Auntie Em’s Pet Sitting and Dog Walking

Auntie Em’s is in one word AWESOME! I highly recommend! I have a senile blind and incontinent dog, and my sitter Subro takes awesome care of him. They have been a godsend for me every since my dog became this way. The service, response, and ability to make late reservations is amazing.

I have never used a pet sitting service because of concerns (reliability, quality, daily updating, and continuous same person care). Auntie Em has completely alleviated my concerns! Eva did exceptionally well– and my dogs love her. In fact I think they still wait for her at the door for their daily walk!
I highly recommend Auntie Em; and will be using Eva’s care many time in the future since I am now retired and plan on traveling.

As an update, we recently used Auntie Em’s for an extended time. Eva not only did the daily walks (with current updates), she personally purchased additional specialty dog food because we did not provide enough (which we will reimburse). In addition, she «cleaned up» our doggy area, picked up our mail, and refreshed all the doggy water bowls thought out the house.
AND OUR DOGS LOVE HER!

I recently started using Auntie Em’s service, and I can’t speak highly enough about them. Emery is very responsive and helpful, and made me feel at ease with leaving our young puppy in her team’s hands while we’re at work. Plus, it’s super easy to schedule and pay for walks/​visits.
Brittny is my pet sitter, and she’s amazing. She really cares about our newly-​adopted puppy and goes above and beyond to make her feel safe and happy. Brittny leaves detailed notes after each visit, which I appreciate and look forward to reading each day when I get home. I love that Auntie Em’s also posts a photo of our pup on Facebook during each visit — it makes me feel relieved to see that someone is taking care of our pup while we’re not home.

Being new to a pet sitting/​walking service, we were recommended Auntie Em’s by one of our neighbors and we couldn’t be more grateful! They are so thorough in the application process. Our walker (Brittny) stopped by and met our dog and went through all of her routines. Brittny has been fabulous and we love seeing the picture updates on Facebook and Brittny’s little notes about how their walk went. Emery is very easy to get a hold of and super quick to respond when our schedule changed (which happened very frequently). Our minds were at ease knowing our dog had a break from the house and had food and water. I would completely recommend this service to anybody who asked!

As cat owners/​lovers know, even though cats don’t need to be walked and can get fed kibble from an automatic feeder, a cat still needs TLC from its humans. We left our «Dave» in the kind and capable hands of Auntie Em’s – actually with Subro, who posted a picture of Dave every day on the Facebook site. Dave told us that Subro was a terrific companion (he visited once a day). We were so grateful not to have to worry while we vacationed. Also – Auntie Em’s provides a consult visit, so Subro got to meet Dave, and we were able to discuss all the details. We highly recommend Auntie Em’s!

Emery and her team (my walker was Brittny) are amazingly helpful, attentive, and knowledgable. Their regular updates and photos were much appreciated and I would highly recommend them for any of your pets needs!

My experience with Auntie Em’s was excellent! My 2 cats were very relaxed when I arrived home after the Thanksgiving holiday (which is no small feat) because they are very attached to me! My sitter left notes describing how the cats did each day on their visit and posted cute pictures of the kitties to Facebook to let me know they were doing well! Look no further for a pet sitting company — this one is the best!!!

If you’re looking for a quality dog sitter in the South Bay, look no further! Our dogs have special needs (one has seizures and the other one has a bit of an attitude) so it’s always been difficult for us to find good care for them both. We recently moved to Redondo, and worried we weren’t going to find another good sitter. We definitely got very lucky when we found Auntie Em’s! Emery’s service and communication are top-​notch! And our dog sitter, Jackie, was amazing with our dogs during her overnight visits with us! She took such great care of our fur-​kids, and even left us detailed notes going over what happened every day that she was with them. One of our dogs even got sick while we were away (from a new medication we had to put him on), and Jackie took great care of him and the house was spotless when we returned. Thank you for all that you do for our fur-​kids, Auntie Em’s! We feel so comforted and thankful to know we have you look after our dogs while we’re gone!

