Our buddy Mike is from Alabama and he says that this place reminds him of the south. The one near us in Culver City shutdown recently, so we decided to drive to Redondo Beach. Anything for Mike. This one is in a mall in a less than ideal location. We were excited to be eating at Chicken Now and all the others decided to order the chicken tenders. For a change I decided to order the #3 Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Based on the picture on the menu I expected a sandwich with a big piece of fried chicken breast. But what I got were two chicken tenders stuffed in a bun. It also came loaded with a ton of jalapenos which are not seen in the picture on the menu. I am glad it was me and not Mike eating this sandwich. The sandwich was good and the fries are the best. I would have given them four stars if they would have served me what they had advertised.

The fries are to die for. Whatever they are coated in is delicious. The service was very fast compared to other chicken nows I have been to. I recommend this place to anyone who lives chicken.

Where do I start? I’d ordered the spicy grilled chicken sandwich(a la carte). It was quite pricey for what it was. The chicken sandwich didn’t wow me. It’s something you can make at home, maybe even better. It was a bit soggy. Hey, I was hungry. I ate it… it was not spicy at all. It was actually bland. A few hours later, I had the worst upset stomach. I’m 100% sure it was the chicken sandwich. I was fine before eating it, & I ate nothing afterwards. After my stomach churning, I’d Unilocaled this place. Some good, some bad reviews. After reading through each of them, I really felt I got food poisoning. Who knows what’s going on behind the scenes… raw chicken cross-contamination, cockroach & vermin everywhere, dropped food(as mentioned in another review). Ugh… I’ve been watching too much«Kitchen Nightmares.» It could be possible. Anyways, eat here at your own risk. Be kind to your stomach. If you think this place is comparable to Chik-Fil-A, shame on you. Anyways, do yourself a favor & get a chicken sandwich at McDonald’s instead. EATMOR CHIK-FiL-A, not Chicken Now!

I have walked by this place several times whenever I am at this mall. This place replaced Chic-Fil-A which I don’t know why they decided to move down the street(maybe they got tired of being in the ghetto ria mall). Being a fatass that I am(hey at least I got my protein in) I decided to try it and not having to wait around for Stone Oven because of the line. This place is located between Mickey D’s and Mongolian BBQ. The food is just ok. The chicken wrap is worth mentioning though and the fries are good. One of the empolyees gave me extra sauce even though extra sauce 50¢. At least ketchup wasn’t 50¢. I gave some of my fries to my nephew which he loves. The fries is coated with something. For food court fast food it is just okay. Not worth mentioning though.

I went to this location. They screwed up my order. The girl who gave my order away blamed the customer who took it.(She says the guy said it was his order. I was there so, I know that was B.S.) The cashier was too busy flirting with this guy to notice. So, no. I won’t be coming back. If I end up feeling like buying chicken, I’ll just buy from McD.

Food is good. Service is terrible. I had 3 uneducated individuals taking my order. Not a single hello or even eye contact. While waiting for my food I noticed that 1 young guy & a girl tossing around the fry scooper. When I went back for a refill 2 of the girls were talking in front of me throwing«fuck» after every other word. As well as saying«it’s hot up in this bitch». Luckily, I only stopped by on business matters and will not be coming back to this place. I do not recommend it.

The Food came very fast. And the service was very friendly. I had a Chicken BLT Wrap and it was the best wrap I’ve had in a long time. I would recommend this to others.

The food at Chicken Now is overall fair. Though, the French fries are pretty good. They seem to be fried in some way that the finished product looks like it has a double crust of some sort. Nevertheless, it’s tasty(b/c it’s greasy). Now for the actual chicken, it is good, but it could be better.

This place is doomed to fail, unfortunately. I know it. Anything next to McDonald’s ends up dieing some way or another. I kept seeing lines of people come and go at McDonald’s while I ate my delicious chicken sandwich from here. The chicken that they use is huge and flavorful. The have this spicy house sauce that adds a nice little kick to your meal. But like I said, I just know this place will one day shut down because apart from duking it out with McDonald’s, they gotta fight Panda Express, and a handful of different food options. Good luck, Chicken Now.

I had the grilled chicken sandwich combo. I got more grilled chicken than necessary but it was cooked nicely. The lettuce was Romaine but soggy. The sandwich comes with a big serving of nicely seasoned fries(though they were barely warm) but you can substitute corn, cole slaw, and mashed potatoes with gravy for it. **One free refill on your drink.** My Diet Coke tasted different though, like it was Diet Pepsi. My friend got the fried chicken sandwich and there was a hair in it. They were very apologetic and quickly replaced it. She was ok with getting another one. I was satisfied with my meal because I choose the healthier grilled option and the meal was filling. I think $ 7.49 was a fair price for the combo. You can sample their fried chicken with mild or spicy sauce. The spicy sauce was not spicy to me, however. The cool thing about this mall is that at the elevator closest to the food court, there’s a sign listing healthier meal options at the food court.

