Castle K-9

I love Castle K-​9. Rosalba is wonderful with the dogs. I have been going there for a few years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I love castle k9. Rosalba is amazing with the pets. I have always been very skeptical or better said terrified taking my dogs to the groomers. One if mine has seizures. But rosalba was a god send! My babies were treated amazingly! And were not even nervous when going.
The only negative i can say is that i moved to chicago and rosalba cant be convinced on moving! Going to miss her!
Do not think twice about taking your pets here. You will not be sorry!!!

Rosalba and her staff are absolutely the best! They treat every dog like their own and give you a card at the end with the status of your dogs teeth, ears, eyes and skin. She spent an extra 15 min after I picked up my dog explaining how to properly brush him. Rosalba truly cares about dogs and will always tell you what’s best for them!

Is it possible to give more than 5 stars? If it was, this is a business and a business owner, who would get it. I have been using Rosalba for our 2 dogs since she opened her amazing business.
We have 2 dogs, Teddy and Hazel. Our beagle Hazel is easy going, carefree and friendly, like most Beagles. Teddy, is a rescue, mix breed, who was nervous, scared and unsure of most people. Rosalba and her staff were unbelievably patient, calm and caring with Teddy. He was never aggressive, but very timid. Rosalba’s calming manner, caring touch and clear love for animals won Teddy over. It didn’t take long for Teddy to completely trust the staff and actually enjoy coming to Castle K-​9 for his grooming. I don’t believe any other business would have been as patient with Teddy. The easy, calm docile dog is always going to be easy to work with. But, a special dog like Teddy, who came from a questionable background, needed the extra special care only Castle K9 could provide.
I would highly recommend Castle K9, Rosalba and her entire staff. Any negative reviews of the business are obviously in the minority and certainly not the belief of any customers who care about their animals. If you truly do love your dog, there IS no where else to take them.

As I have said before when I reviewed Castle K-​9, there is no better groomer in all of the South Bay. My Silky Terrier, Toby, has a date with Rosalba, Amie, and Yuki every two weeks. They are truly the most wonderful, caring, and meticulous dog groomers out there! I even bring my boyfriend’s Chihuahua to see Rosalba and to keep Toby company on his bimonthly baths.
Rosalba has been such a wonderful friend to me and my family, and she is an incredible person let alone business owner. Anyone who says otherwise is sorely mistaken. As for the person who posted the negative review, his judgment over any sort of personal matters are clouding what Rosalba does for a living. She is truly one of a kind, and there is not another person out there who I would trust with my fur babies as I trust Rosalba.

Rosalba and her staff deserve 100 stars. You will never ever find a more caring and professional groomer than Castle K9. Please don’t let the negative review influence you in any way. I trust Rosalba and would never take my two dogs anywhere else. From the moment we walk through the door, Violet and Zoie are greeted with love and compassion. Not only do they get the best grooming treatment, Rosalba also keeps records of each dog and let’s me know if she finds any health issues that she’s concerned with. Rosalba is like family and anyone who uses her is very lucky to have her caring for your dog.

I don’t normally take the time to write reviews, but I saw just saw a very hateful and negative one that was posted here and felt obliged to share my experiences. I have been taking my dogs to them for grooming since they opened I think in 2010 and have NEVER had anything but courteous, professional, and personal treatment. My dogs are not just clients, but rather they are taken care of as though they were their own — Marley and Princesa love going there to get groomed. The place is very clean, good smelling, and I have NEVER seen a dog barking or crying there. The owner and the staff are very loving towards my dogs and care for them tremendously, which is one of the reasons I keep going back to them. I recommend Castle K-​9 to anyone who has a beloved pet!

As you can see from my account I am not a very active member of the Unilocal community. But I felt the need to once again comment on this fine business in lieu of the previous comment left on 12/​19/​2014 by «Carl Z.» The aforementioned comment is a malicious personal attack on the business owner, rooted in a relationship that predates the existence of the business. This is not the forum for that and I’ll leave it there. I live in New York, I’m from Southern California and spend a fair amount of the year there. My mother, who lives in Southern California, and I have between us four rescue dogs and a rescued cat. We’re animal lovers, donating members of the ASPCA and the Humane Society, we are highly selective about our animals needs. Castle K-​9 offers exemplary grooming services, conscientious of any skin or health issues your pet may have and frankly the staff provides a very obvious loving attentiveness to your pet. If you are selective about who is around your pet, appreciate knowing your pet will be kindly cared for, and protected in your absences, please take them to Castle K-​9 for their grooming needs. Again, this is a forum to rate the caliber of a business and provide proper guidance to others in need of a high quality experience.

