CUP OF SPA… HIDDEN GEM IN THE SOUTHBAY.
I first had the deep pore cleansing facial earlier this year and from then on, I was addicted. Shoko, who owns and operates Cup of Spa, is the best. I was actually looking through Unilocal and I stumbled upon cup of spa. I am so glad that I did!
Her reviews are all true. She provides the best service and she is the best. She is nothing short of amazing. If I could rate her more than 5 stars, I would.
While looking through her reviews the first time, I was really impressed. No one had anything bad to say. TRUTHFULLY, there isn’t any thing bad to say because she is awesome. Shoko is the nicest person and is very friendly.
OK let’s get down into the important deets. So her business is located in a place where she is a little bit hidden. There is ample parking.
You book your appointment through a different website. For my subsequent facials, I actually booked her about 4 months in advance. She is quite the busy lady! She goes above and beyond every time I get a facial.
I believe the website is Vargaro, where you can book your appointments. They will send you text and email reminders as your appointment approaches.
Shoko uses awesome smelling products and will let you know what she is going to do as she does it. Her hands are very light and soothing. She will also give you a quick shoulder and foot massage during the facial.
There is only one facial bed and she only has one client there at a time. The inside is very cute and cozy.

First time coming to this facility. I’ve had facials before at other places. Only one place out of all I liked. But she moved to San Dimas and that’s pretty far for me. I couldn’t find a decent place with reasonable prices like the one I used to go too. My sister came to Cup of Spa and she recommend it to me, she said Shoku was good and I should try and see if I like it. I check her website and saw her spa packages she offered and the prices weren’t bad at all. I decided to book an appointment for the deep pore cleansing facial which is 70min long for $ 50, what a deal! She did an amazing job I actually fell asleep for a bit while she massage my face before the extraction. She also provided a foot massage which it didn’t say on the description of the facial so that’s a plus! I will definitely be going back every month! I found a place I liked… finally!

If you want a facial treat for yourself, Shoku is the one to go see. Her spa is nothing luxurious or hedonistic but you will surely feel as if you just got out of one. Its all on the treatment and the service that she provides. Her facial bed is simple yet comforable, the cutained room is somewhat makeshift but it exudes a zen like energy. Her music is soothing I end up falling asleep most of my treatment. Shoku’s experice and professionalism leaves me content and appreciative especially days after my treatment. My face just glows with radiance thanks to Shoku. Did I mention that her pricing is significantly less compared to any other spa.
I highly recommend Cup of Spa for self indulgment!

My Japanese friend has beautiful skin and I asked her what was her secret and she told me about this place. $ 39 for 55 min basic facial was just amazing. Shoko-​san, the owner examined my skin and she customized the facial treatment based on my skin condition. She has wonderful reputation among Japanese women, so you can definitely trust her experience and skills. I will visit her once a month for sure! Highly recommended!

This is my second time going to Shoko and I absolutely love her! The first time I went to her, I got the basic facial and I loved my glowing face as I walked out the door! Today is my second time going to Shoko and I got the deep pore cleaning facial. My chin area needed it so badly and Shoko did an amazing job with the extractions. My face has never felt so clean! I must warn you though, the extractions do hurt more when the acne is already showing on your face. BUT the pain is worth it! I recommend Shoko to anyone! I will definitely be bringing my family and my boyfriend to this place as well!

So happy I found this little gem. Shoko knows what she is doing and I scheduled online and we changed it up a bit according to my skin once I got there. She looks out for your pocket book too which is so appreciated. Her products are awesome and she does not push any on you.
I hope to come monthly and will bring my daughters too!

Shoko is the owner and sole operator of this spa. I just came back from a 3 weeks trip where I was baked by the hot sun and powdered by city dust… I needed a facial to rejuvenate so I booked my appointment. You can book your appointment online. It’s so easy and the system will send you reminders. Shoko doesn’t even ask for a credit card to hold the appointment like most places do. I asked her why and she said because her clients are good people and there’s only been 3 no shows in the past few years.
About Shoko —
She’s been an aesthetician for 20+ years. She was previously an accountant and decided that she wanted a career that she loved and accounting wasn’t it so she became an aesthetician. She shared that she loves helping people feel good and beautiful and that she’s lucky that she gets to do this everyday. Her experience includes working for Burke Williams in Santa Monica for ten years, a company that she had nothing but good things to say. Now, I’ve had facials with Burke Williams before and I will pick Shoko any day. The value and quality is just unbeatable.
Shoko’s facial was extremely relaxing. My skin felt so good and had a nice clean glow afterward. Not to mention, it’s extremely good value! When she’s done, she puts SPF on your face so it’s no problem to walk out into the sun.
Moreover, Shoko has integrity. While many places push for products or future appointments, Shoko said to me «your skin is fine, you don’t need to come that often» and when I asked her about back facial she said «let me see your back» … «Ah half session is enough if you want to try.»
It’s so refreshing to meet an aesthetician like Shoko. I will definitely come back often to support her business. Wonderful Cup of Spa :)))

I called Shoko as I needed somebody to help me with a clogged pore near my eyebrow that got infected. She was so sweet and accomodating. She fit me in and helped me by extracting the clogged pore. She was busy the whole time during the facial and for $ 39, I feel like it is a steal. The whole facial process was so pleasant and I will definitely be back.

I continue to go to Cup of Spa for my facials by Shoko, she is sweet, kind, gentle and does a great job. My face always feels so wonderful when she is done and last for weeks. I also enjoy her gentle foot massage. She is the best and I continue to recommend her.

I moved to this area last year and was looking for a good facial and I found cup of spa on where else but Unilocal.What more can I say than what the other reviewers have not already said about this gem of a place.
Very clean, Shoko knows what she’s doing, takes the time, especially with extractions, uses great products and lets you know what she’s doing. I am a regular now.
If you are looking for a quality facial at a very very reasonable price, look no further.

This place is a hidden gem. $ 39 for a facial is awesome, and this place is clean and cute. She does a great job with using all natural and great-​smelling products, and her extractions are very thorough (I hate going to places where they barely do anything and you are able to extract more yourself at home after the facial). I especially love that you get to choose a free eyebrow wax or massage with the facial, and a mini foot rub is included as well. I’m hooked!

Shoko is wonderful!!! I love this small cozy spa. Shoko never wants to take money out of your pocket. She gave me so many good advices for my skin and help me to save money too. Absolutely recommend this spa to everyone!

As everyone commented, Shoko was good & sweet and honest! I heard about this place from my friend. I live in Los Feliz, Los Angeles. I drove all the way down to 110S to try this great affordable facial. And I was very happy about the treatment. I had relaxing 1 hour. There were prenty of parking at the complex. She asked me that I can choose longer facial massage or eye brow wax or baby mustache removal wax. I choose longer facial massage. She even gave me foot massage while I was on Mask. That was very wonderful.
And product she used were very tender on skin. Wish I have her in Los Angeles.
