Came here with a friend to check out the additions to the newly revamped Café 121. It’s quite cute. There’s a bright, yellow theme going on to match the yellow cushions and seating. We made a beeline over to Urban Kitchen, where Puget Sound chefs rotate in every two to three weeks. This week’s chef was Matthew Noesen from Le Grand Bistro Americain. The wait wasn’t terrible — it took about the same time(10 minutes or so) that it takes a lot of the made-to-order places. The meal… Was unfortunately met with mixed reactions. The chicken liver mousse was nearly solidified, kind of hard to eat — wasn’t the best I’ve had. The steak, on the other hand, was pretty good — as was the chocolate pot de crème. Overall, I would give the meal 3.5 stars, but overall would give Café 1214.5 stars. Love the new look and excited to try the other places in time!
