Michael’s Auto Repair

I’ve been to Michaels Auto repair several times now and have been very impressed.
He seems to give honest advice and during a recent service he called me several times to explain what he found and ask if I wished him to do the additional work or not.
The front desk staff are polite and I find that I relax taking my vehicle here as I know I will not get charged for work not required.
Highly recommended.

Been taking all our cars to Mike’s since 1991. The most honest auto shop you would come across. Not only is he my mechanic but he also works on my wheelchair repairs. Wilma is amazing managing the office and has very personable & knowledgeable staff to take your calls and greet you. All of their employees are well trained to do the job right.

I have taken my car to Michael’s a couple of times now. They were great about getting me in quickly when I had an emergency and couldn’t get anywhere! Michael was open and honest about the problem and took the effort to keep my costs down while getting me the repair I needed to safely get back on the road. He looked over my car and checked into what might be coming up for me in the future for maintenance etc so I could make informed decisions. NO scare tactics here just good advice and fair prices. I love the free Wi-​Fi and roomy work space. I could keep on working while my car was being prepared and didn’t have to suffer any down time. You can even walk over to whole foods and get a bite to eat or do some grocery shopping while you wait!

Michaels always does excellent work for me. I have recommended his shop’s services to several friends already, as he as proven to be trustworthy and fair. Furthermore, the mechanics are always patient and happy to explain issues with my car in a way that I can comprehend, helping me to make good decisions that relate to repairs and the car’s overall maintenance.
PS, having a cute dog hanging around the shop is always a plus!

Once you find a good mechanic, you keep him, and Michael and his crew are among the best. Are you a woman? There’s no T&A tax here. What I like and appreciate the most is that Michael will pull out books, diagrams and whatever he has available to explain to you what is going on with your car and why they have to do what they’re going to do to fix it. I’ve had experience working on cars, so I know that he is truthful with his explanations and he’s not trying to rip you off. When I move out of this area, losing Michael and his expertise is going to be hard. They also offer a courtesy van to pick you up and drop you off if you need a ride. Your car is in good hands at this shop.

Michael’s is awesome! He’s the most honest, caring auto repair professional I’ve found in forever! I was taking my 2005 Honda here and he always told me what repairs were urgent or could wait, letting me decide what my budget could handle. I even came here for just oil changes. They dropped me off and picked me up at my office which was within a 5 mile radius. I’m now the owner of a 2012 car and when I need repairs hope my new job is close to his shop because I want to keep going to Michael.

First time at Michael’s today to service my SUV. Great experience from scheduling an appointment that was convenient for me to picking up the car.

You don’t really appreciate how great Michael’s is until you go somewhere else. Michaels isn’t near home or work, so sometimes I get lazy and get an oil change at another shop near my office. When my headlight went out they said I needed a new igniter and ballast, over $ 800 — I passed on that.
So a few weeks later my car barely starts and I figure its the battery which I got at Michaels, they get me in same day to get it tested. Battery was fine but the starter was going. Michael mentions the headlight, says its likely just the igniter and gives me a quote less than half the other shop. So I get both the starter and igniter replaced and thanks to Michael skipped getting a ballast I didn’t need.
Bottom line this is an honest shop, everything has been fixed right the first time, and their communication is great.

I’ve taken my car to Michaels a handful of times over the past 3 years, and I find them to be honest and do a good job. Michael, the owner, takes the time to answer my questions over email and in person. Wilma is so sweet, always offers me coffee or a ride home if it’s a long wait. I tend to use their conference room with the free wi-​fi, though. I’ll take my car to Firestone for oil changes and simple stuff but for complex issues and major mile service, it’s always Michaels. Prices are not cheap but it’s worth it to know the job is done right. They’re only open Monday through Thursday so plan accordingly!

I was referred to Michael’s Auto Repair from a friend, so I had high expectations going into my appointment this morning.
I’m happy to say that I couldn’t have asked for better service and an overall experience! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an honest place to go.

By my profession, I moved five different states last 19 years. Every time I moved, I always had a difficult time to find the right barber (or hair stylist), a vet (for my dog) and a trustworthy auto mechanic. All the trust and relationship that I established with them, I had to start all over with new people every time I moved. I believe that, at least, my search is over for finding the right auto mechanic for my cars until I will move again. I am a very inquisitive person and a tester & verification engineer by my profession.
When my car was in need for an expensive repair, Michael, the shop owner, explained to me what the necessary things I should have them fix and what options I have. Not only just for saving money sake, I can trust him and his shop people. From my experience with Michael’s, the only necessary right fix was applied and done correctly. His should be in «Cartalk“s recommended shop list!

* Service: Excellent (Owner will call you and answer your questions step by step if necessary)
* Price: They are not the cheapest but reasonable
* Pick up and shuttle service: They do not provide a loaner car but they will pick you up and drop you off at your desire location while your car is being serviced. They also do not arrange rental car for you.
* Avoid factor: Remember their business hours. They don’t operate on Friday and weekends
* Recommendation: Please do talk to Michael directly. He will explain to you very well about your car issue.

The best service. Very trustworth. Used to have a local guy who closed shop on short notice. I found Michael’s Auto Repair a few blocks away and I like him even more than the previous repair shop. Would not use anyone else.

worst experience i have had with an auto mechanic.
long story short — my car was overheating. they quoted me at $ 750 and «fixed» it.
i went to pick up my car, and the bill was suddenly $ 1250!
3 weeks later, my check engine light comes on and the code is for «coolant system performance». michael said if it was related to the work they did, he would diagnose it free of charge.
i took it in a second time, and they said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it, yet still charged my another $ 160!
they are either very untrustworthy or very incompetant + bad at explaining things.

As a single woman I feel like I have a target on my head when I walk into a car repair shop. But not at Michaels! This place is awesome! Personable, family owned and operated, good old fashioned customer service. The best part is I TRUST them!
Mike, Wilma and Tessa are all wonderful to deal with and I feel right at home every time I walk in the door.
They may not be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for, right?
I highly recommend Michaels Auto Repair to everyone and especially single women like me who don’t want to worry about being taken advantage of when it comes to car maintenance and repair costs.

A good mechanic is hard to find, I think this one is a keeper. I took my truck to Michaels for the 90K service based on a friends recommendation and the reviews I saw online. I couldnt have been more happy with my experience. Mike is very honest and knowledgable. He didn’t try to sell me any service that I didn’t need but did give me options based on how long I plan on keeping the truck. Not pushy at all. He uses quality parts, his staff is experienced and the shop is clean and well lit. Based on my experience there, I would recommend this business to anyone.

Still a fan… I had to get some window work done and kudos to Michael for helping me stay within my budget. The work was done quickly, updates were called in to me as needed, and thankfully, I can finally go to drive thru’s again!
