Our server, Josh, was great and food was good. Not what we expected after seeing the reviews

Try to find another place to eat! This Applebee’s has the worst service ever — not due to wait staff but because of poor management planning. Even though there was an event at the adjacent fairgrounds, where it wouldn’t take a genius to figure out this would result in more customers, the management failed to bring in more than four (that I saw) servers. The poor waitress serving us was tending bar for the entire restaurant plus waiting tables in the bar area (which was full) plus doing carry out. And although clearly overworked with many upset customers, she managed to project a very professional image.
I’m glad the Applebee’s in my town is much better.

Worst service I have ever witnessed! First off, we notice that the place was only half full and the tables that weren’t occupied had dirty dishes from the last people seated. We picked a seat, then waited for about 15 min to get a menu. Then we ordered 2 sodas, the sodas got to our table 10 min later. After that we waited 20 min longer to order, after ordering a salad, wings, and fries, we waited another 30 min with no food in sight, we eventually just paid cash on the table for our soda and left. Oh ya, in all that time waiting for our food, all those tables around us were never even touched. Plates and glasses still sitting dirty. I will never ever do this again.

Sorry to say we live in the neighborhood, and once again we left after 20 minutes waiting for just a drink order. headed to A great establishment, Timbers for a fine meal! Management had better get a clue or else another closed for biz… Don’t waste your time or money on this depressing place!

Food was good… service was very slow– the servers seemed very stressed and we realized when we got home that we were charged for an extra dinner. We will not be back.

I went again for lunch. I believe I have waited so long for the food and check. My steak became a aged sirloin. Sad thing was there were only 5 tables occupied.

Once again this Applebees sucks. went to dinner with my nephew and his family my burger was dry as could be. The appetizers that came out was barely warm at best. When i was getting ready to pay the tab I was counting out cash then handed my debit card to the waitress and it seemed like she was disappointed that I was paying with my card. Service here is extremely slow drank my beer and was never offered a refill. I’m thinking aloha to this Applebees forever!

Avoid the Spinach & Artichoke app, its generic tortilla chips and some sort of flavorless goop. Sriracha shrimp had good flavor but ranged (on a single piece) from soggy with sauce to dry and unseasoned. Boneless chicken is dry and bland on the inside. All dressings are watery. Mozzarella sticks are decent. Mac & cheese was rubbery and overseasoned. A soda is somehow $ 3. Steak was chewy and overcooked. Riblets were basically just sauce & bones.
Service is horrendous. Waitress took our order and then disappeared for 45 minutes. It takes 30 minutes to see your appetizers, drinks sit empty for 20 minutes at a span, bring your own water because you’ll never see a refill on that. The folks who brought out our entrees neglected to include the sides. When I approached the hostess and asked for my check it took 15 minutes for it to show up. The lady who said «I’ll be your cashier» promptly vanished.
20 minutes after eating our meal my whole family got sick.
I thought maybe the one Applebee’s we had been to before was an aberration. Surely a chain this massively popular can’t be universally bad. And I was wrong. Both of the locations we’ve been to have been just BAD BAD BAD all the way across the board. I literally cannot think of one positive thing to say about Applebee’s.

While visiting my 79 yr. old Mom and 80 yr. old Dad in Redmond on 10÷17÷15, (I live in WA) my parents took my sister and I to Applebee’s. I’ve been to one in Olathe, KS and in Beaverton, OR where food and service were great. The prime rib we ordered was cooked per our orders, but the veggies were way too lightly steamed. My complaint is the extremely poor service. It didn’t take long to be seated, and our orders taken, and our food served. The problems were as follows: 1) Taking 15 mins. to bring my sister her additional sour cream she requested. 2) When we were ready to leave, it took over 20 mins. to flag someone down to at least acknowledge that we were ready for the check. This young male apologized for the wait, with the EXCUSE that the waitress was very, very busy this Saturday night. We got tired of waiting 10 mins. later, with my 80 yr. old dad sitting on the seat of his walker waiting to pay at the register. He had dialysis that day, and was extremely exhausted. At this time my sister assisted my mother, with her walker, out to the car. I flagged down a waiter/​server/​someone not doing anything to ask if the manager was here tonight. He said yes, and I said if the waitress/​servers were so busy, that this is the time for management to step up to help. The guy finally brought up the check, Dad signed it, and only paid $ 10 for the waitress, because of the poor service. NO ONE came to check us out with the payment!!! You’d think they’d want to be paid! Dad tossed the signed receipt at the register, and we left, with all four of us stating how good the prime rib was, but with very, very poor service. My brother had recommended us to this place, saying it was the best food in town. He lives in Redmond. He was almost right about the food, but the service was pathetic! Never saw anyone that resembled a manager! I graduated from O.S.U. in Food Systems Management and General Dietetics (Dietitian). Dad said he’d never go there again. He died 18 days later. I wish we could have had a more positive and memorable last dinner out with Dad. I told him before he passed that I would put a review up on Unilocal!I’m honoring my Dad with this honest review.

Wow, this was the worst Applebee’s we have every been in. The ones in Wiscinsin are so much better both in service and food. Wonder if corporate has been in this place lately?
If they don’t change this place will close soon.

Food was fantastic. Had the Triple Hog Dare You. It was pulled pork, ham, bacon. Only thing wrong was the service was very slow. Seemed like they were short on staff but counted 5 people working. Took for ever to get refills and the check. Great food!!!

