I have been a patient of Dr. McCoy’s for the last 3 – 4 years or so. The best thing about going to this dental practice is I really trust that both Dr. McCoy and his staff are always looking out for their patient’s best interest first and foremost. Val(at the front desk) is amazing. She knows the insurance plans extremely well which plays a huge role in some of my dental decisions at times since we all know dental work can be very pricy, even with insurance. Dr. McCoy is great in that he’s not one of those dentists who prefers to redo all your previous dental work(by other dentists), being conservative yet honest about what you really need. He’s also very skilled with his dental procedures and seems to be a bit of a perfectionist. The assistants are fantastic, all of them. I even floss more thanks to their encouragement and educating me on the harmful effects of not flossing. The office is modest and I personally prefer that rather than a dentist who wants to redo all my fillings because they need to pay for their fancy-pants equipment and extravagant artwork, which has happened to me in the past. That’s the other thing; Dr. McCoy(and staff) is not pushy at all! I have inquired about additional services but they’ve never tried to sell me anything without me asking about it first. I won’t mention any names(even for Unilocal), but there are a few other dentists in Redmond which are terrible that way. I once walked out of a cleaning with a dental plan of over $ 12,000 worth of work recommended for aesthetics purposes. I’ve already been through the braces, laser whitening, etc. and my teeth look just fine, so that was my last visit there and that’s when I found Dr. McCoy’s office. The dental office who’s name I won’t mention also had a bowl of candy in their waiting room. Being subtle is not their forte apparently. All in all, if you’re looking for a down to earth dentist you can absolutely trust, who cares about their patients — this is your place. You’re in good hands with Dr. McCoy and staff!
