CLOSED! … This place closed little more than 2 weeks after I’d bought their Groupon deal. Very poor taste to do that. Did you not know beforehand? REALLY… sigh.

*CLOSED* I was so excited about this place… loved their crab cakes & juices the first time I went, but it seems they closed already. Today I made a reservation for brunch on their website, and we drove over there across the bridge from Seattle. There was some tax warrant on the door, and it was all dark inside — no one seemed to be working. There were some other people who showed up, too. At least they should update the website & disconnect RezBook/UrbanSpoon, if they decide to close!

I’ve been to Graces 5 twice, and had great experiences both times! I loved their creative appetizer menu, as well as their tasty salads. They have extensive options for both vegetarians and meat eaters, which I love as I eat mostly vegetarian and my partner loves a juicy steak. If you haven’t tried this place yet and are looking for a healthy and tasty meal on the Eastside, I highly recommend Graces 5.

I’m surprised by the negative reviews, I recently went to Graces 5 and had a great experience! I am allergic to dairy and gluten so it can be difficult to eat in a regular restaurant, particularly if you want dessert. At Graces 5 I was able to get mac & cheese and chocolate cake for dessert which I would never normally be able to have! True its on the expensive side but if you have food allergies this is definitely a place to check out!

The food here is amazing and so delicious! A lot of people think it’s a vegetarian or vegan restaurant, but it’s absolutely not. It is a restaurant that has devoted its menu to a healthier way of eating. They are a dairy(cow’s milk) free, gluten free and nut free establishment. It’s a place that caters to those of us that have food allergies. They have eliminated some of the most common allergens, but have kept the great taste of some really great dishes. I had their pesto pasta dish, and I have to say that it was the best pesto I have ever had. The combonation of flavors in the dish were to die for! And when you finish your appetizers and dinner, the Raw Pomegranate Cheesecake is a must have for dessert! It’s like magic in your mouth: P

I love this place! The food is super fresh tasting and seasoned just right. Love the kale salad, I could live on it! The beef bites appetizer is sooo good, I wish they’d turn it into an entrée. I really enjoyed the fresh squeezed juices, nothing can beat the refreshment. The service is super friendly and the atmosphere is cozy after being here two times I’m sure to come back for a third visit.

If you are looking for a healthy place to eat in Redmond this is it. The restaurant is set in an old home built in the 1920’s-30’30(remodeled of course) with a good size deck featuring fire pits. I had the veggie sandwich with sweet potatoes, very tasty. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Enjoy!

I am so excited this restaurant exists! The food is delicious, and because of this restaurant, I was able to safely eat out for the first time in years. I have many food allergies and sensitivities, including: egg, soy, corn, gluten, msg/processed free glutamic acid, pork, and chocolate. I was able to get an entire meal at Graces 5 without any allergic reactions. And for the food they offer, I think their prices are what they should be. The safe was very friendly and accommodating! The environment was vey inviting and comfortable. I recommend anyone with food allergies to check this place out! I also recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking to show support for places that are using real food!

This place was just okay. The portions were small and the prices were high for what you get. The caprese salad with avocado had nice flavors and was uncomplicated, but for $ 10 I find it difficult to justify what is ultimately very inexpensive to make at home. The crab cakes were good, but again very small. Including a pasta I got to take home to my husband, a fresh juice, dessert, and tip, I believe it ended up being close to $ 90. The pasta portion was more generous than that of the appetizers, but still $ 20 for a fairly simple, non-gourmet dish. All in all, the food tasted very fresh, but it wasn’t overwhelmingly amazing that I could justify the expense. (As a side note: They do have items including cheese and dairy, but they use goat milk. The irony of this is that I’m not cow milk intolerant, but I *am* allergic to all things goat. Unfortunately, this severely limits my options for ordering at what’s considered to be an allergen-free restaurant, and goat milk intolerance is more common than you’d think!)

