The UPS store across the street was double the price to ship a large package. So far so good.

Beware, they will nickel and dime you for every little thing, A piece of tape, .50 an envelope, 1.00, etc. They won’t do that across the street at the UPS store.

Excellent! I worked with Mike to get some papers notarized and photographs taken. He was knowledgeable, knew about the photograph requirements of various embassies and got the job done really quickly.
Definitely the goto place for photographs (Schengen) and Notary.

Went in to get a quote from Ray on shipping some sensitive camera gear across the country (camera gear I have shipped previously with no issues). From the moment I began to place items on the desk Ray seemed less than enthusiastic about helping me. Firstly he didn’t grasp that I wouldn’t be shipping the gear in a large Pelican case I had brought it all to the store in, even after being told by myself and my wife three times that it wouldn’t be going. He then proceeded to tell us that was a bad idea, even after being informed that was simply not an option as the person we had sold and were shipping the gear to did not want to pay for the expensive case. Instead of listening to what we needed to say, or maybe even offering up some suggestions on how we could pack and ship the gear, he just kept interjecting commentary about what a bad idea idea it was to not ship it in the Pelican case.
We then offered up that we could remove the foam from the Pelican case and use it to ship the smaller items all in one box. He continued to take an extremely negative view of the situation and it was obvious his only concern was for his potential liability and pointed out that he was the owner so it wasn’t going to ship without his ok, as if we had any interest in shipping our expensive camera gear in a way that was less than safe. It really was a remarkable how negative he was during the entire experience. At that point I decided I’d had enough of my intelligence being insulted and being condescended to and decided to pack my stuff up and go in search of someone not at all like Ray. While beginning to pack up I pointed out my displeasure at him acting like he didn’t want to ship any gear. He took the opportunity to admit that he, in fact, did not want to ship it.
We travel full time and thus have to use shipping companies all over the country very often. We go to small shipping businesses like this in order to get expertise, creativity, and good customer service. Otherwise, we might as well go to the USPS if we want crappy service with a side of negativity smothered in condescension.
We’ve been here once before when we needed to mail some postcards and get a few envelopes (another experience that wasn’t great but that passable because it required almost no thinking). If all you need is to buy are stamps or drop off a package, Ray is your man. If you’re expecting to ship something particularly expensive or need some assistance with packing, Ray lacks the requisite people skills to make that experience a pleasant one. He will, in fact, over complicate the situation by making assumptions and jumping to all sorts of conclusions before allowing you to even fully explain your request. It seems he is to shipping what finger painting is to art.

Even though it is listed as a service offered, the photos taken here are not accepted by US authorities.
Save yourself the hassle of getting a new photo and resubmitting documents/​applications — just get the photo somewhere else.

Excellent service! Makes me want to find an excuse to mail something to someone. The service staff makes everything so easy. She weighed our stuff, tells us the cheapest way to send and packs it for us! I don’t think I’ll be going to USPS anymore!

Great place to take your passport photo, professional and quick. Also used their US postal service, it was the same price and pretty quick!

I have mailed several packages at this location and they are always helpful and courteous. They always give me the options when shipping and if there is a way to save a dime they point it out. I also love the cards they carry there. It is hard to find just the right card that doesn’t cost a fortune but they always have just what I need. Parking is usually pretty available and getting in and out is a snap. I highly recommend this store.

I had a good experience. I went around the lunch hour and I was able to get in and out of there quickly. The guy was really friendly too.

For the last couple of years we’ve used Pony Express for all sorts of things — overseas shipping; domestic shipping; passport and visa photos and have always had a great experience.
Pricing seems to be the same as offered anywhere and for the convenience of location, hours and simple no-​nonsense competence it’s an easy choice.

I was researching places to drop a package off in Redmond, and came across this Unilocal page. After reading some reviews I am baffled that the owner responds to bad reviews with snarky responses. This is the only reason I will never go to this place. What a disgusting way to handle costumer service issues. MIKE– you’re doing yourself and your company a huge disservice.

This Pony Express is as good as it gets. Their service is fast, friendly, and outstanding. They have everything here, notary, photos for passports, they have made DVDs from old VCR and video camera tapes, and they are always kind enough to help me wrap things up for shipping since I am disabled. Of course there is a small mark-​up on shipping, they aren’t the post office. They are a private business, and they have employees to pay, rent, electricity, etc. But their friendliness and kindness, and all of the things they offer make it well worth while to pay the little extra. I’ve never had to stand in 10 person lines like the post office either, they are busy but fast, but never so busy that you feel like a number and not a person. Mike and his employees are great!

Pathetic service with very bad professional manners. I needed passport photos for very specific requirement, went and the guy just took the photos and was in a hurry to finish up the task instead of making sure that the work is done according to specifications. He never looked interested in providing a professional service but rather behaved like know all and screwed up the photos in the end. Also there is always an excuse that I was correct and you should have informed about the extra specifications. The charges are very high even compared to professional service and quality is too amateurish to even come back there. Will prefer to drive an hour to find an alternative than to go back there.

I went in for Passport photos. They are incredibly quick and efficient. The women were so sweet. Michael, who took my photo was very curt with me. Not impolite but I’m not used to having my friendliness shot down as if I were a troublesome child. «If you follow the procedure, I can take your photo» he said curtly when I expressed my surprise that you can’t smile in a passport photo. His words are very polite. I was called «Ma’am,» and he thanked me. Just didn’t appreciate his «Can we get on with this??» attitude. Still, it’s a 4-​star business in my opinion.

Service is good, not much to complain about since it’s a small business with two people. They get the work done. The review is to tell everyone how great the business is. They have UPS, FEDEX, Notary, and a copy machine (free of cost). Yes, Kinko’s serves this same purpose, but there’s something about small businesses that I like. According to my colleague, this location has been around for ages. For someone who was in a rush, my experience was amazing and definitely saved my time.

If you need a passport/​visa/​ID photo taken to non-​US specifications, this is the place to go. I needed a few photos taken for a Japanese visa and alien registration card and had been stressing out about where to have them taken. The staff at Pony Express were super friendly and made me feel at ease, despite obviously being very busy. The price on the photos was totally reasonable, the staff really seemed to know their stuff, and we even chatted a little bit once they lobby had cleared out a bit. If the experience with something as relatively complex as passport photos went so smoothly, I can only imagine how quick and easy it must be to use these guys’ shipping services! I have also had documents notarized at the same location, and had a great experience. I would highly recommend this place!

I love this Pony Express. They are always friendly, know who I am, and even have my packages waiting for me at the counter when they see me walk to my mailbox. I’ve never used any of their other services other than their mailbox, but I am quite pleased with the service I get.

I went into Pony Express and mailed a priority package to my mom. My package arrived 4 days late because the owner forgot to put it with the outgoing mail. When confronted Mike was very rude. Word to wise… take your mail elsewhere

At first I tried Bartell’s nearby but they flat out said they don’t do passport photos for children (why?!). So we came here instead and I’m glad we did. Quality was great, the photographer was great and the price was great :) I’m glad I found this place today. I’ll be coming back for sure.

I needed to expedite a passport renewal because I have an upcoming project in Canada. I googled around for «passport photos redmond» and this place popped up and it was close to my office. Excellent service with a nice personal touch. The passport photo turned out great. They use a Nikon D200. I had my form already filled out. They helped staple the photo to the form, stuff it into the envelope, and write «expedite» on the outside. It’s on its way. They have premium coffee to sip while you wait, and I didn’t wait long. I think it took 15 minutes for the whole thing.