I’m not satisfied with their food. Their coke doesn’t taste like coke and their fries taste bland.

My husband remembered being really impressed by their fried chicken in the past so we checked it out since we are never at a mall, and rarely eat fried stuff. We shared a 4 piece basket which comes with your choice of side and a piece of Texas toast. Seeing the concept of the place it reminded me of golden chick back home in Dallas which I really like. This chicken was not dry, but not particularly juicy either. The biggest disappointment was the barely there breading. I love texture and crunch in my food. Overall it was a poor teaser to remind of a better place back home.

I use to work here at the Chicken Now and after seeing how the way they treat their food. I would recommend NOONE to eat here. They are only money hungry and don’t give two shits about the customers. I have actually seen with my two eyes a cook dropping on the ground and still served it to a customer. When I asked why did you send out the food, their answer was, «It doesn’t matter if it fell, it’s still good. Yeah right. It’s been on the floor. Our shoes are dirty we’ve been walking on all kinds of shit. So please, do as I say and save yourselves from food poisoning.

Best chicken nuggets I’ve had in awhile!!! It’s actually chicken tenders cut into bite size pieces(refer to photo). The batter was nice and crispy, not too thick, well seasoned and meat was juicy and tender. Take it to another level of deliciousness by dipping in their house made spicy sauce. Maybe I was just hungry at the time, but they were really, really good. ORDERIT! Chicken Now is a fast food inside the South bay Galleria food court, where Chick Fil-A used to be. It’s between Mologian BBQ and McDonalds. They mainly serve fried chicken and other chicken stuff with decent portions and reasonable prices.

I was not sure of this restaurant since I was in a food court in the mall. I have always liked chicken clubs on texas toast(similar to Sonic) and decided to try. I was pleasantly surprised of the moistness of the chicken and the sauce was very tasty. I like the sandwich here more than sonic’s!

In my opinion, the best fried chicken tenders around!!! Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. And while the batter is crispy, it isn’t too dense, too light, too greasy, or over-spiced. Chicken tenders are perfect, but my favorite is the spicy chicken wrap. It’s my guilty pleasure whenever I go to the mall. And yes, the fries are an added bonus. Yummy, crispy, perfectly beer-battered goodness. Not to mention that EVERYTIME I’m go there, the staff is nice, fun, and always have a smile on their faces. Definitely a must-have when I’m at the Galleria!

Tried Chicken Now for the first time since they took over the old ChickFilA spot in the Galleria. Their menu looks similar to ChickFilA except they also offer items like Waffles and Nachos. I stuck with just ordering the Original Chicken Sandwich and Fries. I didn’t care for the sauce that they put on the sandwich and had I known I would of ordered it dry, their picture on the menu is deceiving because you can’t see any sauce. In terms of the chicken itself, it was pretty good, very similar to ChickFila. The one thing I did like was the Fries, they had a cajun taste to them and reminded me of Jack in the Box Curly Fries even though they’re actually straight fries. If I came back here again I would definitely order my sandwich dry with the sauce on the side.

everything they have was very delicious! texas French toast is my FAVE! It was toasted just right and tasted so good! Chicken Now in my opinion is between Chick Fil A and KFC, their chicken was crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. VERYDELICIOUS! Lastly, their fries were AMAZING, it was just so crispy! also, their orange sauce was so good to me! it kind of reminds me of thousand island dressing but much better!

Chicken Now reminds me a lot of Nevada favorite Raising Cane’s. Both restaurants primarily serve chicken strips with«Texas Toast» and french fries. Chicken Now adds a few extra items to the menu like chicken sandwiches, yet it is only a mall-based location. I remember seeing one open at the Westside Pavilion; also one is opening soon at the Baldwin hills Crenshaw Plaza. So this chain is definitely expanding. This is a good thing — the food is definitely passable, and as far as the chicken: Huge breast strips freshly prepared and served. Crispy and juicy all the way through such that even a 3-piece was too much for me(that doesn’t happen much!) The French Fries definitely needed some work though. They were bland and mostly just filler; this is no fault to the cooking method, as they were justly crispy and by all rights should have been great. The Texas Toast was also different from Cane’s in a few ways. The bread was toasted on both sides, with only a small amount of butter on one side(Whereas Cane’s only toasts one side of the bread and leaves the other side untoasted). A big factor of a place like this is the sauce they give you for the chicken strips. Chicken Now definitely tries to emulate the Cane’s sauce(hence the many comparisons). Their special sauce still has the peppery bite, but is missing a ‘tangy’ component that really i what tickles the taste buds. Overall this place is a fine addition to the classic mall establishments which mostly consist of pizza and loosely defined«chinese food». The gripes I have with them all stem from comparing them to a chain that I cannot honestly get to in any significant amount of time, so barring those, I would definitely come back to enjoy the delicious chicken strips and possibly try the sandwiches as well.
