I just have to say that Dr. Britney Kaufman is a great dermatologist. One of the best out there and she is all about helping out with what’s best for you! The staff here at this location also is very helpful, especially Jackie! Had a problem with my insurance(shocking) needing paperwork before medication got approved and Jackie took time out of her busy morning to help me with this situation, she definitely went above and beyond what she had too to help me out. If you’re looking for a great dermatologist with a helpful staff, you need to check this place out, I’m glad I did!

My daughter received a referral to Pacific Dermatology Institute for her acne. Our appointment was for 10:00 a.m. on June 10, 2015. We arrived at 9:50, completed all paperwork by 10:00 a.m., then sat down to wait. At 10:20 I asked the receptionist if we would be called back soon, that my daughter had to be out of there at 11:00 for a final at school and that it was not a good first impression for a new patient. She assured me my daughter would be out of there by 11:00. We were not called back until 10:30. When I asked why the wait was so long I was told there were no rooms available. When I asked how a 10:00 a.m. appointment could already be running so late I was not given any explanation. I was told there was one patient ahead of us. We finally left the room at 10:45 still not having been seen(we literally heard the doctor just going into the room with a patient to be seen ahead of us so I knew we would still be waiting a long time). I then had to wait again in order to get a refund of my co-pay. Two different times I stated that I would be contacting Kaiser to complain about how they treat their patients and they didn’t seem concerned at all. This is completely unacceptable treatment of patients. My guess would be that they double and triple book assuming that patients will not complain and their concern is more about making money than patient care. My poor daughter was stressed out about the possibility of missing her final and extremely disappointed that her acne issues would not be addressed.
