The other day I went into Hot Dog on a Stick around 7:30 and Alysa was the only one working. She had a little line but even though she was by herself she made it happen! She sampled me her favorite lemonade cherry/mango and made me fall in love! She had great customer service glad she was the one to serve me! :)

I am constantly craving hot dog on a stick… but can never decide if I want the actual hot dog or the cheese. So this time I went with my boy and he and I shared a combo… lol This comes with the fries, but had to get the drink seperate… all in all I guess it wasn’t that expensive, but come on… its a hot dog on a stick… regardless of the price… I will be back… hooked.

I called last minute around 130pm for a party order of 50 corn dogs for 4:30pm. After being turned down at the Carson mall location, I decided to call this one. And I know your suppose to call 24 hrs in advance. But luckily for me the manager Ashlea accepted my order. And the night shift manager(I’m sorry but I don’t remember her name! It starts with a J tho!!!) was really awesome! The workers were great as well! I definitely will be coming here a lot more for party orders. Thank you again!!!

Hot Dog on a Stick is the traditional food court offering on the third floor of the South Bay Galleria. Between Thai Cuisine and Stone Oven Sandwiches, it is right in the middle. It’s a small stand but the food court is huge and there are lots of seats. The menu is simple but you come for one thing. A freshly dipped and fried corn dog using either a turkey dog($ 2.85), a beef hot dog(Nathan’s; $ 3.25) or a veggie dog. Our little family of 3 split the two stick combo with an extra corn dog and a souvenir size cup of the lemonade. For less than $ 20, DH and I each had 1.5 corn dogs and the little one had her own. We also shared an order of fries. The fries are your classic shoestring variety. DH and little one enjoyed them. The corn dogs are really good. I have only had one better, and they took it off the menu. Here, the corn meal batter is even, hot and crispy. The mild turkey dog or the more interesting beef dog(more seasoning) provide the meaty interior. It’s a simple, delicious dog. DH also loves his cherry lemonade. In addition, the girls working the stand are absolute dolls. Very helpful… we told them what we wanted to end up with, and they came up with the most cost effective way to do it. They also had our food ready in 3 minutes with a smile. And, they kept the ketchup, mustard and napkins in full supply. Jalaney and Ashlea are real gems. Gourmet? No. Tasty? Yes. Come in for a hand dipped guilty pleasure. You won’t break the bank, your stomach will be happy, and you will enjoy service with a smile. I’m a fan.

Worse experience ever. I felt so deceived. Combos are advertised like you actually get a deal. They rotate the prices and details on combo so the people won’t catch on to the highway robbery. You don’t get even a penny off just ordering everything separate. Then we ordered 4 corn dogs but only found 3 in our bag. Employee says we had 4 and we are mistaken. We sat there and counted them and no matter how many times we count, it is only 3. Terrible experience. Very shady business.

Hot Dog on a Stick is a classic mall meal for me. I decided to grab the combo today as usual when in donned on me that I had never tried the lime lemonade. The woman have me a sample, which was really nice. She was very pleasant. Good fast food experience.

10.9.13. It doesn’t matter where I am, if there’s a Hot Dog on a Stick in a mall, that’s where I’m getting my meal. It just so happened that we were at South Bay Galleria & it was that awkward afternoon time, between 1 – 3 pm, when it’s a little too late for lunch but way too early for dinner… but we were still hungry! We decided to head to the food court to see if we could find anything that could hold us over till din din. I spotted the HDS and knew that it would be the perfect«snack» for this awk«meal» time. Prices seemed to be about the same as the HDS in Hawaii; $ 2.50 for a hot dog on a stick, $ 3.00 for a large size lemonade. One thing that I learned about HDS – did you know that the«dog» is actually a turkey dog? Yes! That is the«regular» version of HDS’s hot dog on a stick! You can opt for a beef hot dog for $ 0.50 more. I have never been asked that before – turkey or beef? – at HDS… good to know! It also makes me feel a little less guilty about eating this junk food haha. Unilocal 365 Challenge: #281/365

I completely agree with Beth, this location is definitely a no-go. The ladies at this location have quite an attitude! I rather not go into details with my encounter because I might get really angry … But lets just say that I would much rather stay thirsty than make a purchase with them. I understand this isn’t a glamorous job, but you are there working for a reason — you should make the most out of it. Please stay away if you don’t want your day by the beach ruined.

I love the lemonade… all 3 flavors!!! The staff is always in good spirits, frendly, smiling, and fast. Ordering is very simple, hot dog, cheese stick, fries, and lemonade… can’t really go wrong with that. I like that they have small cups to put your ketchup and mustard in… makes for easy dog dipping! :)

It’s a little past midnight and I am craving Hot Dog on a Stick! Just eat 1 the next time you go there. It won’t fill you up and you will always remember the I-want-more taste. My coworker took me here after a drink on the pier(where an old lady shook her head at me because she thought we were dating and I look half his age). We got our dogs and walked around the pier content with life and stomachs pleased. I think I’ll go back soon one day after work, and I hope I get more dirty looks!

It’s funny how you can watch older men just stare for a long time at the girls in the uniforms. I never come here for the corn dogs because it just reminds me of LAUSD elementary school and the terrible corn dogs they served. The lady and the cafeteria would say HOTDOGON A STICK! However the service here is fast. The girls smile a lot. The Lemonade is always crazy strong!(You might have to water it down) And I leave here one happy dude. They keep the place clean and some of these employees really do care about their job!

I love H.D.O.S., but this location blows! I ordered a couple of dogs for my kids & a lemonade($ 2.75 for a small!) and after my stuff was ready I sat down. My little one started wailing«AH-WA! AH-WA!»(we have a latina nanny) so I went back to the counter & asked for water. I was told they were out of water cups so I asked for a different kind of cup & they said they couldn’t give those away. I said«I paid $ 8.25 for two hot dogs & a lemonade and I can’t have a cup of water?!» and she said«No we can’t give those cups away» so I asked«How much is a cup of water in a lemonade cup then?» and she said«$ 2.75». WTF!!! Bunch of bitches over there — don’t bother!

I used to gag at the sight of corn dogs… that is, until my first Hot Dog on a Stick experience, which was coerced by A MAN, of course. Conveniently located in virtually every mall, I only came here for their grossly enormous cups of fresh cherry lemonade after a long day of shopping. Oh, and also to admire those bitchin’ uniforms!!! But once I bit into my first HDOS corn dog fresh from the deep fryer and smothered in ketchup and mustard, I finally got it. Why these overrated corn dogs are EVERYWHERE. That damn delicious cornbread batter… And their CHEESE on a stick. Who the hell was behind that concept? Paula Deen?
