothers and parents and have never received such disgusting donuts. Hopefully the next time we will get donuts that are as fresh as we are used to. As hard as it is to find an authentic mom and pop shop I’ve loved this place and the atmosphere. i would hate to look for a new donut shop because I always feel like family here.

A small family owned business that provides friendly and prompt service. They have a wide selection of foods besides donuts at very good prices. Definitely worth stopping by to check out!

This is easily the best donut shop in Redlands. They taste great and don’t come back to haunt you. My wife has been going here since she was a kid. We come down from Yucaipa, since they are the best. I like their cake donuts and old fashioned, and my wife likes their filled donuts. I usually don’t like filled donuts, but I will eat them here.

My go to place for donuts in the area. I always find myself craving donuts at random times so I’m glad this place is close by and open late. I’ve never been disappointed with a donut from here. Soft, fresh, tasty, and CHEAP. The people who work here are VERY kind and friendly. No reason not to go here to get your donut fix.

My first Unilocal review! I keep meaning to review places — very nice and helpful of those who have, and I just never get around to it. So, the ‘fifth’ star was for«service,» which is not like it sounds. But first: Nice donut place, not too small, good atmosphere for what it is. I got some cake donuts and a maple bar — generally good donuts, satisfied my craving. Fresh. Sweet. Just greasy enough(cuz you know, sometimes a donuts are just way too greasy — not the case here! They also have awesome breakfast sandwiches that remind me of NYC — but I came at 6pm so I didn’t get one. AND they have eggrolls! Beautiful-looking egg-rolls, but again, didn’t get one cuz I’m vegetarian. But the fifth star? Not just the genuine smiling man(Mr. J perhaps?) who was patient and served me my awesome donuts — but also the man’s «service»! He kindly, without comment, gave me two donut holes with my order, gratuitously. I’ve never seen it in the states before(in Korea they call it «sa-bis,» as in «service»). I’m not saying other shops should start doing this necessarily, but it definitely made my day.

Pros: Best jelly filled donuts in town and a really friendly family owned shop. Cons: Occasional homeless people hanging out in the front outside. They don’t really bug you, but still.

After traveling to 3 different donut shops, Mr. J’s was the only place with glazed donuts on a Saturday evening!

It’s rare to find the little mom ‘n pop 24hr donut shop these days. The staff is friendly, and their donuts and cream puffs are delicious! I recommend stopping by early in the morning rather than a late night snack… if you want fresh donuts. Later in the day, sometimes those donuts have been sitting there for a while. Oh, and how did I know that this place would be good? Early in the morning, saw plenty of cop cars and postal trucks parked outside.lol.
