I would think twice before using Cedar Lawns. Although it was very expensive, I used Cedar Lawns for my son because it is so convenient for me to visit. For the first few years, things were well run and the management was nice and helpful. However, at some point in the last year or so, management changed. Things are very different now. I visit weekly. Plants that look just fine are removed — I believe because it is just so much easier to throw them away than move them when mowing. In fact, the management said that they remove things on Mondays so that they can mow on Tuesday. I have had nice ceramic pots that were also thrown away. It would seem that those could be left on the grave for one to pick up, but management said no, they didn’t know when you are coming back. This year they decided to get rid of all Christmas wreaths, etc. a couple weeks after Christmas — they were left for months last year. Of course, no warning. I had a nice wrought iron stand for my son’s wreath. They also threw that away instead of leaving it for me to pick up. When I questioned them, they said I could go back in their«dump» and look for it if I wanted. No apology, no help. When I suggested that they let people know their new schedules for removing plants, etc., the manager said that that would be way too much work. I suggested just sending out a mass email, but that too was deemed way too much effort. He was clear that they have to make sure that the grounds look good at all times. However, the ruts and holes on the driveways are so big and numerous that they cannot be avoided and you could actually lose your car in them. So, except for the convenient location if you live in Redmond, I would pick another cemetery — one where there is some decent customer service. This is not it!

I am not sure how many people are searching out cemeteries on Unilocal, but I have been coming to visit here since 1998. The grounds are well taken care of and have never had an issue. My grandmother would tell me the joke that«people are dying to get in here.» What did I learn today? I want my headstone to read«Well…this sucks!»