Couldn’t come up with more great things to say about this place! We walked in at 9:10 pm(they close at 9, which we didn’t know). Our waitress Esther didn’t hesitate to let us order. In fact, she almost forced us to sit down(with laughs of course!). We had the beef tenderloin medallions(they were on the daily specials list). I don’t think I’ve ever had such awesome vegetables that come on the side of this dish. Not only was the customer service unbelievably amazing, but our waitress actually took the time to sit and talk to us about the restaurant and what it’s all about. She was performing her closing duties but never let that get in the way of making sure we had everything we needed. There is nothing that could keep me away from eating at this restaurant again! The best part is that it’s soooo healthy, so you don’t have to leave stuffed feeling terrible about what you just did to your organs. If you’re looking for a tasty meal, great service, and an atmosphere that is so inviting you’ll be talking to your neighbors at the table over from you, I highly suggest checking this place out. Not that I needed it, but everything on their menu is allergen free, which is definitely a big deal these days. One last time, I couldn’t say enough great things about this place. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!

No good… I’m on the fence of giving one star. This place had pretty good reviews, and the menu looked great so we decided to give it a shot. To start things off, there’s only about 6 parking spaces, so there’s a good chance you’ll have to drive around the block, or park in a neighboring business. Good luck turning around if there is no parking available in the back. Once inside we started with the goat cheese & fruit platter. This was the best part of our meal, the cheeses were pretty good, interesting fig spread, some gross seed cracker things, a handful of grapes, and one strawberry…, the price was very steep for the quantity served. Next were the entrees, crab cakes & pesto rigatoni. Crab cakes were on the smaller side, mushy, little seasoning, did not have a crunchy outer layer. There was a piece of shell in one of them. The vegetables on the side were all rubbery(like they had been reheated & microwaved), and the two sauces smothering the crab cakes were completely repulsive. Pesto rigatoni, noodles were way overcooked, falling apart on the plate. The pesto sauce didn’t have any creaminess to it, and needed way more salt, overall very bland. The pasta was slightly warmer than luke warm. $ 3.50 for a dry soda is absurd. Their«special» water is served at room temperature, and is nothing special. The waitress was nice enough, but the food was just awful. This is the most I’ve spent on a meal in quite some time, and this is also the worst meal we have had in the past year. I’ve been vegetarian for years and am used to non-mainstream type meals, but this was just ridiculous. The quality, flavors, seasoning just isn’t there. There shouldn’t be these sort of problems with food that is this expensive, we won’t be back, really disappointing. Edited: after thinking about it for a few days this place really does deserve one star. I regret not complaining about our meal, it was beyond disappointing.

We came here a few weeks ago and plan to come back, especially when it’s sunny and we can eat on the deck near the fire-pit! The food was great, and I liked how one of the waiters was doing card tricks for the kids in the room, and the atmosphere was light-hearted and cozy. I expected the food to be bland(since this is a healthy restaurant), but it was amazing! We had the pear bruschetta appetizer, then steak and pasta for dinner and it was delicious. I love knowing that all the food we ate was local, organic and treated without preservatives. The price is on the high side, but worth it, especially since it’s booked if you don’t make a reservation. One suggestion, expand your fresh juice menu, yum!

Great food whether you have allergies or not! It’s fresh, organic and flavorful. We started with the Tomato/Avocado appetizer and the balsamic vinegar was rich and tangy while the rich olive oil balanced it well. It was a fairly small portion. I then had the Crispy Kale salad(one of my favorites of the evening) and my husband had the Beet Salad, which as a large size was a very generous portion. My Chicken Marsala was balanced, and the fresh potatoes and vegetables on the side perfectly seasoned. Being able to order a raspberry chocolate dessert was a treat. The atmosphere is very cozy and the owners introduced themselves to us. Our server(Audra) was fantastic. She knew the menu, provided great answers, and the right level of interaction. Good food costs more, and it’s worth it. I look forward to going back.

