Dave is the best. The most patient and knowledgeable teacher ever, and overall very nice guy. Tackles anything you want to learn with expertise. I’ve been on steady tracks learning jazz and blues, and sprinkles of anything I may want to learn during my session. I can literally throw any song at Dave, and he’ll write out what you need to know with a highly-​skilled musical ear, and explain theoretically what’s going on in the song. Most importantly, Dave listens to you and what your musical goals are.
I’m about a year in under Dave’s instruction and I can honestly say the progress I’ve made is immense. I’m very fortunate to have him as a teacher.

Dave is amazing. He is a phenomenal guitarist and a sweet guy. Been taking classes with him for a few months now and have learned a ton. He is great at being patient and also can listen to a song and write out the chords for you. Id recommend him to anyone who wants to learn guitar at any level.

As a long-​time student of Dave’s, I can personally speak from experience that Dave is one of the most patient and gifted guitar instructors in the Seattle area. He teaches out of two very conveniently located studios, one in Bellevue and one in Redmond.
My goal for learning guitar was to play kids songs to keep my son entertained. I wasn’t sure how to approach this since I had the perception that Dave was a hardcore rock and roll electric guitar instructor. Dave really surprised me that he can teach any style from jazz to classical to hard rock.
