I have been frequenting Redlands Thrift since my husband and I moved to the area two years ago. I have always been satisfied with the store as it’s selection is large and there’s always something to search for. I visit this location at least once or twice a month, either just to browse or to look for something specifically. On my last visit, I purchased about a dozen or so frames with the idea to use a coupon I had received. It was my own fault for not reading the fine print on the coupon, and I realized I could not actually use it towards my purchase. That is totally fine however and I completely understood that. However, I only had so much cash on me and could not afford to purchase the full amount of frames I had initially rang up. I did have some cash on me though and as I didn’t want to leave empty handed I asked if I could just cut my order in about half and pay with what I did have on me. The cashier kind of sighed and said something along the lines of «Sure, but I’ll have to get my manager to override the register and I have to start over.» This has happened one time before months ago, and I felt bad as I know it’s an older system and things have to be restarted manually(I have also been told in the past by one of the employees that it goes against them when they have too many of those which also made me feel guilty for my mistake but I also didn’t do it maliciously), so I apologized. The manager came over and the cashier explained what needed to be done and they started talking amongst themselves(while I was still standing there at the counter) and the manager said to her«At least it wasn’t a full $ 100 transaction you had cancelled on you. I had a lady do that earlier, I wanted to smack her.» and they kind of just agreed with each other and laughed it off. I couldn’t believe they were talking badly about a customer, while I, another customer, was guilty of the very thing they were talking about. I just stood there and apologized again. They cancelled my order, re-rang me up. I paid, and left. There was absolutely no amount of customer service shown whatsoever. I understand my request caused a few extra steps but to blatantly show how unhappy it made you, as the employee, to have to do and THEN speak badly about customers like myself with your coworker — in front of me — is just unacceptable and I was so disappointed with the employees for this to have happened. I understand needing to vent sometimes about the day-to-day interactions with your customers — but if you must, do it behind closed doors — not in front of customers who are clearly sorry that they caused any extra work to you. I am only one person and I know my decision to not patronize Redlands Thrift anymore will not effect them negatively, but I did want others, and management, to know that this experience happened, and a favorite local place of mine here in my new hometown is one I will make sure not to frequent anymore.

I was so excited to find this place, huge, thrift store, love. But so disappointed, I should have read some of these reviews before I got my hopes up. WAY over priced, $ 3 empty bottles? Used baby food jars $ 1? Vases and picture frames more expensive than new at a dollar store. Craft supplies totally better bought from Goodwill or Salvation Army. Auction area in the back looked neat, but very probably not worth my time. I took this picture of $.99 tea lights in a holder, they were USED tea lights and previously marked from pic n save for $.19…how many years ago was pic n save around? And $.19 new. Whatever guys.

Whoa?! Holy awesomeness! !! This place is legit! HUGE! It goes on forever! Tons and tons of items. Seriously I am a thrift store goddess, a true regular in the area and I just stumbled on this one. I am super happy I did. This place has it ALL! Toys, appliances, furniture, clothes for days, shoes, purses, lawn equipment, little tikes items, patio furniture. So much to look at and hunt through. I don’t know why there’s bad REVIEWS or hardly any reviews. I’m not one of those thrifters looking for vintage stuff for cheap to flip, maybe that’s why. I just love going somewhere unexpected and walking out with treasures at a great price. Simple and easy. I could spend the day here, although during summer days I’d probably melt. There’s no air or hardly any that I could feel, it is like a warehouse so I didn’t expect much. Plus this place has a auction gallery and auctions. Its great, a must stop on the local thrift circuit. I’ll be back!

I take auctions very seriously. This thrift store is filthy and unorganized. I should have noticed the red flags before I decided to invest my time on one of their auctions. I was given incorrect information as to the time I would be able to make a final bid on a silent auction. I scheduled my time appropriately to make a bid at the end of the auction. When I returned, they were closed. I should have known a dumpster disguised as a «store» had no business dealing auctions.
