Suzi Lobue is a talented artist and when it comes to jewels she knows her stuff. I met suzi in 1994 and she has created sevreal pieces that are truly legacy pieces. I have small fingers so most of my jewlery has to be custom or sized. She sat down with my husband to create a wonderful engagement ring and fifth anniversary. She also can take something“unwearable” and give it new life. from simple to artsy, from inexpensive to once– in– a– lifetime– all– in ;-) The people I have referred to her over the years have been very happy and relieved to know an honest jeweler. She cares about the art and your budget. the shop is filled with unique gift ideas from other artists as well.

Jim is an artist. At our 25^th anniversary, we took in my wedding ring. He listened to what I envisioned and to my taste in general. He designed a new ring, using the original diamond & gold. I enjoy my ring every time I look at it. Great customer service.

Over the years they have made several pieces for me and I love their work. Recently I was visiting from another state and I brought in a piece that they make but needed repair. Susan did a wonderful job.
I had a jeweler tell me I needed to replace my wedding ring and she looked at it and told me «nothing is wrong with your ring». Next time I need something repaired I’ll ship it to them.

Equus … EQUUS … Equus is the name that I see! Had a hard time checking-​in.
This place has many nice pieces! My first encounter was when the store was closed and all I could see was a limited window display. I finally made it back during opening hours. Yes, it’s a bit hard to describe some of the choices available without pictures. In particular, I enjoyed the jewelry and textile art.

I was looking for a place to purchase my husband’s wedding ring in LA as well as wedding earings, I definitely didn’t expect to find these two things in the same place. I looked at many places but loved noone’s selection. Finally we found Equus and I am so glad we did!
I looked EVERYWHERE for the perfect earings and figured I was just going to have to settle, because I am so picky. I was so wrong. The lady who designs the earings is amazing! She made me beautiful unique pearl earings! She just had me draw/​describe what I wanted she «put something together» ensuring me if it wasn’t perfect she would just change it. She had a wide variety of pearls to look at, so I was in no way limited. They came out amazing!
As far as my husbands ring was concerned, we also looked at tons of places but most places we went were really limited in their selection or overpriced. Equus doesn’t have rings @ the store readily available, they have a huge book with EVERY kind of ring imaginable. We ordered a couple to look at and came back 2 days later to try them on. It took 2 orders but we found his PERFECT ring and felt that the price was very fair! It feels good when you don’t feel like your getting ripped off or have to question the quality of soemthing so important.
Lastly their customer service is amazing, I have a crazy schedule and our designer kept the store open a little late for us so that we could make sure we had everything on time.
I reccomend them for any special unique piece of jewewly you are looking for.

Equus gallery has been around for nearly 30 years.
Recently they moved from there digs (truly because it was a hard to find HOLE!) on PCH between Palos Verdes Inn and the former Strand club… er I mean Bristol Farms, to fairer climes at:

While the bright airy new location is a refreshing change, the one thing that didn’t need a change was the service, and it hasn’t!
James and Susan have been designing creating beautiful pieces for years and with Christina’s help the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
They carry their own originals as well as a number of local artists, many gorgeous glass pieces as well as custom work.
James recently performed a seamless alteration on my wife’s wedding band and I’ve purchased a number of items from them over the past 10 years, including some of our most treasured Christmas Tree ornaments.