this place is great if you are a person who has massive food allergies(dairy, soy, gluten) and you don’t want to be that person going into a regular restaurant having to ask the server what you can or cant have. i love how cute the restaurant is, and the service is great. The food is a bit pricey yes. but it is all ORGANIC, everything on their menu from their chicken to their salads… is all free range and organic. so if you are a health freak, want to spend a little extra money for great service and have someone cook simple meals that you could probably.(with time and effort) make for yourself at home. then come here. I get lazy sometimes. and i don’t want to cook, so i come here for a little treat. why not, i’ll pay the extra penny to get it. especially since I’m such a pain in the butt when i go to regular restaurants. :) BTW. the dessert menu ISOUTOFTHISWORLD. dessert for someone with gluten, wheat, soy and dairy allergies??? i’m sold.

Two of us stopped by for dinner. We live in Redmond and I had been curious. Service was good and the servers engaging. Food was fine, but a bit pricey for the experience. Very fresh salads with excellent dressings. And we were happy to have choice of having either a regular or small – I chose the small. I had lamb shank. Decent, but not noteworthy. The sauce was very good. The meat was fine, but not as tender as most lamb shanks I have had(including those I prepared myself). A little more time in the oven would have made an outstanding experience. She had the halibut special. Very good, though a tad salty. Vegetables excellent – still crispy. Rosemary potatoes were ordinary. For dessert we went for the raw cacao and avocado mousse. Better than it sounds, and I am sure it is healthier than a regular chocolate mousse – though not as luscious as a regular chocolate mousse. Coffee was excellent. The French Press produced a wonderfully aromatic dark coffee. Drank it black, but agave(not sugar) was available to sweeten it.

if you have food allergies or even diet restrictions this is the place for you… but not if you have a big appetitie. The only reason this place got 4 instead of 5 is because the portions are really, really small. I almost felt like we were at a tapas place. But either way, it was delish! Every bite I savored and the flavors just fit so well with every dish. I’m currently on the Ideal Protein diet and it’s very restrictive, so when i saw their menu catered to the«paleo diet’(very simliar to IP) I knew we had to try it and I’m glad that I did… however, it would be a very special occasion before I spend $ 50 bucks on lunch again. PS the crunchy kale is AMAZE

Graces 5 is a creative and healthy alternative if you’re looking for dairy free(cow’s milk), gluten free and soy free food. Known as a restaurant which caters to special diets such as vegetarians, vegans and paleo, we’ve been wanting to try Graces 5 for awhile. We went here for one of our foodie meet-ups and most of us started off with a fresh-squeezed juice. I tried the cucumber lemonade and dry lavender soda and several others tried the fireade, the awake, etc. There was even a lemon, maple syrup, cayenne pepper drink which didn’t Beyoncé lose 20 lbs. doing that for a few weeks? We were oohing and ahhing at the different juice concoctions on our table and it was fun to try such a nice variety. Very nice concept. We switched gears to appetizers and I ordered the beet, apple and potato latkes. Another friend ordered the crispy seasoned kale. Both were really good and the kale quite took me by surprise having tons of flavor and just the right crispiness. For dinner I ordered the pesto rigatoni(no chicken) and as we did with the juices, we all went around passing our entrees for one another to try. Of the things I tried, my favorite was probably the raw veggies + noodles with truffle oil. Dessert is what won our hearts though. We ordered the genache with berries, banana cake and pomegranate cheesecake. We were Shocked(with a capital S) such decadent desserts could be created with no dairy and still be so delicious and tasty. So we did what seemed most logical and we ordered another round of the pomegranate cheesecake… The restaurant itself is a house-to-restaurant convert(which I love!) and very charming and quaint inside. Our server, Audra, was fantastic and gave us solid recommendations. I like Grace’s 5 concepts and the focus on keeping food creative, fresh and healthy. It was the perfect choice for one of our group foodie outings and we will definitely be back! As we drove away at the end of our meal, my husband said«wow, I don’t feel fat and bloated like I normally do after a meal out.» And that pretty much summed up our experience!

