Nasty stale bread bowl, frozen fries, microwaved chilli cheese fries, burnt burgers, stingy w refills. Doesnt help that the cashier ladyhad a lousy attitude. Never coming again.

This review is about the cashier Cassandra. See was great. Very nice and very helpful. I give her 5 stars! My family also thought she was very nice. The food however was really bad. Spent a good amount of money and all we really enjoyed was the fried clams and clam chowder. We ordered the fajitas… terrible. the chili on the chili dog and chili fries was sour. We usually don’t eat at this place we go to the one next to the arcade. So disappointing.

Horrible customer service the cashier was extremely rude no help whatsoever they took forever with our food I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone very pricey for such horrible service never coming back McDonald’s would have been a better option.

I love the fact that they close at 11PM. The SPICYFISHSOUP that satisfied my late night craving for some Korean-style soup, this was amazing! The wait was long, sad to say but it was all worth it. It was a perfect choice for the cold weather, we got a table where we can watch people and in addition, we had fresh oysters. Cash only. The lady was nice. It’s located at the Fisherman’s wharf. The food was made to order so the veggies in the soup were not over cooked, just right!

This place is alright! Just bad vibe and lady at the cash register was rude. I’m all about customer service, and when I ask a little cup for my puppy, she made a smart remark and did one of those weird noises, like she’s mad I ask. I didn’t even ask for water. I’m sorry, but when we pay 40 bucks for lunch, that wasn’t the remark I wanted. Rude! If you want to decide to go somewhere on this pier, I’d rather you go somewhere else, make your day better!

They actually deserve a zero star, the amount of oil in food is crazy and its just like eating oil, shrimps and fishes have no taste, how anyone can make french fries wrong!!! Many others around have better food…

I never thought you can mess up fried foods, but wow these guys did it. We ordered: –The clam chowder(the only good seafood item at this place. Cold by the time we picked it up at the counter –fried shrimp — extremely mushy. Tasted watered down and mushy. The breading was much more than the shrimp itself. –chicken strips — extremely dry. No flavor, very very dry. My nephew loves chicken strips and only ate a banana in the morning, but this 6 year old drew a line for this. He said«yucky». –fried fish(whole) — even this wasn’t properly done. Tasted over cooked, under seasoned –French fries — extremely soft. No salt and completely unsatisfactory. And I effing love French fries I would suggest learning how to fry properly if your business depends on it soo much. AFTERWASTEINGABOUT $ 100, I REALIZEDTHISPLACEIS A JOKE. How can you have prime location next to the ocean, serve mostly fried foods, and still mess up… Damn. What a waste. Don’t try bringing up any complaints to the manager/owner, he will tell you there’s a line and get rid of you.

If I could give a zero I would. The service is horrendous! It took over half an hour for a cheeseburger and the staff is really rude! The tables are also unclean and disgusting. Do NOT eat here!

Very inexpensive restaurant you can walk up to, roughly $ 5 to $ 10 a plate. Seafood plate a little more but generous servings. Just came for a beer and grabbed some nuggets for little man. The vibe is laid back and the cashier was more then welcoming, offered some advice and chatted it up while waiting for beer and food.

Food is ok, service is average, price is high and remember that you are paying for the location. I wish I can post a 5star if they take my credit card.

The food took forever to come out, it was a chilling cheese dog and it took 15 mins to come out, OMG. The water had something in it and the bun was chuey. Bad experience overall

Came here for the Redondo Beach Food for Cancer Festival and used some tickets on their grilled seafood sampler. For 3 dollars, we got some shrimp, a crawfish, clams and mussels in a spicy onion sauce that was really dark which was pretty rich in flavor… a little on the salty side but for 3 dollars hard to complain! We also got the clam chowder which I thought was about 7−8/10-the chowder was not too thick and not too runny… pretty good! Not a lot of clams in it though… this place is an outdoor food court style which was super relaxing environment. I did get the Asian lady but had no issues with her, maybe because I’m also asian? The beer was cheap(compared to LA) so overall I was pretty impressed for what I got for less than 10 bucks!

I ordered 2 cheese burgers specials, clam chowder bowl, and the chili cheese fries for me and my family. The total came out to about $ 32. I thought it was a bit high but looking at the food pictures on the menu I thought it would be worth it, but I was WRONG! The service was terrible. The old Asian lady was rude from start to finish. The chili cheese fries were microwaved and was way too little for the price of $ 5. The clam chowder was good but the bread was stale and hard as a rock. The cheese burger specials were horrible. The meat was burnt and there were around 8 fries on each plate. I have never ever felt so robbed in my entire life. I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my worst enemy. Oh! Almost forgot to mention that when my little sister and mom went to see about a refill the cashier totally ignored them and walked away. It wasn’t until my mom and sister walked away that she came back to the register. My mom waited until customers showed up to get in line again and when it was my mom’s turn she walked away again! It really ruined the mood for the day. As long as that old Asian lady cashier works there, I’m never ever going back. Her smug face will forever hunt the good memories of The Redondo Beach Pier I once had.

We came here on July 3rd which is a Thursday and it was pretty late so the restaurant we were originally gonna go to was closing already so we figured we’ll give this place a try since we are all hungry for some seafood!(and we already paid the parking and don’t wanna drive around anymore) All of us got the crab special which is one HUGE whole crab! We also got clam chowder, corn, port side shrimp and drinks. It is actually way better than I thought it would be. The crab was $ 27 I think. The shrimp(medium) was something like $ 22 or $ 23, comes with buttered bread and rice. And it also has bell peppers, onion, potatoes, tomatoes in it, taste really good but my fingers smell like that tip I went home and use lots of soap and the metal soap thing that you use to get onion, garlic and fish smell off your hand thing to get that smell away finally. But anyway, that was a lot of food! It might not have the waiter service but basically like an outdoor food court that they call your number and you go up to take the food and find your own table. But the food was good and it’s nice sitting outside enjoying the nice breeze by the ocean at night. I didn’t have the corn and clam chowder but our foodie friends seemed to like them a lot. :) By the way, CASHONLY!

The seasoning for the grilled shrimp was better than anything I’ve ever had. I wish the boiling crab had this option :( Potatoes, onions, green peppers, and yellow peppers were cooked perfectly. I didn’t count the number of shrimps but it was definitely enough to get me fuuuull. It’s a bit overpriced at $ 16.99 for a small but it’s their signature dish so I think it’s understandable. Clam chowder was clam chowder but the bread was awesome blossom!

Ordered the original portside shrimps and spicy squid. Small grill shrimps($ 15.99): Buttery shrimps with potato, bell pepper and sliced onion. I don’t really care for it and it’s expensive. It comes with garlic bread and steam rice. 3 stars! Spicy squid($ 12.99): Korean style spicy squid with thin sliced carrot, zucchini, green onion and onion. It comes with steam rice. 4 stars! Both the shrimp and squid are very fresh. I really like the yummy squid with spicy Korean sauce. They are both served on super thin paper plates. Next time I will bring my own paper plates. Outdoor seatings only, so bring a jacket. QUICKTIP: CA$H ONLY! 3.5 stars! Portside Café on the Pier is kinda yummylicious!