Auntie Em’s has exceptional service! I started using them almost a year ago when I moved to the area. In that time I’ve only had two different people walk my dogs both very kind, knowledgable, and strong. I have two large strong dogs that sometimes need extra love. They always arrive on time and my dogs are very happy after. I’ve used them for poop pick up, walks, and daily care while out of town. I felt as tho my dogs and home where in good hands. Emery herself has personally shared references as well as advice for my younger rescue pup whom sometimes gets intense while passing other dogs he wants to smell, but can’t. She has been easy to reach by phone or email as I am not part of the FB world. I highly recommend her services.

I have absolutely loved my experience with Auntie Em’s! The only reason I am not using their services anymore is because I am moving to Portland, OR. My border collie lab mix is about a year and a half old now, but my dog walker Jessica watched him grow up. He has an unbelievable amount of energy, but Jessica was so patient with him and would suggest tips for me to have him stop pulling on leash. Each walk, I would come home to a little note about Max’s walk for the day. Jessica would also take a picture of Max on each walk and share it on Facebook. So adorable! Everyone I came in contact with at Auntie Em’s was very friendly, even if I missed a payment or forgot to give them my schedule for the week. Emery would just give me a gentle reminder through email. Max usually had Jessica as his walker, and I liked the consistency. He was also walked by Eva a few times and she was also great! Auntie Em’s also helped out my roommate a lot with last minute walks for her dog when she had to suddenly be out of town a few times this year. Awesome awesome place! I wish I could take them all with me! Thanks for such a wonderful experience Auntie Em’s! Max and I will miss you! :)

I was so impressed by the highly diligent attention and care that Jackie at Auntie Em’s gave to my cat Olivia when I was traveling. I returned from my trip to a very happy Olivia and sweet hand-​written notes from Jackie which provided detailed daily updates of each visit. It is such a great feeling to know I have found I trust-​worthy and truly caring company to pet-​sit when I am away. I highly recommend Auntie Em’s Pet Sitting & Dog Walking.

My sister and I used Autie Em’s while we were out of town on lengthy trips seperately. It was really difficult to leave the pups for that long, which is why we preferred them to stay at our house. We have had issues with sitters in the past. One sitter was so unprofessional from the start, that we didn’t even book. And then they threatened us with legal matters if we left a negative Unilocal (I’m not one to fear leaving an honest negative review). Another sitter was good, however the pups would come home smelling like urine and it made us uncomfortable. So we are happy to say that Auntie Em’s will be our ‘forever sitter.’ Not only were they professional, reliable, accessible, and loved by our babies, but Matt also watered our plants AND picked some weeds in our garden for us! We could not have asked for a better experience! We will definitely be requesting Matt for all our future sitting services! Thank you!

Just wanted to share for anyone in South Bay needing pet sitters or dog walkers, I finally found a company I love! Auntie Em’s came to my house 3x a day to walk the pups & spend time with them while I was gone on the longest trip I’ve ever been away from my two dogs (3 weeks!). Our sitter took it upon himself to water our flowers even though I forgot to ask, the pups are happy, I saw multiple pics of them everyday, both Em & our sitter were SO nice & responsive — and if I’m not mistaken, our backyard looks cleaner so impressed. Two thumbs & 8 paws up!
PS forgot to add our sitter Matt also bathed the pups AND I noticed how much cleaner the backyard was — he pulled up weeds and swept the patio! Incredible. So impressed!

We have already used Em’s pet sitting service twice and were extremely happy. They are very professional, courteous and prepared to accommodate special requests to make sure our dog’s routine was maintained. Last time around we had a last minute need in the middle of the holidays and I thought there’d be no way they would be able to help out… But they did and made sure our dog was taken care of while we were gone for the day. Great service!

My wife and I both had demanding jobs and we used Auntie Em’s for over a year to walk our pooch and take care of him while we were traveling. It was a difficult decision for me to hand over a key to my house to someone else, but we grew to have such great trust and respect for Emery and her staff (Matthew in particular) that we hired them not only for weekly walks but to stay at our house for weeks at a time while we were out of town. They’re the best and we’d highly recommend them to others. My only wish is that we could transport them to South Florida where we now live.

