I walked in as a first time customer with an unusual item, a hydration pack, that needed a quick turnaround (24 hours). The ladies at Lani’s were extremely nice and helpful. Even though this item was a bit out of their wheelhouse, they agreed to try an mend it and get it back to me same day. Couldn’t ask for better service.
The shop is very clean and nice, they are very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend Lani’s Tailor and will return should the need arise :)

Weigh your needs against the prices here. If all you need is simple hemming, maybe think of going elsewhere. The seamstresses are fantastic– truly great sewing. But then, everyone who advertises themselves as an alterations place should have great seamstresses (sadly, most don’t). I would take only my more complicated sewing jobs here because of the prices. If you need bridal work, evening dresses or special fabric work done, this is where you would go. But a simple hem is probably going to be too costly. Especially if you have 4 or 5 to be done.

Great, friendly and professional service! I entrusted these wonderful ladies with my priceless vintage, family heirloom dress to be altered to wear at my wedding ceremony and they treated it like it was gold! Not only did they quote a fair price they finished it weeks ahead if their estimated time frame. They were so happy to help make my experience special and it truly radiated through out their shop. I will definitely use their services in the future and highly recommend them.

This tailoring shop is absolutely wonderful. I initially came here a year ago with my daughter, after some of my well-​dressed neighbors and friends recommended this tailor. I had bought my kid a pricey dress that needed alterations and, at the time, the tailor here was refreshingly honest, advising us that the dress would require major alterations in nearly every area, costing more than the dress itself. She was right (and we returned the dress the next day). I really appreciated her candor and knew I’d return here in the future if I had any tailoring jobs to be done.
Last week I returned with some pants to be hemmed and a waist to be tacked, and I was told they’d be ready in a week. When I picked them up, I couldn’t help but notice how fantastic the workmanship was. The hemming on the yoga pants was better than they were from the manufacturer (double-​stitched, even), and they decided to take in the waist instead of simply tacking it, as a courtesy. Wow. I was blown away. And again, the workmanship was beyond reproach.
Each time I’ve been here, there have been girls or women in expensive gowns to be altered, and at least one guy present getting pants or a suit altered, so I know their clientele is not only us women!
I like how friendly and lovely the ladies are who work here, and how professional and skilled they are. There are two generous-​sized dressing rooms and the place is always clean and organized. There’s always ample parking in the lots flanking Lani’s (the shop here is in the middle of a small, brick shopping complex between Cleveland St and Redmond Way. You can access a parking lot just east or west of the shop, in this complex).
I think the prices of services here are a bit higher than at most places elsewhere, but the quality of work is the highest I’ve seen anywhere. And unlike at other places, I’d never wonder if the work would be done well, if my items would be damaged or lost, or if I’ll be charged more than quoted on the receipt (all these things have happened to me at other tailors in the past).
My only suggestion is not to ask for pricing quotes over the phone, as they may differ greatly from the price quoted in person, when you bring your item in to be altered.

Lani is amazing amazing and did I mention amazing. She has fitted many a suit for me and can’t express how great they looked! Reasonably price for the quality of work she does! I highly recommend her!

I have been to a couple tailors around the area and this by far the BEST place I have been to. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel like I had been coming there for years. Not only were they able to give me an amazingly quick turnaround but the shirts looked great as well. I will be taking anything I ever need work on here, and I recommend you do the same!

Hands down, the BEST tailors in Redmond. Very professional staff and accommodating to your needs. Kim had done alterations for some denim jeans last minute and she had them finished much faster than I anticipated, did I mention that they were perfectly how I wanted?! I will for sure continue to use this place in the near feature.

I always go to Lani’s to get alterations done and have always been happy with the quality of work I have received and the recommendations that they suggest. I trust that they will always do a good job and feel that this is important to have trust in a Taylor when it comes to altering clothing.
The only downside is I feel that at times the cost of the work is a little pricey and almost made up on the spot. I would have more things altered if this wasn’t the case.

I can’t say enough great things about Lani’s. They have reconstructed several of my jeans the last year and always have the best customer service.

I had a last minute Halloween costume emergency that needed addressing. The owner was gracious and willing to help me out of a bind. The work she did was outstanding and on schedule! Highly recommended!

I am so grateful that Kim was able to alter 2 pair of special occasion pants. Her handiwork is very clean and she has a friendly customer attitude. Next time and going forward I’ll know where to take my alterations!

Lani’s is absolutely fantastic. I’ve been here a couple times to get formal clothes taken care of for attending weddings, and each time the service was prompt, the pricing was reasonable, and the pickup time was super flexible based on when I needed it done.
Perhaps best of all, whenever I brought in all the clothes for the wedding, I never felt like I was getting swindled. If something fit, they made no effort to talk me into trying to get any work done to it — they were always honest and helpful, and the clothes fit fantastically afterwards.

I use Lani’s exclusively and cant say enough good things about the quality and service.
I use Lani’s for tailoring items to a custom fit and to repair things. SHe is very meticulous about measuring and talking through what she will do. I notice that she appreciates high quality clothing and takes extreme care with pieces of Misook, Eileen Fisher and Lafayette 148. THe cost of service is average for what good tailoring costs. It’s not cheap…
Lani’s also does mens clothing. I have had her shorten dress shirt sleeves and Tommy Bahama shirts to perfection. Even shortented a pair of Foot Joye waterproof golf pants with zippers at the bottom, flawlessley.

This place offers tailoring only, no dry cleaning.
I have been here twice to get shirts and pants hemmed.
She charges the going rate for hemming for example my pants were $ 14.50. If you want the original Hem it’s of course more but I’ve had her do that as well and she does a phenomenal job at it. I used to pay less but in a different neighborhood so this is just the typical rates since I’ve asked around.
She did a few really fancy embroidered shirts for my husband. She took them in and shortened the sleeves. Lots of work since there was so much embroidery on the shirts.
She really did a good job on them and the turn around time wasn’t too long. Usually 3 days.
It’s difficult to find since It’s apart of the outdoor mall area but is not labeled on the business sign directory. It’s next door to the Aveda Salon on the street side.

I took a damaged couch cushion cover (the zipper was coming off after I had to wash the cover…) in to Lani on ⁸⁄₁₆. Initially, I was quoted as having it done in a week, but after a bit of protesting, it was instead completed on ⁸⁄₂₁.
She undid all the bad stitching around the zipper of the cover, and replaced it with a much stronger stitch, and better quality thread. It took her a few minutes to find the cover, though, when I got there. The total cost of the repair was only $ 12 + tax.
All in all, I’m satisfied with the work performed here. When I buy my new wardrobe this fall season, I think I’ll take my stuff here and have her do alterations for me, at least for the stuff that I buy that doesn’t have in-​store tailor services.