What a bummer … seeing that we have all sorts of food issues and avoid dairy and gluten and want organic and local, we were very excited that Graces5 opened near us. Unfortuantely, they don’t understand that cooked food needs to be cooked. Appitizer: We tried the apple/beet latka’s. 1 was so uncooked that it litterally was just a pile of mush. The one that was cooked was actually pretty good. Soup: Cold. Sent it back. Came back hot(it was good). Dinner: I had the Rawco Taco. It was really good(no cooking involved). My wife had the chicken. Everything on the plate was coool(as in not hot enough). My wife loves to cook and knows how important it is to get foods to the right temperature. Either this food never got there or it did but then sat out and cooled down. She took one bite of the chicken(which had a good flavor) but then we sent it back to the kitchen to get a plate that was properly heated. Minutes later the exact plate was return, clearly having been thrown in a microwave oven. She took one more bite, but concerned for her health ended up only eating the potatoes. Dessert: Banana cake. It’s very dense, and as the waitress said«good think you have water to drink.» Water The stuff they serve is GREAT! Later that night My wife got sick. Typical food poisoning type of sick. We won’t be back.

We had a great Sun lunch on our first visit to Graces 5 and were surprised to be the only diners. Perhaps folks are still homebound following Snowmageddon 2012! The dining room is very welcoming, with simple, tasteful décor. We received a friendly greeting from our server, Audra, and offered our choice of tables.(Seems obvious, but how many times have you walked into an empty restaurant to be asked if you have a reservation?!) We were offered both lunch & dinner menus and opted for a lighter(and less pricey) lunch. I’m pretty sure my hubby really wanted to go for the lamb shank on the dinner menu! Let me start by saying I am have no food constraints — I don’t avoid gluten, dairy or wheat products. I like butter, mayo, bread, meat, etc. I prefer natural, organic food, but I don’t exclude foods that are not. I love a greasy hamburger on a toasted bun wiht garlic fries. However, after enjoying far too many greasy burgers, we chose Graces 5 because we are following the Weight Watchers eating plan and after looking at the menu on Unilocal,it appeared to be PointsPlus-friendly. We started with salad — he had the spinach and I went for mixed greens & arugula. Both were outstanding! The greens were fresh, crisp & nicely chilled. The vinaigrette dressings light, well-balanced and not too sweet or acidic. The spinach salad was topped with sweet, juicy orange segments, plump, dried cranberries and crisp roasted almonds. The orange vinaigrette was delicious. I love a salad that has been tossed before serving so the greens have a light coating of dressing, rather than a puddle in the bottom of the dish. My greens were topped with sweet halves of grape-tomatoes, thin strips of red onion and creamy goat cheese. We exchanged tastes and each thought we had the better choice! We both went with the same sandwich — open-faced turkey burgers with oven-roasted sweet potato«fries». The plump(easily 1″), yummy burger was deliciously seasoned and cooked perfectly. The burger is a 6 oz hand-formed patty before cooking(I asked). It is served on a grilled Portobello mushroom cap, dressed with veganaisse(soy-free, vegan mayo), greens, sliced tomatoes and topped with buttery slices of fresh avocado. I believe all burgers require catsup, but this one came without it and I didn’t ask for any — and loved every bite! This was a definite knife-and-fork burger! The sweet-potato oven fries were my first time eating sweet potatoes with the peels on. They were naturally sweet, lightly salted and went great with the burger. The server said they are baked in the oven and finished in a little olive oil in a skillet. They were very good! We both loved our meals — in spite of their being«healthy» and didn’t feel like we’d deprived ourselves to stay on our WW food plan(about 15 pts by our computation). Lunch for two, including hot tea beverages, came to about $ 40 before tip(a glass of wine would have added $ 16 – 20). We left feeling very full and satisfied. Next time we will come for dinner so my hubby can try that lamb shank!