I’ve used Auntie Em’s a couple of times for cat sitting, both times on short notice, and they are so so so wonderful! Emery is responsive, kind, and professional every time I talk to her. Julia, who has watched my cat both times, came to meet me the day of my request (because that was the only day I could meet – so accommodating!!) and made me feel so much better about leaving my cat. Emery even recommended a vet for me since I’m new to the area. I wouldn’t use anyone else!

I just used Auntie Em’s dog walking service while I was out of town for 2 weeks on business. My husband works long hours, so we needed someone to stop by our house during the day to walk our two dogs. The first dog walking service I hired didn’t show up on the first day, so I had a day to find another person from the east coast. I sent Auntie Em’s an email requesting the service. Within 30 minutes Emery called me back and came to my rescue! She was very helpful and set everything up with 24 hours notice.
Matthew was our dog walker for the next week and a half. He did a wonderful job. I loved the daily notes he left. He also sent me daily text messages with updates and pictures of the dogs. This really made my day during a long, tiring business trip away from home! They have a very user friendly members website that makes scheduling easy and post photos on their Facebook page as well.
I will definitely use them again very soon! Thank you for doing such an OUTSTANDING job.

I have been using Auntie Em’s Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Services for over a year now and Emery and her crew are FABULOUS! They do such a good job making you feel comfortable about leaving your pet in their care. I love the little notes they leave at the end of each visit, to let you know how the visit went.
I love that they come to my home, so no drop offs or pick ups needed, which is a huge help of extra busy days. I love just being able to come straight home after work and cuddle with my little Dexter.
I’ve also used the overnight service sitting service offered and have no complaints about that either! I can home to an extremely relaxed and happy pup… plus the sitter texted me a photo during the night, which is always nice. Oh! And that reminds me that they also take pics of your pet during their visits and post them onto the Auntie Em’s Facebook page (and sometimes instagram) so if you’re wondering how everything is going or you just want to see the face of your little precious guy during the day (which I ALWAYS do), it’s a great little midday treat for yourself! :)
Lately Dexter has had visits with Matthew and I think they’re ‘not so secret bff’s’ bc every time I come home after a Matthew visit, Dexter is always so relaxed and looks up at my with this face like, «Mama, you’re not my fun sitter… where’d he go?» then wags his tail and goes back to bed. Normally when I get home, he races to the door with thousands of kisses and an uncontrollable amount of excitement… guess he’s just too content now, from all his amazing walks to do so. :)
I would say the prices are comparable to that of a boarding service, but the personalized care and attention you and your pet receive from AE is incomparable.
I could go on and on about how great AE and her crew are… they’re truly the best in doggy care in the South Bay!

I’m new to the area and needed a dog sitter just weeks after moving here for an out of state wedding. I have never had to hire a pet sitter (other than family) for my dog before, and was very concerned about finding someone who I could trust to take good care of my girl.
Auntie Em’s service was everything that I could ask for. She responded to my email within minutes. I appreciated that both Emery and Jennifer came to meet my pup and discuss procedures. I could tell they were very professional, were knowledgeable about pet health, and love the animals.
While out of town, I appreciated the daily photos they posted on Facebook. When we returned home, there was a daily journal. It was evident they spent time with my dog and got to know her. When we walked in the door after landing in LAX, our dog got up to greet us, sniffed our bags, then calmly went back to lay down on her bed. To me, this shows that she was well cared for. She was happy, and not hungry, desperate to go out, & generally didn’t seem like she had missed us too much! Ha.
We love Auntie Em’s and will definitely be using them in the future!

From their initial prompt response to the after care of my dog, Auntie Em’s has been professional and so caring through all their process. This was the first time I have ever hired anyone to look after my baby and I’m so glad they came to my rescue. Had a chance to meet with Emery and Lindsay and they are super nice and put all my worries to rest. On the day of, when I came home after a long day, I saw a note giving me a quick update on what my dog did. It was very comforting and even more reassuring was their posting of the pictures on to their Facebook site.
So, so, so thankful for them and will continue to use their services. They are awesome!!!