This place is amazing! The owner and staff are very professional and they do amazing work. They go above and beyond with service and they take exceptional care of our little dog Coconut. I will not take my dog anywhere else. The price is amazing for what they do and the haircuts are so perfect. Highly Recommended. 5 Star Plus!

This rating is based on my personal experience with the owner of K-​9 along with references to others that have had run-​ins shall we say, but are older and may not be comfortable reporting their experiences online. I feel it my duty to warn any potential customers that seek out her service to be warned. My first run in with her was when picking up my dad’s dog with my father a few months ago. At the time he was in his last few months of life (cancer) and was very frail and unable to walk very well. My introduction to the owner consisted of her barking at me (seriously I do not exaggerate) about how he better give the dog away before he dies. I held back from giving her the tongue lashing she deserved ONLY out of respect for my father (who has since passed). This happened with others, but I’ll leave the specifics out of this review as it happened to me personally so I feel more than justified in posting it.
The reason to be concerned about leaving your beloved pet in the care of this business isn’t due to the quality of service, and not even because the owner is out of her mind narcissistic but rather because she’s not of stable mind, and that to me puts my pet in harms way. Thought everyone should know.

I’ve been taking my pooch for a few years now… I really trust the care that the owner, Rosalba, puts into her work. I also really love and appreciate the two hardworking groomers, Aimee & Yuki. The three of them make a great team, that I can trust my pup with.
My only complaint is with the price, which has gone up since I started coming here. In this economy it’s becoming more and more difficult to make the appointments. I used to go to 4 Dogs on Crenshaw Blvd, which was quite good as well, and they charge half the price.
I prefer Rosalba simply because you can clearly see inside the grooming area, and she feels comfortable giving you a tour of the complete bathing area in the back on request. (4 Dogs has refused to do that with me).
They are very thorough and let you know of any medical concerns they may come across that you may not be aware of. I only wish they dropped their prices, or had a coupon or monthly special.
To the girl (Ashley K) who posted a negative review, without actually walking in and seeing the place for yourself. You have clearly gotten the wrong impression. I suggest you give it a second go, and this time, perhaps try walking in so you can actually see the place yourself. Rosalba is a wonderful woman who sincerely cares about the dogs under her care. She’s also a very busy woman who takes her work very seriously. Advanced appointments are absolutely necessary, and understand that grooming here is not cheap by any means.

Wow! This is the most amazing and caring please you can take your fury little friend to get all dolled up. Rosalba and her crew are loving and caring. My son «Fafi» has been going there since the first day the doors opened. I have been so busy that I have neglected taking him in for his monthly visit the last two months and if Fafi could talk he would say, «Hey mom PLEASE stop messing around and take me to my monthly appointment to Castle K-​9!» But truly, no one takes better care of your fuzzy loved one like Castle. Poor Fafi is a historical anti-​social Yorkie and does not really care anyone but «immediate family». It amazes me how he runs to her EVERY TIME! Thank you Rosalba and your staff for being so loving and gentle to our little furry loved ones!

I’m new at this — I’ve never had pups before and it was such a relief to find Castle K-​9! I have been to other places before and no one but Rosalba does such an amazing job grooming and taking care of Zoe and Athena! Rosalba is a wealth of knowledge about dogs… I really appreciate her advice! I feel at ease leaving them with someone who loves my dogs like I do. We all love visiting Rosalba and Castle K-​9 and I think you will too!

The reviews sounded good so I figured I’d call to get more info on price, appointment availability, and services. I never got past price because of how rude the lady who answered the phone was. Unfortunately, regardless of the reviews I’ll keep searching for a place who doesn’t leave such an ill first impression.