Was at a nearby hotel Super 8 for a three night stay. First night, called ahead for a pick up and I walked over to get my food. 50 mins later I finally got my food, my order was lost and my food was on the house, thank goodness!) I thought that for my last night here, it might be better. I ordered online instead for a pick up. Soup, salad and garlic potatoes. Super simple. Walked over in the freezing cold and got a beer while I waited. I was given a bag of food that wasn’t my order. Gave it back, got my order then walked back in the cold to my hotel room, where I found I had no dressing for my salad. Walked back again, got dressing then I realized I was given no utensils… LAME! The staff was nice, but…

To be honest we had very low expectations for this place, based on the reviews and also on the general reputation of Applebee’s. My dad is a veteran and so we decided to take advantage of their wonderful special to provide a free meal to veterans. The food was actually really good. The Bourbon Steak was tender and juicy, not the dried up mediocre steak I was expecting. My dad’s burger was apparently «really delicious» as well. Mom got the ribs and they were a bit dry but the sauce was decent and she enjoyed her meal as well. The service, which I’d read was terrible, WAS GREAT. Super friendly wait staff. The food came out quickly even though they were PACKED. A pleasant evening indeed. At Applebee’s of all places! Strange, but you won’t find us complaining! We may even head back one of these days for a bite.

We ask for a window seat to enjoy the beautiful day. Instead of clearing the booth by the window they cleared the table in-​between the windows. A few minutes after being seated a group of women were sat by the window seat and the waitress ask if the would like the blinds closed. They said yes. Nice. Then we waited 15 minutes for for a appetizer that wasn’t so appetizing. We order a burger with no ketchup and cheddar cheese instead of American. When we get are burger of course are burger has American. So we send the burger back telling her we wanted cheddar
She comes back a few minutes later and says it does have america. So we have to tell for a third time no we want cheddar and when its returned to us for the third time they scraped off the american and most of the topping we paid extra for and on top of it they add ketchup. The service was horrible. Even though we were polite about the situation and WE apologize she mad it very obvious she was irritated. I always love this place and I’m very sad I had this experience. I think it will be a while before I go back.

Very very slow service. I waited near the (so called host stand) for about 5 minutes before someone even acknowledged that I was there. A quite Wednesday night and it takes 5 minutes to get water and 10 minutes to get the check. I wouldn’t suggest this location.

My steak was inedible and had a slimy texture. I sent it back and ate the salad and potato. Server evidently resented my sending the steak back.

Service was slow even though they were not very busy.
The food was as expected from the chain which we like. The problem with the food was we didn’t get the wrap we ordered, instead we got someone else’s. We just ate it anyway because we were tired and didn’t want to wait.
We mentioned the problem when we got the ticket. Our server immediately knew what happened, apologized and discounted the wrap. That was cool.
We paid with cash, $ 40 for a $ 22.85 ticket. Our server brought us back $ 17 in change. We just smiled and had something to talk about for the car ride.

This may have been the worst service I’ve ever received in my life. Being a former server myself none of what a server should do was performed. She didn’t introduce herself, and forcefully demanded to know what we were ordering. She also presumed that due to our appearance we would only being ordering appetizers. She was just plain rude, and I will probably never eat there again, due to her disrespectful service.

We visited this Applebee’s location on a Monday evening. They were not that busy and our party of 8 (2 adults and 6 children) were seating fairly quickly. Our waitress was pleasant through most of the night and was efficient in filling our drinks and taking our order.
The problem began when we waited for 30 minutes to have the beginning of our meal brought to us. My niece received uher meal first. It took another 5+ minutes for 5 more meals to be brought to us. I noticed that they had forgotten my broccoli and the waitress said she would go get the two other meals and check on the broccoli. It took another 5+ minutes for her to bring my two young daughters their dinner (my daughters were very hungry and I let them start eating my meal until their meal showed up) and tell me that my broccoli would be out shortly. Needless to say my broccoli never made it to the table.
When the waitress brought our check to the table I reminded her about the broccoli and asked to have it deducted from my check. Her response was that she never charged me for it. The broccoli was a part of my meal and not an «extra» so I asked if I was paying full price for my meal and she told me that I was. After which she accused me of not wanting the broccoli. I stated that I did want my broccoli but did not receive it and felt that I should not have to pay full price for a meal when I did not get all of my meal. She discussed all of this with the manager who very reluctantly gave me $ 2.50 off my $ 14 meal!
Worst service ever at this Applebee’s. We have been to Applebee’s restaurants all over the US from Washington to Florida and never had an issue like this. We love Applebee’s, but I will not be back to this Applebee’s location in Redmond Oregon. I am very disappointed as to how I was treated and the level of service that they provided.

Generally Applebees is a safe bet for a cold beer and quick appetizer. Good news is that the beer was cold, even though they were not serving any Bud Light, aka America’s beer. Bad news is that our server forgot about us after our initial order and my glass was empty for 10 minutes before she acknowledged we might want a second beer.
Nachos were the same as always taste wise, but came out like they got dropped or slid all the way over to one side. Looked bad and not very appetizing.
We waited for 15 minutes and stood up at our table before our server noticed we were ready to leave. When the check came back, she had forgotten to add our second round. We left enough to cover the bill and a tip and headed out amid other customers who were complaining that they couldn’t get anyone to take their money.
