I’ve been a patient of Dr Han since 2008. Is it weird that I feel passionate about how awesome this dentist is? Let me put it this way — I live in Texas now and figured out a way to get here for a check up. After experiencing what a great dentist can do, I foolishly moved and starting seeing other dentists expecting the same level of care and knowledge. Umm no.
Dr Han is unique and a special kind of dentist who you can tell genuinely cares about the patient’s dental health and is experienced and knowledgeable enough to provide the best quality treatment.

I have been to Dr Han’s office for several years. There has always been a lot of turn over in the staff. I have requested staff to call back and never get a return call. I always feel pressure to get more things done that i don’t think it is necessary. I had to cancel one appointment. I called on a Monday morning to cancel an appointment for Tuesday. i got charged for $ 75.00 cancellation. I don’t think it is fair the office charged me the cancellation fee. they told me a signed a fine print of providing cancellation notice of 48 hrs in advance and agreed to a $ 75.00 cancellation. I don’t know if it makes any difference if i were to call on a Sunday. Things happen over the weekend. It is not fair. Beside $ 75 cancellation fee is much higher than most other would charge.

Dr. Han is great! My husband has been seeing her for dental matters for over 7 years, and I have joined her office a while ago. So far everything is great! Nice staffs, professional and efficient service, that’s all we need from a dentist. Good job!

Always suggest you to kinds of staff. Suggest you clean your teeth every three months. All they want is your money.

I’m not reviewing from the point of view of Alison Han’s actual dentistry, but twice I called their office in an attempt to get information on their insurance coverage, and both times they said they needed to either check with someone else or do more research, and neither time did I receive a call back (the first time I called again after not hearing anything for three weeks, the second time I specifically asked for a return call the same day and the better part of a week later haven’t received one).
So, she may be a terrific or a terrible dentist, but her management is clearly lacking in competence; I would not rely on them for anything critical when it comes to my paperwork, making sure my claims get fulfilled, etc.

Dr. Han and her staff are amazing. I don’t have dental insurance, so I pay out of pocket. Dr. Han’s office is flexible with payments (pay half at time of service, half a few weeks later). They give hand parafin dips while you are getting your dental service. I recently had a tooth pulled at her office, and it went very well. Dr. Han called me a few days later, on her day off (office is closed on Monday), to check and make sure I was ok! Excellent service. I have recommended Essence of Dentistry to several friends and will continue to do so.

i’ve always felt like going to the dentist is like setting up an appointment to get punched in the face. no thanks. so (probably not wisely) i’ve put it off for a long time — until recently, when my girlfriend suggested that i check out essence of dentistry.
my experience was awesome. well, as awesome as going to the dentist can be. it was the least painful dentists appointment i’ve been to. also, dr han is very nice and not at all judgmental. i highly recommend her.