Our little Bichon-​Poo rescue needed cleanup & styling. I found Castle K-​9 on Unilocal after our new vet had recommended someone near them who’d gotten terrible reviews. Rosalba, the owner, and Amy, the groomer we worked with, did fabulous work. We wanted Toby to have a natural look, not the poof that most Bichons have, and they did exactly what we asked. Rosalba is reassuring, experienced and kind. Our little guy looked terrific & seemed happy to have been there. And Amy gave him a perfect haircut, unlike the awful one he had when we got him. Price is reasonable and competitive, facility is clean and orderly. There are groomers 5 minutes away from me, but I’m happy to drive 20 minutes to get to Castle K-​9.

Love this place. They really cared about my Maltie poo. They treated her like she was their own. I highly recommend and trust this staff. They do a great job on the full groom and taught me how to properly brush my dogs teeth. Great staff, great grooming skills and great price!

I just relocated to Redondo Beach from across the country and feel so blessed to have found Castle K-​9! I read the great reviews on here and was convinced to give it a try. I brought my 11 month old Yorkie puppy and he was given THE BEST treatment, as was I! I was given a full tour of the facility and shown the natural products used in the process. It is extremely obvious that Castle K-​9 truly cares for the animals, treats them with love and compassion, and always looks for the best interest of the animal. My puppy has some issues and has been known to be especially difficult during grooming, but they did not give up on him — instead they gave him the best experience he’s had yet! I was also given wonderful tips in training and caring for my new puppy, as well as a very helpful recommendation for a new vet, since I am new to this area. I really appreciate the time, attention to detail, and loving care that was given to my pup and I can’t wait to bring him back! Every pet and pet owner should be so fortunate as to experience Castle K-​9! I will absolutely be back and hope others will as well. Thank you, Castle K-​9, for the warm welcome to LA!

I’d like to take a minute to give some feedback on Castle K-​9. My dogs Bailey and Brandy have been going to Rosalba and staff for 2 years now. Both of my dogs came from the shelters and were timid when they first went in to see her. I don’t consider Castle K-​9 just a grooming salon. I see them as one of my dogs health care providers. Keeping your dog happy and clean is all part of taking proper care of your dog.
Now on to the details:
Owner Rosalba was just opening up shop and I wanted to find a groomer for my new babies. She is wonderful– cares about the dogs well being, not just about the grooming process. She takes time to bond with the dogs and become their friend which is something I had never found in my previous dog’s groomer. For example., she always points out if they have an ooowwie or other skin issue that needs to be tended to.
She gives them love when they are with her, which i know they enjoy.
Now onto the grooming! Both dogs look great when they come out. Very clean, especially their ears and under their feet. She does a great page boy cut on my dog Bailey’s ears and Brandy as well. The temperature in the salon is very comfortable. We were having a heat wave recently and it felt wonderful in there so I know the dogs were not hot.
Prices are very reasonable for the area. You must book a couple of weeks ahead with the salon as they book up. Word has gotten around. This does not bother me in the least, I am just grateful i have found Rosalba and staff. You have to appreciate the good ones when they come around :)

I have a new miniature schnauzer puppy… well, she’s about 8 mos. old now… but I’ve only had my vet groom her… so I was looking for a new place, as going to the vet’s is not always the «happiest» time for her. I saw the reviews here on Unilocal and decided to try Castle K-​9. When I called Rosalba, she invited me to come check out the business before booking an appointment. They showed me where they bathed the dogs, the products they used, and answered any questions I had very willingly. The thing I liked best is that I only had to drop her off for a few hours, not all day, so she wasn’t stuck in a tiny cage for hours waiting for me to pick her up. When I did pick her up, she was the cleanest I’ve seen her yet! She looked beautiful and had the most gorgeous, soft, fluffy fur. I just had to ask them to take the bow out of her hair. ;-) I think this is a very responsible and high quality grooming business, and I will definitely be using them again!

My Toy Poodle Nene absolutely loves being pampered with Amy at this shop. We recently adopted a St. Bernard and he will be going here as well. The owner Rosealba and groomers here are awesome at what they do and most importantly… they are total dog lovers! Their prices are VERY affordable, a lot lower than others groomers… Overall, everyone there is really friendly and nice towards me and my pets, they have definitely won my loyalty.
