Heres the difference of THISEB, and the one i am use to in Fayetteville, AR. Looking for a specific item. When i went to the Fayetteville store, the manager while frantically busy and as HER idea, not mine, got on the computer and even made a few phone calls to find me one. THIS store, same item, the woman in the men’s department didn’t even look on the computer. Its not a discontinued item either! Listen dumb butt! Humor me! Laziness, arrogance, stupid customer service or ALLTHREE?

At the very least, Eddie Bauer Customer Service is far superior to that of Spiegel, but that isn’t saying much. 1) For years, Eddie Bauer was my go-to place for quality, stylish, long-lasting, reasonably-priced clothing for both men and women. 2) Men’s clothing at EB remains much more like the old days… quality clothing, true-to size, and competitively priced in the marketplace. 3) While the colors of EB women’s clothing are lovely, each year for the past 5 years the quality of the EB women’s clothing has consistently and rapidly deteriorated, while the prices have continued to rise to ridiculous levels — especially when compared to the quality-vs-pricing at other high-end competitors like LL Bean, Coldwater Creek, and J Jill. 4) Eddie Bauer likes to position itself as a highly-evolved American company, touting the humble mountaineering beginnings of Mr. Eddie Bauer himself… but in truth EVERYTHING at EB is made overseas, costing more and more Americans their jobs. 5) Order your size from the EB catalog — but plan on returning it for at least one size larger; but most of the time you’ll have to go up 2 sizes in sweaters and most tops… unless you are a size 2 with very long arms and 6′ tall. Waste of time and waste of postage for you to continually return merchandise, and then by the time you figure out which size you actually needed — they are sold out of the product. Bummer. 6) Cheap quality, ridiculously-proportioned imported sizing, and outrageous prices in their women’s clothing = BIGRIP-OFF for women. Somebody is making a real killing on a $ 70 pair of flimsy sweat pants that we could buy from KMart for about $ 11 — and cost EB $ 3/pair to import from China. Good for EB, bad for consumers. 7) Don’t waste your money on Eddie Bauer women’s clothing because they sure aren’t the company they used to be. Instead, be a rebel and BUYAMERICAN. If enough of us begin to do that — it will eventually force their executives and stockholders to have to make their Mercedes car payments with some funds they earned honestly. Clementine

On my way to the Saturday Market, I see big sale signs at Eddie Bauer. I was not really in the market for anything but had to see what it was all about. I walked into the store and was greeted with, I guess I would say, an over excited employee, greeting me and then asking me what I was looking for and where he could take me in the store. Honestly, I was looking and really had no idea what for… just the signs caught my eye. I appreciate Eddie Bauer trying to bump up customer service, but my recommendation, take the greeting down a bit as many customers are not sure what treasure they might walk out with a simly hi, and«please let me know if I can help you find something, would have been great» Nice store and nicely made products for an outdoor life style.
